Had a locker installed here, was installed incorrectly. Scheduled an appt to bring it back to have the thing checked out, called day of to confirm. Drove in from an hour away and when I got there they said I'll have to bring it back another day, they are too busy. Told me I probably broke the locker but they can't even look at it. The owner said that since I didn't speak with him directly on the phone it doesn't matter that I had an appointment. Dirty, miserable shop on top of that, stay away. read more

Very professional. Installed 4.56 gears in truck. They delivered the truck on time as they promised. A family run shop with the family feel of honesty and quality workmanship. It's been a couple years now but I just can't get over the horrible experience I have had with this place. I had a 1964 Convertible Chevy Impala SS that I was trying to get four wheel disc brakes and a power booster installed. They said they could do it and it would take about 2 weeks to do. I told them I wanted Wilwood brakes installed they said no problem and supposedly ordered them. Well a 2 weeks past and I called to check on the status of my Impala and the brakes and they said they haven't had a chance to get to it yet but they would get to it and wrap it up within the next couple of days. Well to make a long story short it took literally about 3 months to get finished because they sent the wrong parts and had to be sent back and when I went to the shop I realized they put Corvette brakes "The wrong parts" on it instead of Wilwood and they didn't install a power booster at all they just installed a new master cylinder and no power booster. They said oh it will stop fine. So I spent the money on what I wanted didn't get it and was no where close to the time they said it would be finished. I should have not paid but by that time I just wanted it to be finished and done dealing with them. read more

I am a short time customer of Nate's but I have had my differential custom built in my 1972 lemans, diff repair on my 2010 mustang GT and trans rebuilt on my dodge 1500. So far all feel as good or better then new. I love the fact they care about their work and it is done to Nate's satisfaction, to point he would do for his own cars. We have known Nate and Jennifer for a couple years now. We had some work done to our vehicle over the years and had some problems afterwards and recently needed something else done that was covered under warranty but when we scheduled an appointment, we kept getting the run around from one thing being said to something else. We have noticed their work ethics are all about themselves and the money. They do not value their customers and kept treating us like we didn't matter after we have always sent them new customers. We also have heard from other customers including the ones we sent that they are disorganized, dishonest, and practice bad business. Very disappointed in this place. read more

Had a used ring & pinion installed in my Dodge Ram 1500. Had concerns about why the speedometer was not reading correctly due to a previous change in tires from 17 inch to 20 inch. I thought the ring & pinion change would correct the speedometer error. I called and left a message for them to call me back. No one ever called. Sent an email message asking them to call me. Again, no one ever called back. I am satisfied with the ring & pinion swap, but it would appear that once they have your money, and are out the door, they no longer want to deal with you. I took my truck to this shop after one side of my axle was bent from hitting a curb, they told me it could be fixed and i paid them to straighten it. It was good for about 3 weeks then while I was driving home my axle that i had just fixed broke off and came out while i was driving! I had to call a tow truck to take it back to there shop, thankfully i was going about 10 mph. When i took it back they said that it wasn't there problem and the only thing they could do was order a new one but i would have to pay for it. So i got charged twice for the same thing when they could of just put a new part in the first place. Also the price of the part was the same as it cost me to straighten the old one. If i knew this i would of just put a new one in the first place and wouldn't have gone through the trouble that i did not to mention risk my life. Never going back again or would recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Went there looking for ring gear bolts for a Ford 9". All other places I called would only sell a full install kit, but AZ Diff carries the bolts by themselves. When I bought the bolts, they gave me some gear marking compound, brushes and a single use tube of locktite for FREE. Even offered to give me torque values over the phone when I needed. Great customer service and I will definitely be going back when I have other drivetrain work to be done. read more

I rarely ever give a review, and when I do, it's because it's well deserved. I come from a background of where time is valuable, and my time is especially valuable for the work that I do. I called Jennifer for a quote for my Bmw lsd, and she responded with a very fair quote. She gave me all their available dates for an appointment, and I made it for a week later. I took a day off of work and used up my vacation day thinking I was getting my car worked on that day. Today, I showed up for my appointment and she said sorry, but we can't work on your car today because their floors were still drying. Than responded by saying they had 32 cars that still need to be worked on. They did not even have the decency to contact me before hand and have me rearrange. They might have decent prices, but it takes some integrity to run a business and stay in business. My conclusions, they are not well organized, they over book customers and tell the ones that show up on time to get lost. Imo, there are plenty of other places to choose from. No one wants to do business with a flakey company. Like I said, there is no way in hell I'm wasting another day of my time and having a 80% chance of being turned away. I called the shop and the girl at the counter told me they have a rebuilt 9" 3rd member for $350. I went there the next day to buy this, it looked used not rebuilt, but I took it anyway. When I got home and put it in my car the yoke did not fit correctly. I called them up and said they would give me the correct one. I pulled the yoke off to find the pinion seal was an old one and full of gunk, at this point I knew it was never rebuilt. When I went there to exchange the yoke I asked her if this was rebuilt, she said no it is used, rebuilt ones go for about $550. I called the day before and asked her if that was rebuilt because I was pricing used ones at junkyards all morning, those only went for $150.00. I figured for another $200.00 I might as well get a rebuilt one. Why would I knowingly pay an extra $200.00 more for a used product. I already got ripped off by another shop 2 days earlier. I will never go back. I spent $900 of my hard earned money (plus they kept all of my old parts) to have them convert my truck to 8 lug (I provided my own complete rear diff and they were to provide front parts for my 44 diff). Nate the owner puts on the salesman face to hook you and then it all goes down hill from there. I picked up the truck an entire week later (3 days of which my truck sat outside in a parking lot) because I kept getting bumped for higher paying jobs that came in. Every single part that they had installed was from there junk piles out back (bearings, tie rods, ball joints brake pads, locking hubs and so on). They also cut my U bolts too short and cut my rear drive line too short. When I questioned him he said "We are not in the business of sending people out of here with worn out parts". 3 weeks later I go back to have tie rods replaced and was put off for another week with the promise that he was ordering new ones, he installed more junk pile parts and told me "The next time they go out you can just replace them yourself". Since then they have gone out AGAIN and the brake pads separated on both sides and at least one ball joint needs replaced. I fear the worst for all the remaining parts installed by Arizona Differential and feel that this was the worst customer service I have ever received. read more

dropped off rear end out of 57 fairlane I am rebuilding, Had already sand blasted and painted. They even commented on how good it looked. Was quoted a price to check it and put back together if ok, if not would call in a day or two to advise if needed anything. Said ok was timeing picking other parts up in area also because live far away from shop. She then said we can deliver to you but if we do cant put oil in it. Waited 8 business days had not heard anything, called was told ya it needs stuff "can I call you back in ten minutes" waited 3 hours, I called back was given to Nate told me needed some bearings quoted a price. Said OK when could it be done told me end of next business day or early next morning.Was in area next day about 3pm stopped bye fiquiring if it was close to being done would wait. Met with nate, showed me its progress was not even close. Asked if would be done would wait for it since live far away, he said no early in am but he can meet me at 16th street nd carefree hwy, I said oh that would be great, But I was told cant put oil in then, Nate said "ill put oil in it". Next day I called at 2pm to make sure all was still good with meeting said yes asked what time around 6:30pm, otherwise will head and get now, asked if had my cell number. Went to corner bye 6:30 so would not have to wait for me. waited for 1 1/2 hours no call no show. Next morning called said I think you forgot about me. said truck broken couldnt deliver!!!! you have my number!!!! he said would deliver to me it showed up a hour later at my work not tied down rolling around in back of pickup bed . Found note on it no oil thank goodness did that since was told it had oil in it. when unloading noticed 2 nuts on casing only on by a thread or 2 (have pictures) called asked about oil Nate said when we deliver dont put oil asked him about our conversation day before. he then said "i'll bring you oil if its that big of deal" I guess when pay for complete rebuild you want what you pay for. then asked about loose bolts told me to get wrench and tighten them up??????? when I did, found 4 more that were not tight asked about seal said should be good?? would call me to get me oil, still waiting. Then got call 3 days later saying lost my rearend advised I had mine but was waiting for oil she told me how everyone had quit or was fired hmmm 2 of people that worked on mine or delivered mine and Im suppose to believe they did good job putting it back together. this is a project car wont have running till long after 1 year warranty. They had several chances to make this a great reveiw by going out of their way to meet up with me or by just following through on any of their promises. instead I am left wondeing if should take to another shop to have it checked. sorry about being long winded but I see some of your other answers to other posts This is all facts read more

I own an auto repair shop in Mesa. I don't do differential work so I had to sublet it out to someone. I sought out AZ Differential because they participated at a charity event I volunteered at. I sent a customer to them and he said he felt they did a good job. I brought a rear differential to them out of a 2006 Toyota 4Runner that was in an accident. It had a broken left axle and a bent housing (according to them). They told me they would call me when they got it apart. They never called me and when I called them they said the axle was a couple days away and I wouldn't get it until Monday. I understand parts are sometimes hard to get but it would have been nice if they called me like they said they would so I could let the customer know who was staying in a motel. They got the axle early and I picked up the differential to get it done by the end of Friday. During my installation I notice that the left rear speed sensor is broken beyond use. It was intact when I unplugged it during removal of the differential. I tried to straighten out the pins to see if I can plug the connector on it and the sensor breaks into two pieces. I call AZ Differential and Nate the owner admitted he glued the sensor back together and it should be fine. I told him it broke in two and it's $178 to replace. He said he'd call me back. Jennifer the manager calls me back and said it must have gotten broken in transit but she offered to pay half. There is no way this could have gotten broken in transit because it's too close to the backing plate of the rotor. All this was going on at 5:00 on a Friday. I had to send someone to go get the sensor because deliveries stopped at 5:00 to a dealership in the next town because it's the only one that had it. I send AZ differential a copy of the bill and as of the writing of this review it's been 3 weeks since I sent it and I still haven't been reimbursed for half the cost of the sensor that they broke. One top of that, the next day (Saturday) I got a phone call from the customer who was 300 miles away on his way to Texas saying fluid was leaking out of the side that AZ differential repaired. I told my other customer that I had referred to AZ Differential about all this and he told me that they wanted to inspect the job they did for him and when he got it back he noticed the cooling fins on his differential cover were broken. AZ Differential are a bunch of butchers. I would by a new differential from the dealer before I ever take anything to them ever again. read more
