I recently purchased a living social deal for Aroma-Chic cleaning. I called to schedule my appointment and agreed to pay the additional 20.00 pet fee (I have 4 so I totally understand). Our appointment was for today and we had a communication issue. I spoke with a representive on Friday to confirm my appointment and let her know that the dogs would be in the back for her to just come on in. I got to my desk just know to find an e-mail explaining that there needed to be a person to let in the cleaning company in my residence. The representitive claimed they called twice and left a voicemail, I recieved no call or a voicemail. I use my cell phone for work and I know I had service. The problem arouse when I was informed I needed to pay an additional 35.00 for a no entry fee. I was trying to get clarification on the policy when the Aroma-Chic representative began cutting me off mid sentence and getting very hostile with each request I made. I understand that a fee was necessary but the customer service was horrible! This representative was rude and continually showed aggression with her tone. (75 deal plus 55 in fees = do deal) When I attempted to redirect the conversation it went like this: Me: Moving forward how can we resolve this and get my house cleaned AC: Pay the 35+20 pet fee and we can be out in a week Me: Can you please work with me, I want to find a company I can routinely use and your understanding would really go far. Working from home all day seems like a recipe for a super clean and organized house. Weirdly, its kind of the opposite. Maybe because I'm home longer and can make more of a mess but sometimes I look around and think "this is a job for the professionals!" So originally AC was scheduled for Thursday morning. Two hours after scheduled arrival, I called the main line. The lady who answered was surprised they hadn't shown up, called them, called me back and let me know they'd been in a car accident with one of the cleaners actually going to the emergency room. I naturally expressed concern, told her that we'd just reschedule later but she insisted and so we rescheduled. Saturday morning a cleaner from AC shows up. She's super friendly, we chat, I leave and leave money for tip and "pet fee." When I come back 2 hours later she's gone and my house feels cleaner but isn't clean. I keep noticing odd things. Like she left cups on my counter, my toilet seat wasn't clean, my bathtub seemed wiped down but not actually scrubbed and anything that was on the floor hadn't been moved or cleaned around. There was no straightening as far as I can tell, the space behind my tiny entertainment center is full of cobwebs still and though she took the time to vacuum inside my closet, all my shoes were just pushed to the back. Basically the cleaning that occurred here would have taken ME two hours. What's odd is that in talking to the AC cleaner, I learned that those other cleaners hadn't actually been in a car wreck. They'd just quit. Man, I dont like lying about serious stuff like car wrecks. Call me superstitious but I dont put that stuff out into the universe. It left me with a weird feeling to know that the lady on the phone lied for no reason. When I hire a service, it's because they're the professionals. They know how to get stuff cleaner than I can. But this was perfunctory at best. The low rating is deserved. And just yesterday I was bragging that I rarely give 1 and 2 star reviews. Sigh. read more

I had the same experience as MIXSIG C. I bought an Urban Dealight for Aroma Chic. Here is a break down of Pros and Cons: Pros: Friendly Somewhat Prompt Good with Dogs Cons: They do not move anything or get corners or areas their vacuum cannot easily reach. They do not sweep or mop under dining room tables/ chairs, they do not vaccum or clean under door mats. They do not dust or clean furniture (did not touch the top of my bed side stands, nor my dining room chairs) The floors are swept, but not great and the mopping leaves behind dirt marks and footprints Didn't clean off countertops well (I found food and dirt on 50% my countertops) Left food in sink- so things are wiped down, but not cleaned If you are looking for a very "wipe down what you see" kind of house pick up- then this is your company. If you are actually looking for your home to be CLEANED, I think you should look elsewhere. read more

I did finally after THREE months receive the refund for my check that I paid them for what they call cleaning. I did receive emails from them telling me over and over again about how they have sent me the check, yet it took them three months to get it to me. I would never use them and most of the post of the people saying that they enjoy their "herbal" "zen" cleaning work for them. Plain and simple save your money and your time. read more

I thought they did a pretty good job. I've had such bad experiences with other services in the past-- breaking things (they always broken something and they never tell you, be it soap dishes, dishes, sink faucets...), and then your house always smells like harsh chemicals. I admit that I use the super powered stuff in the grocery store but it was so nice to come home to a house that wasn't filled with fumes! Even though I used a Living Social deal, and it wasn't a deep clean, I was impressed. I would definitely call them next time I need my house cleaned. What's good: - reliable - on time - friendly - good with dogs What's not so good: - There's an old Italian saying about they way they clean - 'they just clean where the mother-in-law walks.' Nothing is moved. The broom/vacuum/mop never hits an area that is not directly exposed. - Wood floors do not look cleaned. - Showers and tubs are wiped down - not cleaned. Maybe. They don't always hit the tub. Usually it looks like they just wipe down the glass and faucets. - Corners and behind doors not touched. - Counters mostly cleaned. When I look closely I usually still find dirty areas. - Look around the house and you'll see plenty of leftover dusty areas. - Usually end up with a crew of 1 person. I find I can do an equally good cleaning on my home in two hours. I still have to do a thorough cleaning of my house on a regular basis - especially the showers and tubs. If $120+tip is worth two hours of your free time then this is worth it. For me it is more about value for the money. It really isn't there. These ladies are not getting the $60/hour for their time. Someone is doing really well for poor management at the expense of the cleaning ladies and me. I'm moving on to another service. read more

I've been very pleased with Aroma-Chic- have been using them about once/month for several months. The do their scheduling mostly via email but I haven't had a problem with it. I like the fact that they do not require locking you into a contract and they use natural products. I wish I could give them negative stars!!! I booked an appointment for a move out cleaning the beginning of the week for today. I waited 35 minutes and no one showed up!!! I called multiple times and no one would answer. Now, I am screwed seeing my key is due tomorrow. Was panicked following a death in the family and the imminent arrival of family from across the country. In desperation, and on the recommendation of a co-worker, I contacted AromaChic and was immediately impressed by their responsiveness. The next morning, there was a crew in my home thoroughly cleaning and helping to make everything ready. Since then, I've had them back twice and each time I've been pleased. While I paid for the basic clean each time, I did find that a little communication goes a long way. They've been more than willing to redirect their attention to areas where I had specific concerns. We've been using Aroma-Chic once a month for about a year. They have done a really great job for us. I have had mixed luck with other cleaning services and aroma-chic addresses the little things that drive me nuts with other services (ex: they move things to dust rather than just dusting around them. I didn't get a living social deal or any other coupon I chose this company because of recomendations from my friends. A year and a half later I continue to be thrilled every time I come home to a clean house. They do an excellent job of dusting-- I'm not sure why people feel things are not moved because I come home to rearranged shelves all the time. No big deal and I'm glad they move things to dust! I also love the extras you get if you do regularly scheduled cleaning-- I've had blinds dusted, baseboards wiped down, cabinets cleaned. The longer I've used them the better things have gotten-- for instance if I forget to leave sheets out they will go track them down in the linen closet, they hand scrub pots I might leave in the sink, and they have contacted me personally when our bathtub caulk was basically gone and asked how I would like to handle the cleaning. I love how clean my house always smells. I've never had trouble getting a hold of any customer service people I just email and they reply quickly. I know when I call I'm put through to the owner's cell phone and she gets back to me quickly. I have been and will remain a loyal customer and recomend the company to anyone who asks. read more

I bought a deal and I can say I'm pretty satisfied. The ladies were friendly and cleaned very well. The customer service was also great. The only thing I didn't like is that they don't clean furniture (I have two cats so lots of hair gets on my chairs and couches). They did inform me of that before, but I think that they should have an option for people that authorize them to do it. Also, if there's anything heavy (like a planter or a side table) they won't move it to vacuum or mop under or around it. But overall they did a great job. I bought a Living Social Deal and upgraded for baseboard, blind cleaning, etc.. Liliana and Mary Jane were very friendly and professional. They did show up on time and were ready to get ot work. Tubs and bathrooms look great. They did move as much as possible to clean (thankful they pulled out crib to thoroughly clean underneath. Dusted pictures frames, light fixtures, ac vents - great! I really liked the products they used - smells clean and fresh. They were careful to use vinegar/h2o for mopping laminate flooring. Mirrors clean and streak-free. I love walking into a clean home after a hard week at work. The cleaning crew showed up as scheduled and did a great job. I was especially impressed with the tile cleaning in both bathrooms, but they did a wonderful job throughout the house. The only thing that lacked a little was the dusting. The cleaning quality was good (not great), but the scheduling/ office staff is a night mare...allow me to explain. (By the way these guys DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE...they let you leave a message and call you back when they feel like it). I bought a living social coupon for this and called to schedule. They were understandably backed up due to the release of the coupon, and the first availability was in 6 weeks. Not a big deal and I schedule it. I get an email confirming the appointment telling me in BIG BOLD LETTERS I only need to email back to cancel. 4 days before the appointment I get an email saying my appointment is canceled because I did not call back to confirm...WTF? Not professional. The email also says they will call me the next day to reschedule. They didnt. So I call them and email them the next day, no response. Same thing for the next three days. No response. Monday midday I get an email saying they want to come tomorrow at 8am... of course you do. I reluctantly schedule because I have no idea when else Im going to catch up with them. I get a call at 7:50am saying they are around the corner and please be ready for them. 8:35 rolls around and no cleaners. I call the office and they tell me, I am wrong, the cleaners are there right now. Ummmm...no... they're not. 10 minutes later the crew shows up and says sorry..traffic blah blah. The scheduler said they are supposed to clean for 1.5 - 2 hours. They showed at 8:45 and left at 10:05. They were obviously late for their next appointment as well because they were flying out the door and I literally had to get the crew leader out of the car to ask to clean something they missed. All in all the cleaning wasnt that bad, but there were a LOT of missed obvious messes. Pile of dirt on the kitchen floor in the corner, didnt clean the appliance faces like they specifically said they would. If the cleaning was top notch I would put up with the "dont give a damn about you" office staff. If the office staff was super friendly and efficient, I would put up with the mediocre cleaning, but not both. read more

Poor customer service & bad attitude. The cleaning team was grumpy & rude. Whenever I asked them a question they barely looked at me, it seemed as if they didn't want to speak to me at all. Also, they told me on the phone that they would put dishes in the dishwasher. Well, they left them in the sink. They also left shoes on top of my suede stools! They said they wouldn't touch my daughter's toys, yet they threw away her baby doll's -powder- "food"!!! They didn't vacuum the stairs (other cleaning companies do). Several pieces of furniture were dusty after they left. They didn't reline any of the wastebaskets. I had to go through the entire house and do it myself. The rest of the cleaning was just average, I've had much better & more thorough. Overall, very bad experience. Very expensive too. They will not be getting another dime from me. read more

The phone was answered (I didn't have to leave a message and get a call back), and I was immediately emailed a confirmation and outline of services. The ladies came when scheduled and worked hard the entire time they were here. They were friendly and upbeat and did a very nice job cleaning. I bid more to help the charity than to get the cleanings, but I do have a crazy busy schedule and cleaning my condo is just one more thing, so even though I could just clean my own place, and call the vouchers, a donation, I decided to use them. I wanted to be home the first day that a cleaner came, and even though technically they were not going to be working today (my last day that I am free before my crazy schedule kicked back in after the holidays), they called around and found a cleaner, Liliana, who was willing to clean my place today. She was personable and professional and my bathtub--my personal least favorite thing to clean--looks great, as does the rest of my place. The amount she got done in the time allotted was impressive. I have nothing but great things to say about Aroma Chic. The scheduling has never been an issue. When I've contacted them (usually by email) they're quick to respond, within 2 - 3 hours, and always accomodating. I had a small complaint the first time they came out and they were very responsive assigning the same crew each time so as to ensure the problem was not repeated. And with 3 kids, myself and my daughter with allergies, I was especially sensitive to the products they used. My house is clean without all of the chemicals left behind. I was so blessed to meet the owner of this cleaning company and after a bad experience with a different cleaning company, I decided to call Aroma-Chic and try them out. So glad I did! My cleaning lady was kind, thorough and a delight to have in my home and worked around my husband who works from home. This company stays true to their desire to use only clean, natural, non-toxic products and that is very important to me as I have auto-immunes issues that cause me to be sensitive to many products. They are willing to work with my steam mop, etc. I had zero issues (no headaches,etc) upon walking into my pristine home. We bought the living social because we are looking for a good professional cleaning company and this was a good way to try them out. They only do 2500 sq feet for the voucher so we told them to just do the master bedroom and master bath plus another 1/2 bath. That with the family room, living room, dining room is less than 2500 sq ft. They said they would send 3 people. Two people showed up on time they were both polite although only one spoke English. They did a good job of sweeping but that's the end of the good. Didn't vacuum the master bedroom until I ask. Didn't dust most of the rooms. Didn't do even a passable job of CLEANING the floors. They damp mopped them. After 1.5 hours they said they had to leave as their boss had them scheduled for another job and they were late. There was dirt they swept up still in the hallway and they hadn't even finished cleaning the master bedroom and bath. They only cleaned the kitchen and some of the family room. I had to call and talk to a lady who told me since the dining room has a desk in it, it is an office and they don't clean it. And since the living room has a desk in it, it is an office and they don't clean it. I told her the floor space is not over 2500 and it is easier to clean a room with only a desk in it, They finally stayed long enough to pick up their stuff and finish running a mop over the floors. They didn't clean the additional rooms and one toilet still has stains in it. Charged $15 extra to sanitize their equipment as we have dogs. read more

OK so I had a localiter coupon for this for half off of a cleaning. (Still expensive.) The cleaning itself was pretty decent No deep cleaning, but all visible surfaces were wiped down. Nothing was lifted to be cleaned under though, not the bath mat, not the living room rug, not the cutting board. They said that changing of bed sheets was complementary but then after they didn't change my son's they said it was only the master bedroom. So my real complaint though is about the customer service. (Or lack thereof.) After the cleaning I got an email saying that because I have a pet I need to pay another 10 dollars and there was an address for me to remit payment. (No thank you for allowing us to sever you, we appreciate your business or anything of the like!) So the issue? I don't have a pet! When I contacted them about this and let them know that it would be better to ask if I have a pet (apparently they saw pet hair) rather than just tell me to remit payment, I was not offered an apology just ok well you don't have to pay then and then a some rambling about quality control. I was introduced to this company through LivingSocial.com. I bought a coupon for a basic cleaning for a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home. I have had my home cleaned by various companies before, and never have I been as disappointed as I was with this company. They didn't even clean the master bathroom. The sinks and shower had very clearly not been touched. They also did not bother to vacuum the master bedroom closet and the dining room table was untouched as well. I sent a very polite detailed email letting them know I was disappointed and attached pictures. I do not feel I was being picky. The things that were missed were incredibly basic. I got a return email to say they'd come back out to just clean my master bathroom and to let me know the closet wasn't included. There never once was an apology. I am not going to have them come back into my home. I am happy I didn't pay full price, but I'm still upset that I even paid half price. What a waste of my money! read more

I got a Living Social deal for Aroma Chic and was really excited about having someone clean the house since we never spring for professional cleaning. We also have a 1 year old, so I was even more excited about the eco-friendly part. I scheduled the appointment with Grace who was so nice throughout because I had to reschedule a couple of times. I wanted to make sure someone was there to meet the crew and be there when they left just in case. So glad I planned to do that b/c here's what went down: My husband was home at 9am when they arrived. He walked the 3 ladies through the house and told them what we wanted them to do and said he'd be back in a couple of hours. He ended up returning home 45 minutes later and they were gone. GONE. He said they didn't wipe down the base boards and they barely cleaned the floors and it didn't look good. I called AC and talked to Grace (btw, you have to call them early in the morning to speak to someone. No later than 9-9:30am from my experience) and she seemed shocked. She said they should be there for at least an hour and a half. She called them while I was holding and I could hear the convo. She was definitely upset by their actions and made them come back to the house. My husband said they came back, weren't nice and he could swear they were talking sh*t about him in Spanish while they were laughing. They didn't move the coffee table to vacuum the rug, so he had to go back and vacuum over what they did. And I thought they were supposed to spray aroma crap on the bed or in the house or somewhere and they didn't. He also said the hardwood cleaner was vinegar and water and I thought they used this Shaklee stuff. Anyways, really disappointing and so glad I didn't pay full price for that. I would have given them 1 star, but Grace was really nice so they get 2 because of her. read more
