They came out and fixed my mom's grandfather clock. The did a great job for a reasonable price.

Warning: Don't take your clock to this place unless you want it broken! We took a mantel clock…read morethere because it didn't keep correct time. The owner said he didn't see anything wrong with the springs for the chime and clock. He said the chime was wound enough, but the clock was not which he thought might be why it didn't work properly. I told him MY HUSBAND TRIED TO WIND IT BUT HAD TROUBLE TURNING THE KEY! I asked if you can overwind the clock. His reply was not with the key. He proceeded to wind the chime and then the clock telling us how many turns for how many days. All of the sudden the spring for the clock broke. "Sorry". There must have been a problem with the spring and that's why my husband had trouble winding it, but clockman dismissed what I said. I asked what it would cost to repair the clock - $300! I said no way was I paying that. He said "I wish I could fix it for less." I'm thinking why not, you broke it for less! He didn't offer to give me any type of discount when he rendered the clock useless. I brought in a clock that I thought needed a minor repair and ended up leaving with a broken piece of junk. I left in tears because this clock was my inheritance from my grandmother and figured it was perhaps 100 years old. Some people might say it was the age that caused the spring to break, but I believe it was his know-it-all attitude that did. He should change his business name to "Broken in Time"!

I chose this person because of the rating and response from people. Unfortunately, the experience…read morewas not that great. When we first started talking and attempt to set up an appointment for a time. I was told any time after 11am. So I showed up around 230ish and no one was home. So he tells me he on a service call and his wife will be back in 20 min. Or so. So after coming back I met his wife to do a drop off. She told me that her husband will contact me with in a week or maybe less. Well a week went by and no answer. So I called the guy wanting to see where he was at with the clock. He tells me he on a service call and he'll call me back in 2 hours. Two hours went by and no call back so I waited. Another week goes by without a peep from him (now 2 weeks in) so I call again to see were he at with the clock if he even look at it yet. he tells me that he busy on another service call and he'll have the estimate the next day around 6-7 pm I said okay and waited. And of course the next day came and no respond. Yet again another week goes by without a peep from him. So three week has gone by and I had gotten no answer from him if looked at the clock, on what's wrong with the clock, what it will take to fix the clock, how much it would cost, and how long it will take. Nothing at this point, I still haven't even met this guy yet either. I get it if he's busy but communicate that with the person. Maybe actually be there to meet the person at the beginning And don't tell people you're going to do something and not communicate. You made me feel like I just gave a con man my property. The only good thing was I was able to get my clock back without a problem.
