My Earlier Review: Co-owners, Ali & Cindy opened up this location shortly after the pandemic. The rooms are spacious and always have soothing music in the background to help calm your spirit. I find the staff to be very professional and client oriented. Cindy and Ali are great massage therapists. If I walk in tired and stressed, I always walk out feeling relaxed and refreshed. Both times I left feeling refreshed and relaxed! The interior of the spa is very warm and welcoming. They have a shower in the bathroom, though I didn't use it due to COVID, and individual rooms for each client. They also offer services beyond massage, such as facials, waxing, and hair styling. Their massage pricing is some of the best in the area: $50 for 30 minutes, $60 for 45, and $70 for 60 minutes. I've found them more affordable than other spas in Rochester, with excellent quality. I waited 20 mins in the chair. Was not offered anything to drink. Another lady came in and the tech said let me get you a glass of wine. No one even acknowledged that the tech was running late. Upon entering the pedicure/nail area I noticed it was a very loud environment. For $60 for a pedicure I expected more. Asena was friendly but you can tell either she was rushed or new. I had quit a bit of dead skin around my cuticles still after and had to ask her to do it again. I was then placed under a fan which didn't cover all my toes to dry and was blowing cold air. I saw a dryer open and asked to move under it and it had heat. I didn't noticed the spa music playing at all until I was getting ready to leave as that is how noisy it was.

I didn't have a lot of time, so I decided to get my nails done (mani/pedi) at Luxe, too. I usually work around 55 hours a week and I'm going on vacation, so I'm even shorter on time. I liked my nail tech, but she did a horrible job on the nails. The pedicure, I kept, even though it is bad. The manicure was so bad, I had to remove the polish. It was everywhere (on my skin), which I wasn't too worried about since it would've probably washed off in the shower. But, it didn't cover the whole nail on any finger. And it was so thick it smudged even after 1.5 hours of drying. Being out $130 is bad enough, but I don't have time to get my nails redone. Instead of addressing the issues at this salon, the owner chose to just counter the bad reviews. And now I'm paying the price. I lost 2 hours that I was there plus another 40 minutes drive time AND $130. And I still don't have a manicure or have time to get one. I'm sure there are places in Rochester that have training for nail techs. There's really no excuse for that terrible of a manicure.

I tried the traditional 60-minute massage. I didn't get a chance to try the hot stones, but I noticed they are available. The staff was professional, friendly, and welcoming. After the massage, they offered complimentary drink options that were not limited to bottled water. That was a very nice touch. One thing I thought was unique, and absolutely enjoyed, was being able to choose the music during the massage. They have Alexa available, so you can ask it to play whatever type of music you like. I chose reggae jazz, which created an almost island-style mood for the appointment. In all the years I've treated myself to massages, this was the first time I had experienced that.
