The break was very recent...HMMMMM.... (inspector caused?). Now we need a plumber to fix the damaged vent pipe. But Goodsell Concrete has done two jobs for me, both within the time promised. One was a stamped patio/parking pad that still receives high accolades from friends and neighbors. The second is a beautiful retaining wall that fixed a severe erosion problem that I was experiencing. Tony worked with my awkward location, making the projects so much less stressful. I also felt that the quotes for the projects done were within reason, and comparable to other quotes I had received when working with owners and not a paid sales staff. I was very pleased with their service and work, and would definitely contact them again should another project pop up.

On July 18, we went to Paxton and selected Copper Mist for our basement bar. We were given a sample to take home and received a quote totaling $984.13 using the remnant we had selected. At no point during that process were we told that we needed to place a deposit to secure the material or that the piece could be sold to someone else while we were moving forward with our project. Based on that selection, we continued planning our bar and even purchased our sink specifically to coordinate with the Copper Mist. Unfortunately, there were errors and confusion with our project information from the beginning. We returned to Paxton on August 8 and again confirmed what we had selected. We then learned that the material we had been planning our entire project around had been sold. The proposed solution was essentially for us to spend approximately $3,000 to get the material we originally expected to purchase as a remnant for a project quoted at $984.13. I understand that remnants are limited inventory. What I don't understand is why we weren't clearly told what we needed to do to secure the material, particularly when we had received a quote, taken home the sample, continued communicating with Paxton and were making other purchases based on that selection. Mistakes happen. What has made this experience so frustrating is the accumulation of mistakes, the lack of clear communication and, most importantly, the lack of ownership or a meaningful attempt to make the situation right. Three weeks later, we're now essentially starting the countertop selection process over again through no fault of our own. For a purchase like this, customers rely on the professionals they're working with to explain the process and tell them what needs to happen next. That simply did not happen in our experience.

Getting ready to replace a $1200 custom made Corian sink that has looked like crap from…read moreinstallation. First of all they held up my kitchen remodel with their lateness, then they threatened to not produce sink when I pressed them. Seams started appearing in the sink right away. Never called because didn't want to deal with their rudeness and defensiveness after that. Cracks around the drain started to appear next and now they are going across the whole sink. Only a matter of time before this sink totally disintegrates. Found out later from my cabinet maker that they had used them before and would not again. My countertops came from somebody up by Vassar. Thank goodness. Just pick somebody else.
