Finally and nice coffee shop in crystal Lake. The service was excellent and they were very nice. Ordered coffee and some food. They delivered the food and it was the best. Everything looks great on the menu. A must stop.

I wish this was right next door - the coffee is very good and the layout is welcoming and open. I love that I could sit and chat with a friend without shouting, but would also have enjoyed sitting and working with music in the background. The millennium toast was good, though a little crispy. But a friend also got a flatbread that was giant and that they loved. I can't wait to come back and read here on another weekend - and cross my fingers they'll expand some day to my neck of the woods.

I stopped in to grab something healthy to eat before getting on the train in Crystal Lake hoping to find a smoothie. Instead I found a wonderful menu and ordered the Spinach Salad with Strawberries. I added chicken for $5 more and I enjoyed every bite! Halved pecans, red notions, fresh greens and a tasty white balsamic vinaigrette. I could have used a little more cheese, I could only find a couple crumbles. If I was there I am sure I could have asked for more. The salad was in $13 which is a good price for what I got. I might recommend offering a larger salad for a little bit more but this is a nice size if you are not super hungry. There was a great vibe, it was a little noisy so not where I would go if are looking for a quiet place to read, but perfect to meet a friend for coffee or lunch, or a glass of wine and a bite. Service was friendly. It took about 15 minutes for the salad which is what they estimated, and they were very busy. So happy to see an option with some healthy choices. There were also some seasonal food items. Looking forward to trying some other things on the menu!

Aroma is the best place in Crystal Lake for coffee and breakfast. It's kind of a rather small place but cozy. Some comfortable chairs, couches along with a few tables. Has a pretty healthy menu. There's lots of things good for vegetarians and healthy options. Came in with the girl after breakfast. It was a good time for trying stuff from all over the menu. The main thing is coffee though. It's about $5 for a drink. There were a few seasonal specials going on. Good stuff to choose from. I had the Summer Tea. This was made with coconut milk, matcha, and vanilla. Also we shared the Pistachio Hummus And Chips. It's $7 for a pretty big portion. Totally good stuff. Good healthy choices. It's most popular at breakfast but has a few things at lunch. There's plenty to get for vegans and vegetarians.

A great off menu salad the gifted staff made just for me!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant as I have heard good things about it. And finally, I was able to. First, the ambiance is wonderful - a large space with tables not too close together which provides the room for private discussions and studying if you choose. Decor is my style - eclectic - brick, metal, vintage pieces. Choose your table and then order from the counter. They have sandwiches, paninis, flatbread, appetizers, beer, wine and choice cocktails. They bring your order to the table. It is a coffee shop, so there is a selection of coffee and tea. The fig prosciutto flatbread was wonderful. Crust was very thin and crisp. Love that the shop offers side, such as uglies chips, from small independents. It was a Friday night - there was a entertainment, a trio 70s and country cover band. Loved them! I sang along to ever song and we stayed to listen until they completed their sets. Definitely a comfortable place with good food and drink. Will be back!

Live music on Tuesday at 4pm. This is a refreshing Bees Knees Latte that gave me just enough pep to get through a meeting. Come try it!

Love Aroma Coffee and Wine! I like to come here with my toddler occasionally, they have plenty of space so I feel like she isn't imposing on the other patrons. It's also a great location within walking distance of downtown. I've also been able to enjoy their nightlife! I've been to a yoga and wine event, a mommy meet up and next month we are going to meet up for bookclub and enjoy some wine!

Look for the black awning that reads Aroma. Easy to find parking as the location is across the street from the train station. Upon entering you see the spacious dining area that's sparsely decorated, open and clean. Looks like the inside of an old warehouse with all the exposed brick walls. Dawn (owner) and Madelyn are so nice and attentive to their customers. Very approachable and down to earth people. Come for coffee during the day and wine in the evening. Both drinks are from the Oregon region. I ordered their house latte (I forget what it's called on the menu). Had them make it with half the syrup to reduce the sugars. Was very delicious. Their bakery goods are from Konrad's Bakery in Lake in the Hills. Keeping the local businesses happy. Konrad's baked goods are so delicious and pairs very well with Aroma's coffees.

First time, staff was super nice not many people in the coffee shop but cozy feel. Took a second to get my coffee but was good so worth the small wait on a Saturday. Beautiful fall morning sitting outside the cafe

Cortado was perfect. Lemon cake too sweet, too grainy. Clean, well staffed cafe across from the Carey train station.

I'll try to be short, but want to give a true account of the events. Yesterday I came from the city via Metra late afternoon with another friend to visit a dear friend that moved to Cary a few years ago. Cary is far & we rarely see one another. Needless to say, we were super excited to for this mini-reunion & for our friend to show us a slice of Cary. It was not the best planning being St Paddy's weekend but so be it. We specifically looked for a place we could easily talk & catch up. We started w/ one chocolate martini at Cucina Rustica and chatted OVER an HOUR. Little did we know, we should have stayed there. Next stop, Cary RACIST Ale House. The back area lounge was nearly empty & we were assured it was open (not booked for any events). The waitress, at the start aggressively asked a bunch of questions. I first thought her line of questioning was bizarre so I ignored her while trying to figure out what to order. She asked how we got there, who was driving & specifically said she didn't feel comfortable in serving me. WTF?!?!? My friend politely answered her questions and when she left, we all agreed the waitress's behavior was odd & laughed it off. We refused to have her ruin our evening. To our SHOCK the waitress would NOT serve me?! Only me! Was I disruptive? NO! Was I being violent or doing something illegal? NO! Did I come in stumbling? NO! Was I slumped over passed out? NO! This was crazy! Check your security cameras if you don't believe! Was this a bad twilight zone episode? Was someone going to tell us this was all a joke? I was speechless. We asked her why. She said it was a management decision. What?! Interesting since no one came to talk to us aside from her. We asked her to explain, to get some understanding. You will NOT believe what she said....she said it was my eyes. I looked at my two white friends & asked if something was wrong with my eyes? No, nothing is wrong. WOW, she basically said my Asian eyes were an issue. Falsely claiming I was drunk and couldn't be served because she didn't like Asian-looking eyes?!?! I was stone cold sober ***hole! We were all completely sober & flabbergasted! Completely disgusted, we left. I thought about brushing this aside but I wouldn't want anyone else to be treated that way. I will not allow them to humiliate me. This was supposed to be a happy occasion, and it was spoiled by a bigoted, small-minded person. I don't know how these people can live with themselves.
