Great food, ok ambience! You have to order at the counter and service is fast. The falafel appetizer, vegetarian mesa platter and chicken shawarma were all very tasty. The chicken kababs were a little chewy though and didn't seem cooked very well. It's not too pricey and food options are plenty. Seating is cramped with mostly 4 chairs per table and the restaurant can seem crowded quickly. There are some cushion seats for sitting on the floor but they looked a little unclean. read more

Eihab had THE best customer service I've see, this gentleman would greet every customer with a smile and go above and beyond to help them. The food was sensational! I highly recommend getting a pizza and splitting it between two flavors if you're not sure about what flavor--which, are great! It's incredible that a pizza place took pepperoncini pepper and thinly sliced them, the flavor is amazing! AND it's halal! This place is a MUST try if you're in Austin, and please ask for Eihab to make your meal, I guarantee you will leave satisfied! read more

The Vibe: Very laid back mediterranean. Family Friendly! You can either sit at a table, or have a seat on the floor on the comfy floor furniture. The staff is ALWAYS very friendly, and welcoming. Every time I've been here I've felt welcomed! The Menu: There are literally so many options to choose from. From their amazing chicken wings & pizza, to there traditionally Mediterranean dishes and Lamb Shank (personal fave). At certain times during the day, there is a lunch option as well, where you can choose options from the food bar. It's a bit overwhelming to have to many options to choose from. Just stick with what looks good to your eye and pallet. Everything is pretty tasty! The pizza is underrated! Order Pizza!! This would be a great place for a quiet lunch, or a hip meet up with friends that isn't over crowded with long lines and loud music. I did take out from this place because I was craving pizza! So I like that they have different sizes for pizzas and to make my life easier, I just selected their Arpeggio pizza which has all the stuff I like in a pizza anyways. The small is perfect for 2 meals. Dinner and breakfast (don't judge me). It's a yummy pizza. The dough was puffy. I did not notice if the staff were following CDC guidelines but they were not wearing masks. There was also a group of 3 dining in, 20 minutes before closing. read more

The kids and I met up with my husband for Saturday late lunch after we were all done with our morning activities. We were pleasantly greeted and informed to grab a seat to look over the menu, then order at the counter. We ended up with a gyro, Greek burger and chicken skewers. The gyro and Greek burger were paired with fries. The chicken skewers rested on rice with Greek salad by their side. The first thing we hope for is enough tzatziki sauce! My Greek burger was devine! Gyro meat, feta cheese, succulent veggies and patty tasted and looked so good that my husband second guessed his choice. Meanwhile I took a look at his gyro and told myself I should have ordered that. We actually didn't share and both enjoyed our initial decision! The chicken plate was for the kids. They must have been hungry because they ate the pieces we put in front of them. And they enjoyed the pita bread, plus our fries. I had dibs on their salad. We all enjoyed our food and agreed that other items on the menu would have been just as filling. I had the chicken skewers for lunch the next day and it was great on the reheat. read more

My girlfriend and I tried this place out for a Sunday dinner and had a pretty good experience. This was our 2nd time visiting, the first being several years ago and I will say that the place isn't as good as we recall, but not a bad choice. One key difference is that now it's a counter serve restaurant so they don't wait on you which seems to be a weird transition, but due to Covid they made this change. I went with a mixed meat plate and I ended up taking home 1/3 of it for a second meal. The plate was pretty good, but the pitas felt a bit stale. Overall, it was a pretty good dinner. Two of us and $37 and we were both full. I don't know that I would come back for a while as it's not a sit down restaurant anymore, but if you were looking for a decent Mediterranean spot this is a good choice. read more

Tried this place with TooGoodToGo, which is basically an app that sells some leftovers from restaurants/bakeries with low price. I got this box of food and it's pretty tasty, I like the hummus and the grilled squash. Salads are very fresh still and flavorful. The pita is so good! I bet if I order directly from the menu it would be even better. The staff was also very friendly to me. read more

Ordered takeout and a bit disappointed. I ordered gyro rice plate, and there are only 4 piece of gyro on the plate. The salad is decent and fresh, but I was a bit disappointed with the meat portion. Maybe eat in will be better next time. The pistachio baklava desert is absolutely delicious, a lot of pistachio in the fillings, worth the try! read more

Okay, the chicken and rice in the chicken shawarma were really good, but everything else was not. I got falafel, which was heavily spiced and just tasted very bad. As a Muslim I was appalled at the amount of sausage and pepperoni I saw when I walked in, yallah habibi!! However, I was quickly informed that everything is Halal. We ordered a giant meat lovers pizza and for the first time in my life I was able to eat pepperoni and sausage without the fear of going straight to hell. The pizza was humungous and taste-wise fine (ask for ranch), and the gyro was solid. Anyway, come to this place to be Harami without actually being Harami. The food at Arpeggio is consistent delicious. I enjoy everything I order from here. They have the best halal burgers in Austin. Recently I ordered a chicken salad and spicy bbq chicken wings. This is a "go to" restaurant, stop when we are in Austin for decent Mediterranean food and good pizza. Check out their 30 inch pizza!!! I have never seen one this huge! Unfortunately, they have done away with table service, so ordering at the window is not great. The person taking our order spoke limited English, and could not answer our menu questions, well. Other than that, it is an enjoyable place to eat and I love that they keep the tradition of floor seating (with no kids allowed!) and as option. read more

I ordered a 12-piece falafel and hummus from Arpeggio Grill for takeout, but I got to the meal pretty late, so couldn't experience it fresh. The falafel was a bit dense and tough, not as crispy as I would like. On the other hand, the hummus was flavorful. I enjoyed dipping the falafel into it, finishing the two sauce cups relatively quickly into my meal. The meal didn't quite hit the mark in terms of texture, but the flavors and seasonings were solid and it made for a decent snack read more

I was over in the area and looking for somewhere to eat. Arpeggio Grill caught my eye. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you walk in you are transported to another world. The music and the atmosphere are so nice here. The murals on the wall transport you to a different place. And they have incredible lunch specials. I went through the line and got the chicken Shawarma with three sides, a salad and a drink all for $11. Everyone working was so friendly and I was able to get a quick meal that I really enjoyed at a reasonable price. all of the food was so fresh. I got the tabouli, falafel and rice. This is definitely the kind of place that you can get in and out of quickly or you can linger longer. It looks like they even have really cool floor seating for a more authentic experience. read more

Arpeggio is a really cool Mediterrenean restaurant, and they have PIZZA. I've only been a few times, once for a vegan meal ordered off the menu, and twice for their lunch special. The lunch special is like $8 and comes with your choice of protein and 3 sides. I've never had their pizza, but it looks great, and they have a GIANT pizza that I really want to order one day. It's like 3ft in diameter. The customer service has always been friendly and helpful, and the decor is appropriate for the cuisine's style. You can even recline and dine on the floor at a short table by if you're so inclined. I wish they served beer and wine. Overall, solid above average grub with vegan and vegetarian options. I'm on the fence on this rating between 3 and 4. The restaurant has a bit of a smell to it. Not from the food, it smells like it could use a deep clean. It wasn't clear if there was table service or we should go to the counter. Eventually I asked and it's counter service. I don't mind, but it's priced like sit-down food, and the register prompts you for a sit-down tip (18-25%). I got the mashawi plate. I thought it would come with Greek salad but I misinterpreted the menu. The meat was ok. The tomatoes were almost white. The rice, while simple, was cooked perfectly. I appreciated that. It gets 4 stars because the pizza is terrific. Not what I was looking for, but that's what my kid wanted. Hand tossed, good tasting crust, nicely toasted. Normally I do thin NYC style, but I have to admit it was pretty good. Comes on a silver pan. Good to know my son will come here. Just in terms of food, I'd probably opt for Phoenicia instead. I might come here again and try the mezze- hummus is an important way to judge a Mediterranean restaurant. read more

Bad experience, food and service. Go to Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet instead. When you see 90% of the reviews with 5 stars, but all those comments are about hamburgers, pizza and wings (fast or trash food), they're definitely know nothing about Mediterranean or good food at all. If you are a person who knows about Mediterranean food, don't waste your money or time with this place. Tahini was very sticky and smoky. The tabule had no lemon, bulger or authentic tabule seasoning. Garlic-Parmesan wings with Tabasco sauce? What in the world? The tea was only hot water with some moldy flavor. Finally, the service was completely uncourteous and deficient. What a disappointment. NO NEED TO COME TO THIS PLACE! read more

I decided to stop here after leaving the gym down the street because I like Mediterranean food and didn't want to drive to my usual spot. Despite living just two blocks away, I had never tried this place before, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Upon entering, I was not greeted with the most welcoming tone by the person at the front. He seemed like he didn't want to work there or take my order for that matter. He let me know I could get my order to go but not dine in, which was fine, but I later found out, albeit unintentionally, that it was 30 minutes before their closing time. While I was standing there, one of the staff members walked by and smacked him on the back of the head for telling me that. Right in front of me. Overlooking the fact, I ordered a Gyro plate but out of mere laziness it would seem, he didn't bother to ask me what type of meat I wanted, which matched his overall attitude. After waiting for about 10 minutes, he brought my order to the front while I was talking to a lady about the restaurant closing soon and how she should hurry and order just to be nice. He looked at me with disdain, rolled his eyes, which was extremely unprofessional and walked away. I didn't make a big deal about it in the moment and just decided to leave but to top everything off when I got home and opened my order, I realized it wasn't a Gyro plate at all. The pita it came with was hard, they did not give me any hummus and there was no spicy sauce just some veggies that they cut and threw in there. It was the most basic Mediterranean food I have ever had in my life. The quality of which being no better than what I could've made at home. Due to this entire experience, I don't think I'll be returning. It's a shame too because the dining area was very appealing, and I was considering inviting a group to check it out at a later time. If this is a family-owned business and I were the owner, I would be extremely disappointed. This is not how you should run a restaurant. read more

Everything is always packaged nicely and securely, and the food is consistently delicious. They also carry other sweets worth trying like honey cakes and pistachio baklava. On the savory side, some dishes I've really enjoyed are the Mezze Platter, Beef and Lamb Doner, and Ribeye Steak Shish Kebab. It's not super loud but the front can get a bit overstimulating when it's busy, so if you're not a fan of crowds I'd recommend coming outside of peak hours. This most recent time, I didn't realize until I was home that they forgot to pack one of the baklava cheesecakes I'd ordered. Then there's my mom, who just loves the abundance and variety of a buffet. She's happiest when she can sample a little bit of everything, build plates with lots of small bites, and then go back for more. Demassi's is perfect for that. On top of all of this, it's very reasonably priced, especially for lunch or on weeknights. She did give us good service its just for the high price I would expect some more detailed suggestions on drinks, being able to split the check other than 50/50 (or at least ask someone instead of just saying 'I don't know how'). It was friendly and enthusiastic service just not 'wow this truly is fine dining' service. Outside of the restaurant, parking is a bit of a pain but that is normal for down town. We parked at the Laz garage half a block away- $8 for 2 hrs instead of the $27 for valet.
