The dress code was absolutely not enforced, and meant nothing. Despite clear rules against any play happening near food or beverage areas, this was not enforced. The ratio of single men to women was roughly 20 to 1, and each and every one of them had that disturbing, unsettling predatory stare. The owners room names were joiked at by staff as clever, and not to be taken literally, were in poor taste. First impression of staff after that comment is that they're unhappy with management. Shame on the owners and the staff for continuing to keep this third world brothel in business. Have higher standards. Shame on the city of Portland health inspectors for allowing food and liquor to be served in this establishment. We do not recommend the velvet rope, and will never return.

We arrived as early as was recommended and found parking to be easy and affordable in the adjacent lot. There is also street parking. There are restaurants in the vicinity too, so make a night of it! We were in attendance on a fairly warm evening but the AC in the building kept up and kept temperatures comfortable. The bathrooms are downstairs, but the building has ramps and an elevator to accommodate wheelchair and mobility needs. When choosing a seat section online, I wasn't sure what to expect. Fortunately, there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The seats to the side are only a bit to the side. There are maybe 12 rows in the whole place, so even in the back, you can see and hear well. There were snacks and drinks available for purchase, and also a place to fill water bottles if you brought your own. The church pews aren't the most comfortable to sit on, but they are cushioned and manageable. We really enjoyed the experience at the Old Church and would not hesitate to go back or recommend it to anyone.
