    The SCAM wine
    Callista W.

We popped in last night to check out the place. It was completely dead, with the exception of a small group in the back section of the restaurant. The staff was very kind and attentive (up until the end when they sat behind us talking loudly about putting bets of football). And the food was meh. We got the meatballs (the sauce was extremely watery and lacked flavor), crab cakes (decent amount of crab, but very greasy and bland), rigatoni bolognese (fine, but again pretty bland), and the fillet (the mushroom sauce tastes like fake coconut & who puts spinach in mashed potatoes?) BUT my biggest complaint of all--the wine! The first wine I asked for was not available so I picked the Malbec. They charged $55 for a effing $8 bottle of ALDI wine!!! We didn't really enjoy it & now, after looking it up at home, I know why. What an absolute rip off and SCAM! We definitely will not go back and I will be sure to let others know of their little SCAM as well.

This is a nice small restaurant with friendly staff. I attended a group dinner with 35 people. So it was extremely noisy and crowded. Bread and white beans in olive oil on the table. I ordered my go to Italien favorites, Italien meatballs and caprese salad. My dining mate ordered eggplant parmesan and some others ordered mostly pasta entrees at our long table.. I have to say my meatball appetizer was a huge disappointment. The meatballs were dry and hard abd tasteless and I had to slice them with a knife not a fork. My caprese salad was tasty and nothing exceptional. My dining mate shared his eggplant parmesan with me which was good. Others diners liked what they ordered when I asked them and some thought food was mediocre. Food was plated nicely and came out hot. Menu a bit pricey in my opinion. Not sure if I would return again.

Great place the service was nice. The food was amazing and ambience felt like you were in a church inside of Italy, honestly, it's my favorite restaurant to go to for Italian food!

We had a large family event and loved the ambience and service. Situated in a strip mall but you get a very classy feel as soon as you walk in. Separate sections and a trattoria type feel and service. It's a quite popular so ambient noise can get up there during busy times. Several vegetarian antipasto options.

The food is over the moon delicious with plenty of options and reasonable serving sizes. Even with the slightly high price point, it is well worth every penny. And they take allergies SO seriously! Literally went through a bunch of ingredients to find what would and wouldn't be dairy-allergy safe. Atmosphere is fun but cozy, too. 100% recommend! In-depth: Postino has quickly become one of my favorite places in the CLT area after my 10/10 experience here. To start, the food. My word, it's amazing! Everything my friend and I tried was delicious. The bruschetta is 100% worth trying (the spinach artichoke one is my favorite), and the west coaster panini + romaine salad was tasty at every bite. Their wine is also good quality, with a decent-sized portion poured. Allergy safety is a major thing for them, too. Our server (Lee = the best waitress!) and her manager looked through their bread and ingredients for about 30 minutes to confirm what was and wasn't dairy safe (I asked how dairy allergies are handled for when I bring my husband next time). They also had quite a few gluten-free options, too. The manager explained that she wants people to be able to just come in and relax for a few hours without worrying if they'll get sick, which I truly, truly appreciate. Lee shared a similar sentiment, which was amazing. Now price... Yes, it is a *bit* pricey, but it is well worth it. Nothing felt lacking as far as flavor goes, and the allergy safety is a huge thing. This is one of the few places I felt my sandwich and salad were worth every penny, even if it was $17. Also, their rewards program is great. I got a free bruschetta board, and they offer several other perks. Make sure to sign up before or while dining there to get some good deals! In addition to their sincere care for allergy safety, the service is fantastic all around. They do group service, meaning you'll have several servers, and they encourage you to grab anyone if you have questions. This takes the pressure off of waiting for one server to walk by and really helped me relax. And the atmosphere? I could stay there all day! It's a really fun vibe, but the lighting and seating are very cozy. Overall, I've already recommended this place to 5+ people and will be returning soon

It currently offers free parking for 3 hours and incremental of 1- 2 hours paid parking after. My wife and I came here on a date night. While her original visit left more than be desired management invited us to give them a second try and I'm so glad we did. We had an amazing time from start to finish. The staff was amazing and I was astounded by their dedication to their craft. The best part was the food. We started with the chefs board which had an array of cheeses and spreads. The most memorable was the whipped feta. OMG. The Ambiance was the only thing I feel could use some tuning as there's not enough sound deadening to make the music out? It sounds like a heart beat and makes it hard to make out conversations. Major shout out to Leigh for taking care of us all night and making it a memorable night. Also big thanks to Odhie for the tickets to the concert. This was definitely a night to remember. Thank you Postinos Staff!

I could definitely see my friends and I popping in before a movie or shopping for some small bites and cocktails. The hostesses escorted us to a lovely private room where we selected our seats. The food battle was 4 courses, so 8 dishes going head-to-head for about 38 ppl. I know the kitchen staff and chefs were bussing their butts to get these beautiful plates out, introduce their dishes while serving the main dining room during restaurant week!!! Everything was delicious, thanks to chef Kevin (Stonecrest) and Jeremy (Kingsley). I believe it came down to a tie with chef Jeremy taking home the win by most overall points. But the real winners were myself and my fellow diners as we had to request to go boxes by the 3rd round as the portions were not only delicious but generous. Everything from the tuna (that sauce should be bottled and sold) to the sweet potato gnocchi w/ fennel sausage (holiday on a plate), it was all delicious. ESPECIALLY dessert! That upside down pineapple polenta cake with mango sorbet should be tried by everyone!

Before I get into the food coma portion of this review, I want to set the tone…read more I'm a big believer in giving restaurants real, honest feedback. Not Yelp-warrior nonsense. Actual constructive feedback. This industry is brutal. No one opens a restaurant hoping to disappoint people. I also live by the phrase "don't knock it until you've tried it." If a first visit doesn't hit my expectations, I'll give a place one more shot before forming a solid opinion. That feels fair to me. Some may disagree. To each their own. This is where Napa comes in. I admin a very large, very active, highly curated Charlotte Facebook group called Charlotte Foodies. Napa kept popping up in posts with glowing praise. A couple of friends and I were indecisive on where to eat one night and made a last-minute call to check it out. Our first visit, if I'm being honest, was a letdown. The dishes were beautifully plated and the service was wonderful, but the flavors felt dull. Safe. Muted. We left disappointed. I considered writing about it but stopped myself. One visit isn't a verdict. We didn't reach out to management because we hoped it was just an off night and planned to give them another shot. Then the universe did its thing. I connected with someone closer to Napa's management team. After hearing about my experience, they asked for honest feedback. I gave it. No sugarcoating. Just constructive criticism. To their credit, management was receptive and invited me back to try their newly launched menu to show that what I experienced was not their standard. I'm really glad I went back. Because Napa at Stonecrest absolutely redeemed themselves. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Warm woods, deep green banquettes, soft lighting, and oversized fabric pendant lights that somehow make everyone look better than when they walked in. Cozy without being cramped and energetic without being loud. You sit down and instantly feel relaxed. This time around, we told our server to let the GM drive and bring out what best showcases Napa right now. Risky move. Correct move. We started with the bacon flatbread. Soft but sturdy crust that holds up to the toppings, a respectable amount of mozzarella, big bacon lardons that actually taste like bacon, pearl onions that stay sweet and restrained, and the perfect amount of hot honey for heat and balance. Nothing overpowered anything else. The ahi tuna tartare was one of the better versions I've had in Charlotte. Huge portion for the value with clean, precise knife work. The avocado purée with citrus vinaigrette complemented the chilled tuna without overpowering it. The house-fried wonton chips were light and not greasy. We ran out of chips and I shamelessly spooned the remaining tuna straight into my mouth. The herb whipped goat cheese nailed it. We've tried a lot of whipped cheese dips around town and many miss the mark. This one was creamy, thick, and balanced, not soupy or overworked. The herbs, hot honey, and spiced almonds all played nicely together, and the crispy crostini were the perfect vehicle. Easily shareable for a table of three and would make a great weekday lunch paired with the tuna tartare. For entrées, the crusted halibut was perfectly seasoned with a beautiful crust. It almost ate like a pan-seared chicken breast until it flaked and reminded you it was fish. Creamy risotto underneath gave sophisticated mac-and-cheese vibes, with blistered pearl onions, roasted carrots, and a drizzle of olive oil tying it all together. The mushroom sugo pappardelle, which is gluten-free and vegetarian, was the most talked-about dish of the night. Deep, layered flavor with incredible balance. The marsala sauce had real depth and a gentle peppery warmth. One of my dining partners normally avoids mushrooms and said he would absolutely order this again and recommend it. The Napa fried chicken delivered. Perfectly crispy but still light, juicy inside with just the right seasoning. Smooth garlic mashed potatoes underneath and a tasso gravy that was salty, savory, and slightly spicy. It gave elevated chicken cordon bleu vibes without the cheese. The charred broccolini was excellent on its own but even better dragged through the gravy. Dessert damage was done. All hits. No filler. The flourless three-layer chocolate mousse cake was my favorite. No question. Each layer brought a different deep chocolate texture, and the handmade whipped cream kept it from feeling heavy. Please give me another one to take home so I can maintain an emergency stash. The crème brûlée with candied pecans had a perfect crack on the sugar top, subtle sweetness underneath, silky custard, and that extra sweet crunch from the pecans. Classic and executed exactly how it should be. The apple caramel cheesecake is the cheesecake I dream about. New York-style. Ultra-creamy, no grit, no nonsense. The apple tasted like real fruit, the caramel didn't hijack the plate, and there was just enough crust to balance everything. If cheesecake is your thing, pa
