I've been here before to watch my friends that were league bowlers play. Now I know why she stopped playing here after one league. I went a couple days ago, February 1st, and the customer service was a nightmare. They have phones right by the lanes to prevent folks from rushing the front counter with problems (thus making it more time efficient with check-ins) but I waited so long I went to the front counter anyway, and I wasn't the only person to have complaints about my lane and the slow response. I'm not sure how long the other person waited, but there were three people at the front counter. The one I spoke to was very rude. At one point we waited over 20 minutes. At least the arcade is fun. This rating is mostly because of bad customer service, as it speaks volumes of how much they don't want me there. read more

Do not go here, horrible costumer service. They publish that they are open at 9 am on Tuesday but in reality they are open only leagues. I brought two special education classrooms here and the special were not able to bowl. I will never come back at the way they treat me and my students. The manager was rude also and just told me that the website has not been updated, but there is nothing they could do. read more

AWESOME PRIVATE PARTY SPACE! We've had my son's birthday party here twice already, and we've loved both times. It is $75 to rent the party space (you can rent it even if you don't do the bowling party package). The room is HUGE, equipped with dj lights, 2 screens/projectors (we used them to play movies), beanbags, huge dance floor, and the last party we had an air hockey table in there too. There's plenty of tables/benches already inside, but you can ask for them to bring additional tables/chairs if need them. There's a host/hostess assigned to your party and they're there pretty much the whole time to help set up/take down, take orders, etc. Both times, our hostesses have been plenty helpful. In addition to the bowling, you also have an option to get the jumper (they have a small one that fits in the room, or a HUGE one with a slide that is set up right outside the party room). The food isn't bad for bowling alley food, lol, and the lanes are great. read more

Only came here because I had purchased a Groupon for 6 people with shoe rental for 2 hours. Made a reservation for 3:30pm on a Friday. Arrived at 3:25pm and the line was out the door. Didn't get checked-in with our shoes until 3:50pm. And they said we could only bowl until 5:30pm due to a league arriving at 6pm. So, didn't get the whole time I paid for. The metal thing that comes down (I'm NOT a bowler lol) kept getting stuck and they kept having to walk down the lane and fix it. We only ended up bowling a game and less than a half of another game. Also, not enough space for everyone to sit and wait their turn?! Wondering if they keep a "junky" lane for Groupon users? Won't return. Bowlero is closer to our house and nicer. read more

I came here with my husband for Rock N Bowl on a Saturday. First thing to catch us off guard was that there are dozens of sheets of paper posted all around with random rules of the establishment. Beside the fact that it was trashy looking, I felt like I was being scolded for something that they expected me to do. Next, they all but pat you down before you can enter the bowling area. We bowled for about 45 minutes with no issues, but then an employee comes to us and says that they sold out and that since there were only two of us, we would have to move to a lane with another couple. At every other bowling alley I've gone to, when they sell out, that just means that they start a wait list until lanes open up. Here they want to pack the building to capacity and not miss out on a single penny. As irritating as it was, we obliged and moved to the other lane. About 20-25 minutes went by as we waited to be added to the new lane when my husband finally went to ask what was going on. They told him, "Oh, we decided not to move you." Ok, well thanks for letting us know! The rest of the night went along without incident, but I was really turned off to this place. If you want to be treated like a criminal and bowl with strangers then this may be the place for you. read more

Can't complain! Great place to go for cheap bowling and good night out. I came here on a sunday night and believe I paid $8 for 2 hours of all you can bowl with the shoe rental. Such a steal! I have been here about 8 times now and I love the place. It is a normal bowling alley and been in moval for a while but still great. The bowling balls are the best, but for the price I can't really complain. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place to anybody looking to go bowling. read more

As far as bowling centers go, I think this is the best one in Riverside! I have been bowling league here for the last couple of seasons and think the center is just fine. it's a little old and shows a little but the owner is making some improvements like installing new carpet. The snack bar has good food but it's a little pricey and they only take cash so make sure you hit the ATM before you come. (This is kind of a pain). The scoring system is a little old and hard to figure out and in depserate need of a overhaul. Other than that, the bar is fully stocked and we always have a great time there! read more

I usually don't leave reviews unless I lean hard one way or another. The only good thing about this place is that it has 40 lanes.... Came here on a Friday night for Cosmic Bowling... FAIL... When you think of "Cosmic Bowling I'm thinking disco lights music tv screens you know that type of atmosphere... There are 4 random lights supposed to cover 40 lanes... NOPE Music was low barley could here it. No big screen music video nothing. Food was FROZEN items you can get across the street at Walmart or Stater Bros. Then there's the drinks. Although the bartender was nice, everything is measured out. Pretry crappy... Very disappointed that's all I can say. First and last time I'm coming here. read more

I have been going to Arlington lanes for league bowling for many years now. The staff has always great. Summer bowling has always been on the warm side due to the fact of poor air conditioning. However this summer has been ridiculous in terms of heat inside the alley. The owner is so cheap he refuses to turn on the ac for any length of time. It is difficult to bowl due to the sweat running off your brow. Your hand consistently sticks in the ball and it is generally miserable even late into the evening when the sun goes down. I hope this alley fails under this lame owner and someone else buys it. read more

Do businesses understand the importance of customer experience anymore? On the good side, it's a big place, clean, and cheaper than the other bowling option in Riverside. I've been here many, MANY times since it opened in the '80s, and my experiences have been okay. My new gripe though is this: my kids and I used the small arcade area they have. I put two tokens in the pinball machine, and it didn't register the second one. This is a common problem with arcade machines these days, and I went to the front desk to get my token back. I was given the token, but with the warning, "we don't give refunds, so this will be the only one you get." What? You don't give "refunds"? For your broken stuff not working? I said that was a bad policy, and the person said "you can talk to the manager." I didn't even want to bother with that. Business owners really need to understand that even those small things, the policies you put in place to "reduce" your costs (which this doesn't, you still have the dollar I put in the token machine), worsen the experience of your customers. Next time I consider coming here, I'll remember that. That's how this works now, in 2017. We have plenty of other entertainment options. read more

We recently had a party here for my son's 11th birthday. From the moment we walked in the staff was very attentive and friendly, especially Sarah. She made sure we were taken care of. Our food orders came right away. Our package came with an hour 1/2 of bowling, bowling shoes for each guest, 2 slices of pizza, and 1 soda per person. Overall I think this is a great place to have a kid's party. It was affordable and lots of fun. I highly recommend this place! read more

This place is old,dirty and overcrowded. We arrived and paid for everyone in our group and specifically asked for two lanes next to each other. We were told our lanes were number 15&16. At 10 when the bowling starting we set up our names on the board and before we could start; a large group of about 10 people came over and said they were supposed to play on one of our lanes. We had kids with us and specifically asked for two lanes so that ground ups could play on one and kids on the other but apparently here it doesn't matter what you asked for or paid for or even if you got here first. This place just wants all the money they can get and decided to shove people into a lane where they didn't fit, we had 6 people in our group and the other people had atleast 10. So now almost 20 people are trying to bow next to each other and the ball machine is super crowded and it's a total mess. On top of that, the bathrooms are disgusting. Not to mention there is a $10 minimum at the snack bar if you need to use a card but there is no sign posted anywhere stating this. Overall, this place is really just an old ghetto bowling alley. Overpriced and our experience here was just not good, we definitely won't be back and I wouldn't recommend it . This place needs some serious work. read more

Eight of us came to bowl here today and one of the lanes kept screwing up several times. It was ridiculous and the wait was long to get things fixed. Spoke to Ben at the counter and he said thats just how it is and he couldn't comp or even give us any free games. We bought 24 games in total and they can't even apologize. I was just there saturday feb 16 at night. After 6pm. Service there wow ...front desk people are pretty nice and fast. Lanes were smooth. It was a very busy night tho. Drinks at the bar were great, prices are awesome compared to other bowling alleys. Snack bar food was good...I thought my food was going to take awhile but no! The cook is really fast but i cant say the same about the cashier Ivan ...if i remember correctly seeing his name tag. He was sooo slow and for some reason nervous and very shakey. My boyfriend disliked him, he tried to make jokes and be sarcastic. Arlington Lanes needs a new cashier or change cashiers if an employee can not handle a busy shift. read more

Worst experience ever at this place! The guy at the front was so rude! Yes there was a lot of us and it was pretty late but we were trying to be as courteous because there were so many of us but he looked so annoyed and acted so rude towards us, it just wasn't cool. Don't go here they are lazy! So, my 9 year old special needs cousin was looking forward to going bowling with his class today at Arlington Lanes, but the alley refused to let them play on the 10 lanes that were empty because they had a league that was going to be playing 2 HOURS LATER! They then told the class to play pool instead...yeah 'cause that's the same thing! This is just outrageous and is pure laziness! I am appalled and just down right furious that this happened! I come here quite often with my family and the concessions stand is normally closed. I again brought my 3 year old, and it was still 100 degrees outside, so I decided to bring some juice in this time. Heavy blonde lady at the front tells me to take it outside because they do not allow outside food. I say "The only reason I brought it in is because your concessions stand is always closed." Her response was "I do need to ask you to take that outside." By this point, she was already rolling her eyes. I asked, "So is your concessions open?" Sure enough she says "No it is not." Regardless of the fact that they are not offering refreshments, and it is 100 degrees outside, outside drinks are still prohibited. That's just ridiculous. And the rude staff only adds to the terrible service. She could not have handled that situation any worse. Needless to say, my family and I are currently on our way to AMF. I have attendant this location many times and all I can say is that the visit gets worst every time. They have no AC. So in when it gets hot you sweat like a pig and the ball sticks to the thumb which can cause an injury. The menu system is second to nothing. You can't even see stats during a live game. The machine drops pins all at to often. The snack bar is cash only but the take cards at entrance. I don't understand that. AVOID TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS like the plague. They don't leave lanes open for walk-ins. The food is good tho, really like the pizza. Pro shop owner is great too. read more

Came & Left. Bowling League on a Saturday? Half the lanes where taken. 2 hour wait time to bowl, that's ok. Small arcade. Costumer service was good so that's why they get some stars. The place is run down other than the floors! Cash only. In the Arcade some games work with ONLY TOKENS and some with ONLY QUARTERS. Prices are pretty good no complaints there. Favorite place to go bowling and have a few beers. Prices are now too high per hour per lane. Rock n bowl is a good idea for the people who can stay up that late. Love the chicken tenders but the pizza taste as if it were 88 cents from a grocery store. Loosing business by opening the bar too late there are people who like an earlier drink. Good environment with ok music but biggest downside is them closing all lanes for tournaments chasing away bowlers to other facilities. read more

We've been at Arlington Lanes now for half an hour on a Monday and only just now figured out the reason my daughters score wasn't getting recorded was her ball was too light. We came here on st patty's day with a party of 7 for cosmic bowling. When we arrived there was already a line out the door. The employees did a great job getting everyone situated in a timely manner. They were very friendly and there to help whenever we had a problem such as the pins getting stuck and the game freezing on us multiple times. I thought they had a great deal 15$ with shoe rental for 3 hours per person. They had great music playing and even have an app that lets you select what to play. We of course got a lot of drinks that were also reasonably priced. ( the Vegas bomb was amazing ) the snack bar was a little over priced, but I expected that. Their pizza was really good though. All and all we all had a really good time safe time celebrating saint Patrick's day there and now I want to make it a regular thing to do. I would recommend this bowling ally to anyone, due to the kind and helpful staff. Thank you Arlington lanes for helping us have a safe saint Patrick's day. Oil pattern terrible league many bowlers average not that good last year is the best not this year

I was very disappointed! I heard that the prices were much better than the alley on Indiana, so we decided to try it. It was a very hot and humid day and we wanted to get out of the house but also stay out of the heat. The place is very clean and the people at the desk are very courteous, but they didn't have the air conditioning working. You don't really notice when you first walk in, but after you pay and get down to the lanes, it's ridiculous! I found a thermometer on the wall and it was 87 deg! Additionally, the lane kept shutting down and we would have to call to get it restarted. If they aren't going to have a cool venue, they should announce it at the door and/or give a discount! There are no refunds! read more

I have such a great time every time I've come here to bowl. It's my preferred spot in Riverside. I regularly come here with my boyfriend and we enjoy the day of the week specials, Monday nights, only $2 a game. We're planning on taking advantage of the Wednesday night specials as well. The place is always clean and filled with laughter. They have a spacious family environment, good food, a quaint bar and of course, a nicely stocked arcade. I am sure we'll be patrons for years to come. We're even buying bowling shoes! read more
