We were not having any luck finding any of our regular places open today. While driving through Dover, we passed The Nook and realized that we walk by it many times at night and this was the first time during the day we were in the area, and with the sign All day breakfast and Burgers, we found the place. Just on the corner, you can people-watch during your meal. The space is currently decorated for the holidays (yes, it is January), but we loved it. The menu is fantastic with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. If you cannot find something to order, there is something wrong with you. They also offer a full bar, so Mamosa are a perfect brunch option. The staff is friendly and made our visit. Of course, you walk in to a large display case of muffins, cinnamon rolls and other bakery treats. But today, I wanted pancakes! Eggs, baked beans and pancakes! The beans were incredible. Loved them and only hope they were homemade, but if they were canned, they were pretty yummy. My spouse had a burger with fries, and the fries were perfect. Crunchy on the outside and not mushy on the inside! What a find! Sorry it took so long, but we will be back again soon. There is street and paid lot parking nearby. You can use Flowbird app to pay and track your parking in Dover. See you soon.

The place has ample table seating, booths, and seating at the full service bar. There is also patio sidewalk seating in front of the restaurant. The place still resembles its predecessor with the same colors paint scheme. The bar offers a few draft beers, wine, mixed drinks, and cocktails. The TVs (not on) are still over the bar and there is a digital jukebox too. The limited dinner menu in July 2025 offers alfredo pasta primavera, roast chicken, baby back ribs, blackened salmon and prime rib and desserts (cheesecake & chocolate cake). While the weekend breakfast buffet is active, the late night breakfast buffet was on pause until the UNH school year resumes. The pricing is moderate. I stopped by the Blue Flame for dinner recently. The place was not busy on a Wednesday evening during the summer. I was seated at a table near the front window and requested an ice water. For dinner, I ordered the Blackened Salmon ($24.99 plus tax) served with garlic/basil mashed potatoes, green bean almondine, hot rolls, and a side salad. The side garden salad came out first with dressing on the side, served in a small bowl with a mixed leafy greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots. The Blackened Salmon entree and hot dinner rolls came out next. The blackened salmon filet was a good size, served hot, tender & texture flaky, slightly spicy. The garlic/basil mashed potatoes were hot, soft and chunky. The fresh green beans with almond slivers and butter were a bit lukewarm though. The 2 dinner rolls were soft and chewy. After I finished and cleaned my plate, I was presented with the check which was $27.11 (cash)/$28.06 (card) with tax and before tip. Overall, a good filling dinner on a slow evening. I will have to come back for the late night breakfast buffet and hopefully their dinner menu would have more choices.

Keep in mind that this review is one week after opening…read more A traditional breakfast restaurant. Everything is pretty straightforward with a nice menu. We stopped in for a Sunday breakfast. While my wife and I are self proclaimed "foodies" and like a bit of flair where we normally dine, I'll give this a review based on what it is and what to expect based on what we enjoyed or saw at other tables. The coffee was enjoyable with a nice flavor and was definitely fresh. At this time they offer half and half and whole milk for cream options. Some of the staff are newer with some seasoned staff as well from other establishments. Everyone was pleasant but they are working out the kinks still. The interior decor is simple and straightforward. Prices we found to be reasonable. Portions were pretty much average, not too little or too much. We did see some very impressive and large pancakes being served to other tables. We ordered a side of corned beef hash, traditional eggs Benedict and a sausage Benedict. They make their own sausages and while it's very obvious they are fresh made I personally felt the sausage was under spiced. They serve their Benedict's with grilled English muffins (that's my personal favorite way to eat it). They use Yukon potatoes for their home fries. In my opinion Yukons lack flavor so they need spice of some sort with onions and peppers but they serve these rustically cut, grilled plain. Yukon potatoes are tricky, they usually are mushy or undercooked (we experienced both). Both our poached eggs were perfectly cooked, the hollandaise was very flavorful and smooth. For our overall experience we gave it a four star review based on a traditional style breakfast diner that is new.
