I would give them ten stars if I could. We had Arizona Swamp Cooler come to our home in Sun City to fix our residential swamp cooler after two attempts with a different company that left our problems unresolved. These two young men are pleasant and with a positive attitude, they found and corrected several problems caused or not noticed by several other companies at no extra charge to us. They showed us what was right with our unit and commented on the overall general condition of it. Great small business to work with at a very fair price. I called for an estimate and decided it was too much. Since whoever i talked to has been harassing me with numerous text's. I have asked him to stop to no avail. The reason for the bad review isn't the work or the workmanship. They did what they came to do but, in the end, they attempted to cheat me. I bought my own pad so when I asked the person if he wanted check or cash he told me if I paid cash he would only charge me $100. That was a reasonable charge for what they were doing for me. However, when the guys were finished I was given a bill for $225. That was the charge if they supplied the pad (which they didn't). I told him he said $100, and they did no more than what they said they were doing for that $100. I ended up giving him another $50 but I told him he was cheating me, and karma is a bitch. This will come back to bite him in the ass. I will never recommend these people to anyone, and I won't be using them again. Be careful in using this company because they will lie, and laugh while doing it. I never do reviews but this needs to be said. Get it on tape. Don't let them rip you off. Stick to your guns about the price. I'm mad I let them get away with it but I learned a lesson here. DON"T USE THEM. read more

3/5/2022 today, I am pleased that Arizona Swamp Coolers came out on a Saturday, fixed my aging swamp cooler to the best of their ability, mounted a new float for me and changed the pads! Had them out here in 2020 during the lockdown too, they did a great job and charged me a good price for a Senior on a fixed income this is very important! 5 Stars ! read more

Not the place to call when you're in a pinch, couldn't manage to get an appointment scheduled after multiple calls and text messages over two days. Ended up going with another company that came out right away (despite being located across the city from us) and did multiple repairs for just a bit over $200. During the last call made to AZ Swamp Cooler, we were told by the technician that he was driving around deciding where to go next. Then we were asked questions about our unit which made it seem like the next job taken would be based on the revenue it would generate. Not cool, no pun intended. read more

This is the second year I have had them come out and get my swamp coolers going for the season.. I have had evaporative coolers on my homes in Arizona all my adult life and I did most of the work on them myself until recently (I am a senior and getting on an off the roof is now risky).. I know that you do not want an AC guy working on your swamp cooler, most of them think it is below them, they don't have the parts and its really a whole different item.. I found these guys last year, they know coolers, that is all they do, they do great work, they call back, they understand the social distancing thing, and they have fair and affordable rates... Tony, today replaced my swamp cooler above my patio. Everything works perfect. I would highly recommend him.

I had trouble finding a good evap cooler guy until I called Tony. The a/c company and 2 handyman couldn't help. It doesn't take long to realize Tony knows swamp coolers inside and out. He saved me over $150 on a new motor - at least for this year. One speed of my 2 speed motor didn't work. I thought it didn't work at all. So he could have replaced the motor, but his honesty and integrity won the day. Then he troubleshooted the whole unit, inspecting the pads and making recommendations on how to keep the calcium buildup on my commercial grade pad / medium at bay. The water flow into the unit wasn't what it should be, so we agreed the small 5 plus year old water filter should be removed. That did the trick. I can replace it next year if I notice a difference without it. Even after the job was done beyond my expectation, Tony and his helper cheerfully responded to a couple of questions via text. Now my house is freezing cold. I'm looking forward to comfortable living and an affordable electric bill. Thanks Tony! read more

After 15 years our cooler rusted at bottom. We wanted to buy our own cooler and needed an installer. After searching many AC guys, I found that none of them did just the installation. After an "interview" with Jimmy's dad I immediately recognized that he really knew his stuff. Our cooler was installed over a three day time period (total of four to five hours of actual work), as they removed the old cooler on day 1 ( 1 hour), rebuilt the duct and new damper on day 2 (1 hour), and installed the new cooler with new plumbing and sealing whole unit on day 3 (2 hours). The evap cooler started to function right away the very first time it was turned on. These guys only do evap coolers, and not AC. For evap coolers, there is no better place to go than this father and son team of family business. read more

The original installation company had not installed it properly and the second company that came out and put on a new belt did not do that job correctly, and I was very much overcharged. Our cooler stopped working this morning. We called Tony, at Arizona Swamp Cooler, fully prepared to have him come to our home and repair the cooler. Before scheduling an appointment however, my husband asked for advice. He has had some experience maintaining our coolers over the years and thought perhaps he could do something to fix it so we could avoid an expensive professional visit. Tony did offer some suggestions, one of which seemed to totally fix the cooler. If it does not continue to operate properly, we will then call and schedule and repair visit. We were so impressed with Tony's customer service and help. Most companies will not take the time to talk with you, let alone give you some ideas that might avoid a costly repair. The fact that Tony did do just that was invaluable to us, as we live on a fixed income. There will be times in the future, however, that we will need service and it will indeed be with Arizona Swamp Cooler. We also have children and friends with coolers, not many anymore, but some, and we will certainly recommend Arizona Swamp Cooler to anyone who needs a cooler serviced or repaired.
