Ultimately they wanted to install a new $25,000 AC unit and would clean the ducts for "free". The second company that came out, name starts with "F", and that's what they wanted to do. We didn't even let the guy finish the inspection to get a quote because he too wanted to upsell us. We then called Gesundheit. Mr. Barker gave a quote over the phone based on the number of vents in the house. Added cleaning the dryer vent for an additional $129. The two guys that came out did a great job cleaning the vents and cleaning up after the job was done. They took care to treat our home with respect as they performed their job. Called Arrowseal to come out and do a vent cleaning. We used them about 2 years and boy did a bunch of crap come out of the vent when they serviced us. Paul showed up on time and after so explaining what was happening he asked if we had roof recently replaced. We did and he thought it was a problem with a screen being inadvertently placed in the dryer vent. He went up and sure enough there was screen blocked with lint. Smart guy! Anyways we had the vent cleaned and will probably add that to our home maintained routine. We previously had them install a solar tube and were very pleased with the results. Jeff arrived on…read moretime, told us he would be cleaning the entire vent from where the vent exits the dryer all the way to the roof. He pulled the stacked washer and dryer out from the wall and cleaned every section of the vent all the way to the roof by adding sections to his cleaning device until it came out on the roof vent. He then completely vacuumed all of the dust up that was behind the dryer, checked the air flow of the dryer by going up on the roof to get a reading of the flow rate. He repeated the entire process one more time until he was satisfied with the air flow reading . We were extremely pleased with the results and my wife has see a marked improvement in the time it now takes to dry a load of clothing. We highly recommend Jeff and will definitely have him back every year to make certain the dryer is running at its peak efficiency.
