I planned to leave a five-star review for their termite inspection of a house as part of buying it. However, they are attempting to charge me $550 for a termite service which I refused. Had I ordered this service, the $75 inspection fee would have been waived, but I paid it. This should make it clear I did not accept the service. I told Stephanie, who is nice & helpful, that I did not want the service, on the day they did the inspection. I thought I was finished with them, but I was wrong. They have a invoice with the former owner's signature requesting the service. When I heard that the service was being performed, I even called Stephanie to make sure they knew I did not want it. I was told that it was on the previous owners, who owned the place at the time. Now, I have received two bills for a service that I refused performed on a property that I did not own at the time. After the first bill, two weeks ago, I was told by Stephanie that it would "taken care of", yet today, I received another bill. On top of all that, they are trying to collect $75, that would have been waived, which has already been paid. I do my own pest control, but if I needed help, I would have called them. Now, I will warn people of their deceitful practices. How is it my responsibility if someone else does not pay her bill? I hope that the Better Business Bureau helps. read more

This outfit apparently installed our ground termite bait stations for our builder. New home, now 1 year old. They have been sending bills to us for an annual service which we have NOT ordered or are under contract for. We contacted them and they admitted it was a marketing ploy. We continue to receive these bills and most recently received a PAST DUE notice. After contacting they they said they would REMOVE the bait stations that our builder had installed. THIS IS OUR PROPERTY. They are NOT welcome here. We will NEVER do business with them. Getting the bait changed is a simple do it yourself operation. THIS COMPANY IS RUNNING A SCAM! read more

I received a bill for service that was never performed. I was told they came while I was not home and treated the outside only and would be back to complete the inside. They never returned, but instead billed me as if the work had been done. When I called they offered me $20 off the work they DIDN'T do. Unbelievable. I had been using Arrow for about a year and a half. I had issues with wasps actually getting into my house at one point. Arrow was no help. Their attempts to rid wasps from my house was pretty much non-existent. Last time they actually sprayed, the exterminator told me he couldn't spray everything inside because there was too much furniture on the walls. Very weird that he had been the same one to spray every time, and he had never said anything before. There are literally two beds and one couch against exterior walls, that could have been easily moved he said something. So I was paying for indoor and outdoor service but was getting insufficient indoor service at that. The last attempted service was the last straw. I was scheduled for June 30th and had to reschedule for the next business day. The next day came around, something came up with my son and I had to schedule for the next business day (in advance to my scheduled time). That day came and the technician had to schedule for the next day, which was fine considering I had already rescheduled twice. That day came around and he texted me well after the time he was supposed to show up that he was in Dayton all day and wasn't going to be able to make it. I get it, things happen, but he should have known he was going to be in Dayton and shouldn't have scheduled me. Not only that, I hadn't heard from him after that to actually schedule a time that would work for both of us. I called the office and they had scheduled me a time. A few days later, I got a bill in the mail from them for the original date of June 30th for full service. I called the office and was met with someone who was very unhelpful. I was asking why I was being scheduled for a service that wasn't completed, apparently the technician had put in the system that he did come out and performed exterior extermination but had to schedule a respray for the interior. I tried explaining that he did not come at all and she wouldn't listen to me. She just kept saying over and over that he had notes in there and that I needed to pay for the service. I told her that we had texts showing that it had been rescheduled and that it never ended up happening. She didn't want to hear any of that. She said she would put it in the system and have a manager call me. A week went by, and I heard from nobody. I called back and the manager was at lunch. The woman who answered this time, actually did tell the manager about my situation. The manager emailed me the next day and the bill is taken care of. Thankfully I was able to get that bill that shouldn't have been billed to me taken care of but the work performed by arrow, is subpar. In fact, every time they come to spray, the bug issues in my home are worse. read more

I am goIng to try and make this short and sweet. During the process of buying the house we live in now we are required to get an "all clear" letter meaning there are no termites etc. As the buyer of the house it is paramount we get this because we do not want to buy something that is infested with termites. This company was contracted to do the inspection. Upon the inspection they found termites and were paid to treat the issue. The seller of the house also bought a 1 year protection plan from them. Fast forward a few months after I have moved in, my wife and I discover boards of termites in the house. We contact this company and it seemed like a burden for them to come out. They finally came out and treated AGAIN , but this time they couldn't tell me if It was under warranty for god knows what reason. As the purchased yearly protection plan was ending I was contacted NUMEROUS times by phone, email, mail , you name it, just because they wanted me to Renew the plan. I have never been so harrassed by a company for renewal. Several times I was at work and my phone was blaring from these people. You would think the company got the point I did not want their BS protection plan from all the times I did not contact them back! Then, I receive an email about a 90 day notice. Now when most of us receive 90 day notices it is because we have a bill past due. This company uses that to force you to contact them. Fearing They were charging me for something that would possibly go to credit I contacted them immediately. The manager responded back telling me it was a 90 day notice to renew my plan. Really!!!!! ? Also, apparently their termite protection plan is to leave equipment in the ground and if you fail to renew your plan be prepared! They will threaten to come pick this equipment up immediately. I email the manager telling her I do not want the plan anymore, as if she couldn't understand this by me not responding to the first 1,000 phone calls. Fast forward a week or so and before 8 AM on my days off my doorbell goes off! Yup, their technician was outside ripping things out of the ground. No notice, no phone call, no email to tell me, hey, before 8 AM on your day off we are gonna be outside your house. Their hours show 8-5 , except when you refuse to use them anymore it's whenever they want. They are a pain to get out to your house when you need them but by god when you fail to renew their service screw your sleep and screw the customer! I will never use them ever again read more

Buyer be ware!!! They are going through your stuff and taking your stuff!! Creepy!!! My elderly mom lost $1200 cash the day the exterminator from Arrow came in and he was the only person in the house... Arrow said piss off and they had no responsibility!!! read more

UPDATE JUNE 9 (Please read below for initial 1 star review): Everything was resolved, and I'm very happy with the attention and service I received. I would highly recommend using Arrow. I worked with Marty, the Region Technical Training Manager, who came out with what you might describe as a long selfie stick ("dust stick") that allowed him to reach and dust the carpenter bee holes along the roofline. This is how it was supposed to be done. We also found bee activity in a shed, and after I cut out the siding, we found a lot of bees in the insulation. Justin and Marty sprayed the area and cleaned up the insulation. Marty said he hadn't ever seen this before (avoiding the wood and laying eggs in insulation), so he took the bag for training). It was this kind of service I expected from the get go, and I'm the kind of customer that is happy to pay for really good service. (It's why I buy Apple products; the customer service is much better than any other manufacturer.) CAVEAT Be an informed (and involved) customer. You can get better service that way. Google and YouTube treatment. The dust stick is a perfect example. The first two attempts at treating my home didn't involve the dust stick! And there's a video showing how the dust stick is used to reach up high. ================== UPDATE 15 MAY: (Read below for entire story.) Got a call from Glenn, a regional manager, who happened saw my review as he was leaving town. He offered a refund or to investigate and possibly solve the problem. After describing what happened, he explained that it's possibly no one at Arrow in Chatt is certified to use a tall ladder, for example 40ft, and they may need to pull someone in from out of town. (which seems odd to me since there are lots of 2-story homes!). Anyway, I received the refund and will be visited by a higher up technician next week. I'll update my review then. I do really appreciate this kind of service from some one who seems to know how the business works. It's been shocking that the local folks didn't know that a tall ladder is needed for a two-story home and that you need to dust the holes in addition to applying the residual from the outside. In fact, the websites I've read state the holes should be sprayed to kill the queen, then dusted, then the residual liquid applied, and finally filling the holes 3-4 months later or in the Fall to see if larvae hatch and to prevent them from drilling out from the inside! =================== I had a great experience with a termite inspection and treatment, and so I was very let down by my carpenter bee experience with Arrow. The inspection and estimate steps seemed pretty straightforward. $225 for powder in the holes and chemical spray around house and decks. Except for the house being a duplex with a gable between units (they won't go on the roof), things seemed great. The tech shows up in a small pick up with no ladder. This is a two-story house. Apparently the dispatcher sent wrong tech (that's the story anyway). He borrows my ladder to dust a couple holes above the front porch. I'm on the phone with the sales person, Coty, and we work it out so another tech and truck will come the following week (I'm out of town). Mix ups can happen and I communicate the inconvenience but say it's cool to come back once I'm home. New day, new tech (a service manager), new mix up. This time they show up with wrong chemical because the service manager understood that he was only doing naked wood on a deck. (Does any one write up detailed reports and orders?) Off the cuff, I ask for a discount, and Coty tells me "That's not going to happen." Especially considering the $75 "ladder fee." I retort, "Well, your tech used my ladder last week; let's off-set those fees." He's not happy with my suggestion. After involving the service manager, who says he's not happy with Coty (Coty is standing right there), because the quote was too low for the work needing to be done. I say I'm going to switch companies in the future. Coty, who is becoming more and more defensive and aggressive, wants to call the whole deal off. I'm upset to because after 10 minutes I've only got Justin to barely admit that showing up with the wrong equipment twice in a row is a problem. Coty won't take any responsibility; in fact, his position is that they're still in the 10am-12pm window, so no harm no foul. So now (I'm live describing this), it's 10:45, and what I was told would take "driving 3 miles to the shop and back" is at 20+ minutes. Still waiting. The treatment with the liquid spray was completed, though doing it from a tiny ladder means spray all over the place, including the tech. (also no powder applied around roof because they aren't allowed on ladders high enough to reach.) A week later, not only are the carpenter bees still coming in and out of the holes that were sprayed, they've also started at least 5 new holes in the same location. The company and service isn't so much a joke as the management is. The "manager" I believe his name is Alex, he talks all around his numbers on how much services are, he's quoted me prices I know twice now and different both times. I chose to talk to him, and he was all over the place, as you can tell he doesn't delegate responsibility well at all, he was rude and telling me that I could find someone else to deal with if I wanted and was not worried at all about getting my business or not! Very unprofessional!!! PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY if you can't speak to a manager without getting disrespected imagine what the whole company is like! A friend of mine recommended them for pest control and I've relaid them message about to them and they were and weren't in shock when it comes to this "new manager" his name just to make it clear is Alex! Might I add, that is the name I had to ask him for he didn't openly give that to me upfront as a normal human being in the managerial position would. These people are a JOKE!! Management is more worried about the women you hear speaking in the background than you they are getting your business. People don't waste your time or money!! read more

But for me, it is more important that companies handle their mistakes and shortcomings appropriately than to never make a mistake, which is of course unrealistic.
