I am heavily into Hi Fi equipment and I luckily found Arizona TV Works as a repair business to maintain and fix my equipment. I brought in an Esoteric SACD player that needed help and it was repaired saving me hundreds of dollars from sending it to the west coast repair facility. I needed some custom installation work done in my home. It was a heavy steel turntable wall mounted platform. James, the owner came to my house and did fine work fortifying the wall braces to accommodate such a heavy shelf. The job was done excellently and James really showed his adept carpentry skills. I had 4 speakers installed in my ceiling, an A/V plate put in behind my entertainment stand and wires ran to all 4. James was awesome from the appointment to clean up and setup of my surround sound system. Every step of the way he allowed me to make the decisions on the position of the speakers and kept me in the loop when it came to difficulties on positioning. Even though the studs gave him headaches when it came to mounting the speakers, he made it work and the final product is awesome. Brought my Sony tv to them after a power surge and it quit working. They told me they didn't work on Sony but agreed to look at it anyway. Found out that it wasn't cost-effective to repair it and didn't charge me more than just the initial deposit. We decided to go with an antenna instead of paying for cable. James installed an antenna on our roof that has worked very well which we hooked up to three TV's. He has also installed a number of TV's with sound bars which included moving the electric boxes for they wouldn't be seen. Excellent product, great, hard working, and honest service. James gave us an accurate upfront estimate. Even though the HD antenna installation through our small attic was more difficult than expected, the original estimate was spot on and very reasonable. Through a lot of hard work and technical know how, as well as respecting the wife's desire for aesthetics, we ended up with all available 39 channels and the HD picture is amazing. OTA is uncompressed and therefore clearer than cable/satellite and oh by the way - free! If you are a cable cutter this is totally worth the up front investment. I have used James and AZ Tv Worx on 2 different occasions and his work is excellent. The first time I did the over the air tv antenna and James got it to work perfect. I now get Free TV!! Then we hung a 55" Tv on the wall and his skills are right on. He is a perfectionist like me so everything is level and straight. He also hide all the wires in the wall with new boxes so no cables show at all. Perfect! Next I am going to use him for a surround sound system and put speakers in the ceiling. I have used James Todd's services about 3-4 times for our second residence on Spruce Mt. I cannot say enuf good things - and NO negatives - about him. He does not charge a premium for heading two miles up a mountain road, but does premium Work. He has improved the complicated (and formerly) tangled mess of my stereo system, strengthened a fragile HDMI input of an expensive cable that stretched across the house, put in a ring doorbell system, added components, etc. with true professionalism. He is knowledgeable and quick, as well as eminently pleasant ALL the time. I have never had to call him back to correct anything he has done. I only wish he was close to the Phoenix area!! I took our television to Arizona TV Worx because of the positive reviews I had read online, however, my experience with them was anything but positive--I would never recommend taking your television to Arizona TV Worx for repair. When I first took my television in to be repaired, I was told that there was a 2 week wait just to get an estimate. I was leaving on vacation so I figured it wasn't a big deal. Two weeks came and went and I didn't receive a phone call, so I called them to find out if they had determined the issue and receive an estimate. They told me they would call me the next day, but I never received a call. I called them back the day after that and they gave me an estimate. I gave them the go-ahead and they repaired my television. After getting the television home, we noticed that they had over tightened one of the screws that attached the back of the television to the front and the screw had actually punctured through the front bezel. When I explained what happened they asked me to bring the television in to take a look. When I brought it in, they tried to tell me that the tech that assembled the television said that the screws weren't the original screws and that someone had previously taken the television apart. I explained that that was impossible because I was the only owner of the television and this was the first time I had ever taken it to a repair shop. They agreed to try and find a new bezel to replace the punctured one and if they couldn't they would refund me half of the cost of the repair. They said they would call me Monday, however, Monday and Tuesday came and went and I finally called them on Wednesday. They explained that they couldn't find a replacement bezel and instead offered to refund me half the cost of repair. When I went in to get the refund, they had only refunded me the amount of the repair minus the $40 deposit I had left (which went towards the cost of repair). They said that if I wasn't happy with that, they would be willing to try and fill in the hole that they had put in the front of my television. I took the money and left because I was tired of dealing with such incompetent people. read more

I have a 60 year old Gibson tube type guitar amplifier that was broken. The soonest I could get anyone in Phoenix to look at it was 4 weeks. Arizona Tv Worx took it in the same day I called and had it analyzed the same day with a hard cost to repair. They had it fixed the next day.
