So I had an oil change appointment with arrowhead Honda on bell Rd. After getting checked in I noticed that most of the employees inside the dealership were not wearing masks. Being a snowbird from Michigan I am not used to seeing a business with such callous disregard for their customers' well being. I decided to err on the side of caution and cancel my oil change. I got back in my van, started it up, put it in gear and my " service specialist" walks around the front of the car, accusing me of trying to run him over... And then .. Called me a fucking asshole. I immediately excited the car and asked to speak with the manager. He came right over and as I was explaining what happened, the "service specialist" told the manager, " to be clear, I called him a fucking asshole". I guess, if this is the way you allow your employees to treat customers, you have a different idea of customer service than I do. DON'T BUY YOUR NEW CAR HERE!!! I went through the worst experience purchasing my new CrV at Arrowhead Honda. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle there or send anyone there. Going through the financing process was terrible, because I had 3 different people telling me things. One of them lied about telling not to make the last payment on my old car because they would take care of it. When they paid off my last loan they didn't update the payoff amount and tried to put it on me. After several months of fighting with them they finally paid rest of the payoff. It was such a headache to go through. I am still waiting for a refund from them, which Walter (in finance) told me would take 7 or 8 weeks but it has been almost 3 months and nothing. I am so tired of dealing with them about anything because it just takes too much energy out of me. If this isn't settled soon I will go to the BBB. read more

Run.I mean run. Absolutely the worst experience I have had. Was greeted by a salesman and seemed to be a good start. Then he's phone started ringing. Instead of putting it on silent and taking the time to answer our questions. He just would say one second in the middle of the conversation and start talking to someone. Happened 4 times. Then brings us inside. We sit there 10 plus minutes. While he instead of getting us numbers. Went and found another salesman and pushed us off on him. Like thought you wanted to sell me a car I was there to buy. Didn't say a word and just left. The new salesman seemed to be an improvement. But it went down hill fast. We talked numbers and said what we wanted to finance. How what can we do to get close to the number. I get it's a game. But instead of just saying that's not something they can do And saying this is the best they can do. He made us feel like we were crazy. And even accidentally let out a laugh. And kept saying. Where in the world did you get that number. Like come on guys. Learn how to sell and learn how to have basic people skills. Just based on the experience even if I decided on Honda it will never be from here. read more

This dealership has taken advantage of my sister in law who was recently widowed. She was at the dealership purchasing a new replacement car. They pulled a switch on her from the car she test drove to the actual car she purchased the next day. The actual car was $1500 cheaper than the one she test drove but the dealership charged her $600 more. On top of that they took advantage of her lack of knowledge and sold her alarms, and warranty services for above what she needed. We went down the following day to try and correct these discrepancies but they said because she signed the contract there was nothing they could do. read more

I've been having a transmission issue on my minivan that has been hard to diagnose, I've had it to the service dep't a few times and it's still not resolved - but it will be. I have a service advisor by the name of Brandon Whitaker and he has been outstanding and more than helpful. He has taken in my van without an appointment, has worked with me every step of the way on this problem. I know I can depend on him and count on him to resolve this issue, he has gone above & beyond to help. This is for service only. On a 2000 Honda Accord Vtec EX. Had major service done here: 1. timing belt, water pump, tune up, etc. Basically everything that was recommended and told needed to be done. Wanted the car to be reliable and not have any issues so I went ahead with all the required maintenance and then some. 1 month after all this major service the radiator blew open coming back from flagstaff.....Ok so I understand things break etc. I take it to Arrowhead Honda Service and the explanation was since I replaced the water pump with a new one it must have increased pressure in the system. Since the radiator was old the new water pump found a weakness in the radiator. I was then told it was common??? OK I get the explanation, but if that was the case a month a go and common knowledge why not recommend replacing the radiator with the major service so the car would not leave me stranded??? They also had recommended the power steering pump be replaced, system flushed etc. Hate when its not done right the first time? Had to bring it back and wait for them to get air out of the system so the new power steering pump would stop making noise. I went to this dealership service department because they know Honda's better then me and what breaks, unfortunately even when I changed everything they initially recommended they still missed other items that should of been changed. I have not been back since this mistake.... read more

MAJOR RIPOFF AND INCOMPETENCE ALERT They only get one star because they did correctly diagnose and repair the problem I was there for. The service adviser (salesman) Anoeil Azar told me that my brakes were dangerously worn out. Since I wasn't experiencing any problems I elected to get a second opinion. Another shop told me that the front brakes were about half used up, and the rear brakes were only 10% used. What Arrowhead Honda did miss was that the front end was misaligned and the tires were dangerously worn on the inside edge of the tread. A first day apprentice would have caught how bad the tires were worn. I won't be going back. read more

I read the reviews on the service department and almost cancelled my appointment. New to the area and needed an oil change and cooling system fluid exchange. I was warmly greeted when I pulled up. My service advisor was Steve Bullock. He was great. Friendly and provided great customer service. I waited at the dealership for the service. Great waiting area and seats with USB ports. Service was performed quickly and under 2 hours I was on my way. No issues and very happy. read more

Being a woman and blonde often does not get me the best of service as I am often treated like I don't know what I'm doing. This is NOT the case at Arrowhead Honda. This is the second time I have been to Arrowhead Honda. The first time I purchased a 2017 Honda Accord and was treated extremely well. I was not planning on trading in my Accord but I have always wanted an SUV so I went back to Arrowhead and test drove the Honda HRV and fell in love. Again, I was treated extremely well and was in and out within a very reasonable amount of time. All of this happened during a major remodel of the dealership. It's difficult to get into but it is very much worth it. Don't let the construction deter you from visiting! read more

I removed them from my list of competing dealerships right away and discontinued all communications. The best and most straight answer I ever received in the area of Phoenix is Tempe Honda! Kudos for fastest, most straight-forward answer to a question: What is the Out The Door price of this car? All initially refuse to provide information and ask you to call. DO NOT fall for that, eventually they will give you a number. Patience. Do not agree to set date to buy, drive or call. Keep them at a distance, and make it clear unless you have a number negotiations will end. Demand written communication. That way they can't back out and say you misunderstood. Also you can use those written down numbers to show you are not at their mercy, and you have 4 dealerships quoting lower numbers. Power to the buyer! The longer you wait, the more the price of the car goes down - it's only getting older, and new models are released every day.Take your sweet time when buying a car, and do not hurry for any reason - your car may get sold, we only have so many packages with this financing options, this offer expires - yeah, right. I recently helped my mother, a senior living in Sun City West, when she needed a new car. Yelp was our starting point. Yelp reviews of Phoenix area Honda and Toyota dealerships generally reflect a polarization at both ends of the rating spectrum, from which I concluded that the probability of having a good experience with any one of them was likely to be a roll of the dice. We visited nearly half the Honda and Toyota dealers in Phoenix, and discovered that some of them richly deserve their 1-2 star Yelp ratings. Arrowhead Honda was (for us) one of the less impressive dealerships. When we arrived, it was clear that some kind of promotion was underway and the showroom was quite busy. Nevertheless, one of the salesmen approached us and initiated a dialogue. Shortly thereafter, he was paged and asked us to "wait 2 minutes" at a table to allow him to respond to another customer. Twenty (20) minutes later we were still sitting there awaiting his return. We were unable to locate him and finally left. I have been involved in business all of my adult life, and suspect that this is not generally how Arrowhead Honda does business. Further, we have all experienced lapses of awareness from time to time; these things happen. Having said that, it was annoying. read more

Till now, I didn't bother writing a review about this "business", because I just wanted to forget about them. But today, they sent me an email -- unsolicited spam, of course -- saying that there's such an interest in people buying old Hondas (mine's a 2012), that they wanted me to call them so they could make an offer for my car and, if I wanted, they'd be happy to put me in a newer model for the same monthly payment. Now, I wouldn't normally be bothered by such a transparent and ridiculous attempt to get someone to come in and buy a new model with a load of crap about giving you a premium buyback price, irrespective of how pathetically juvenile the email was. But then I remembered that these were the same unprofessional trash who tried to pass off an alarm system in the car as a $1500 ad on, when said alarm system sells at any auto store for $ 99!!! (And we won't even discuss their attempts to prevent cancellation of an optional warranty on the vehicle (total rip off) within the time allowed by law ... a clearly illegal act). I've dealt with a lot of sleazy, unprofessional and disgustingly dishonest car salesmen in my life, but Arrowhead Honda gives the people who rip off the elderly and Wall Street banker-embezzlers stealing their customers' money in Ponzi schemes a good name in comparison. If the people at this place knew how many friends and colleagues I've successfully steered away from doing business with them simply by telling them my own personal experience with their salesmen and "customer service" people, they would NEVER have risked contacting me and stirring up my ire ... again. I usually don't expect much from dealers so when they just do an average job, I'm pretty satisfied. Unfortunately the service advisor at Arrowhead Honda I had still believes in using scare tactics and pushing unnecessary service. Right off the bat, I was told I needed a service that costs around $800 that was not due for another 55k miles. When I balked and referred to the manual for the maintenance schedule, he pulled out an old photocopy of some random Honda manual before they started using the Maintenance Minder system to try and justify it. Then he lied again saying the schedules had been changed and I was thinking of the old one. This is not a good start. The prices are above average ($80 for a synthetic oil change) and the waiting room is pretty cramped. The entire dealership has an awkward layout. They did take about 2 hours for an oil change and a tire rotation which is pretty standard for dealer time I guess but definitely unnecessary as this service should take a mechanic no more than 30 minutes. Upon leaving, I received a sales pitch for new tires (which I will need shortly) but again using scare tactics such as "safety hazard." I won't mention the service advisor's name but I see he has been mentioned before in previous one star reviews. In summary: unnecessary service is pushed, above average prices, below average waiting room and above average waiting times. read more

We went here with the intention of buying a new van. Point blank - The dealership was a zoo. Test drove a van but then hubby started to consider an Accord. The Sales Manager went from being our best friend to just walking away from us when the potential sale $$'s dropped. The salesman proceeded to tell us his opinion of our other car (VW Jetta) and he was extremely unprofessional. Needed to return a lease, called 3 times and left messages twice for a Vinnie (he dodged my phone call the second time) and he still refused to return my calls. I found another dealership that was more than happy to take it back. They were pleased to hear the car was in great condition with only 14k miles on it. I'm sure they will have no problems reselling it and making money off of it. I think this is the first time I have ever heard of a dealership not wanting a car they were guaranteed to make money off of. This is also the first time a dealership wouldn't return my calls in the hopes of trying to get a sale out of me. read more

1.) The service work was done fine, upgraded 2 software service bulletins. 2.) The complimentary car wash was awful. They ran it through without drying it and returned it to me full of water spots. Black car.... water spots like to stick around on black paint during May's high temperatures. 3.) They tried to hard-sell a.) fuel injector service b.) brake fluid exchange service c.) transmission fluid exchange service. The car has 25,000 miles and it sounds early to have this many services performed. Honda recommends 30K with EXTREME conditions, otherwise, it is at 90K. ;-( read more

DISHONEST SERVICE DEPARTMENT! The warranty on my 2012 Pilot just expired which means it's time for the dealer to make up their money from those first three years. I recently took my vehicle in for a recall on the bushings -- a good thing because it turned out they were indeed leaking. Of course, while this work was being done, they performed their "courtesy inspection". The service rep called to tell me that in addition to the recommended three 45,000-mile maintenance services, my rear brakes were worn down to between 2 and 3 millimeters. I was told this was an immediate safety issue requiring replacement along with the brake fluid. Between the brakes and 45K mile maintenance, I was looking at a service cost of close to $800 -- and that was with a 15% discount thrown on if I did EVERYTHING that day. I cannot afford such an unexpected expense and am a smart shopper, so I declined the service for the time being and called another shop. Sun Devil Auto on West Bell Road quoted me $200 less than the dealership price. Say what?!! Needless to say, that's where I took my vehicle for the work. I assumed that the dealer had given me an honest and accurate assessment, but Sun Devil promised to do their own inspection prior to starting the work. To my surprise, the technician came out and said my brakes were FINE! He took me out to see my car on the rack and showed me that the brakes were not even worn down to 5 !!! Sun Devil topped off my brake fluid and released my car with no charge. I will return there when needed, and I recommend you do the same. So the outcome on my experience is this: Arrowhead Honda Service, in addition to being highly overpriced, was deceitful in attempting to sell me a completely unnecessary brake job. There is not much worse an auto service can do other than actually sabatoge a vehicle. I would like to give them 0 stars based on the complete dishonesty. I am only giving a single star to compensate for the outstanding senior citizens who drive the courtesy shuttle, which has always been a great convenience. And the previous service associates who helped me while the vehicle was under warranty seemed to be honest, but the true test comes after the warranty expires. I have been to this location a few times before. I have never been here for service though. My car was apart of a nationwide recall for airbags. I made an appointment a week before and dropped my car off. I did enjoy the coffee area and treats. The complimentary shuttle back to my house was great too. But with that, I know dealerships will want to make money off of unassuming people. An employee called to inform me of all the things wrong with my car and how much it would cost me. I only came to drop off my car to get my airbag fixed, not to be bombarded by costs that I cannot afford. I appreciate them for looking into it, but I just got annoyed when all these figures were rattled to me on the phone. I also was charged for something I didn't ask for, but the employee rectified that situation. I don't go to dealerships often, but I wonder if this is standard practice. Overall, I'm ok with how I was treated and would come back again if need be. read more

While we didn't buy a car from this location the staff / process of trying ones out was one of the best we had out of a weekend of awful arrogant, sexist and hostile sales staff at various locations. Recession is over apparently:) Went in to see a 2nd hand Volvo s60 didn't fit the wife, tried the Accord Coupe which was great but didn't fit me with a sunroof. They didn't have a suitable fit in stock but the process from sending a request online, they called back in 15 mins, to trying out some cars and then deciding they didn't have one we liked was pleasant, cordial and will be a place I look again in the future. Nikki called us to ask how it went the following day. Doesn't sound remarkable does it but compared to the same process we had at Bell Ford , Arrowhead Hyundai, (OMG bad) and Chapman BMW( OMFG) it was head and shoulders above the rest. read more

If I could give a 0 star review, I would. Bought a 2020 Honda Accord in March of 2020. The actual buying experience was decent..about par for the course for any car dealership. I knew what I wanted, negotiated a fair price and was in and out of the dealership fairly quickly. That's when the whole thing fell apart. I was told I was able to come and replace my dealer financing with my credit union's better rate if I came back within 3 days. I came back in two. The dealership had me site through another set of paperwork, which I expected and once again, went quickly and easily. 3 weeks go by and I start receiving statements from the wrong bank. I call.."No worries, Mr. Rubel, it's just the bank sending out statements electronically...your loan was recorded...it's impossible for us not to do the right bank if you brought us a check and signed new title paperwork (which I did)" Nope..recorded loan from wrong bank. Go through 3 levels of management who all accept zero responsibility and offer zero apologies. Won't lift a finger to help. Offer to give me back my credit union check which someone threw in a file with no intention of recording. Unbelievable management culture of dis-information, cover up and arrogance. Do not, under any circumstances, buy a vehicle from this dealership and expect back end support. Clients are valuable until they sign, then they become someone else's problem. read more

I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Or at least between oil changes. Living up to my Fast and the Furious dreams as a child I bought another car and have babied this thing since I got it. I thought I'm going to the dealership for everything that goes wrong with this guy and even the oil changes. I made my appointment online and told them my preferred method of contact was email. So I get a wake up call at 7:00AM on Monday morning telling me my appointment was at 10:40AM. Okay, guess I'm going into work late today. Dropped my car off and about an hour and half later it was finished. The guy I talked to was totally cool and their staff that I encountered were all friendly. My only reason for giving this three stars was their car wash. My car was pretty clean but a bird had defecated on the side of my car so when offered to wash it for free I thought "Why not?" Now I know. My car looked like it went through a gang bang of garden hoses. It was still wet when they brought it to me. There were water spots all over the damn thing. I was pretty upset with that and had to get a professional wash to get that thing back in shape. TL;DR Cool people, but don't accept their free car wash. I'm sure there is a fundraiser carwash at your local 7-11 that can do a better job. read more

We'd not bought a new car in more than 20 years and found ourselves looking for a new Honda Civic. After searching online and expressing interest in one at Arrowhead Honda we were contacted via email, text and calls and quoted an "internet price" for the model we were interested in. When we visited we were helped by Charlie A. who already had the quote we'd been emailed. Charlie was very helpful but completely low pressure. He asked a few questions to understand what we were looking for and showed us each of the cars we asked to see. Charlie could not have been more patient as we tried to decide what car we really needed, test driving a few. Once we decided to buy, the purchasing process was quick and painless. The price we were quoted was honored with the "Arrowhead Advantage" service package and there were no additional unexpected charges or attempt to up-sell. Once we took delivery of the car, Charlie took the time to go over all the working features of the vehicle and to ensure all our questions were answered. A week later, when we returned to have the alarm activated, Charlie also had the car washed and took the time to explain how to understand and work the alarm. In the interim, Charlie called to ensure all was well and that we did not have further questions. Our experience at Arrowhead Honda turned out to be an advantage for buying a new car over a used car (what we typically do). I gotta say that my wife and I were pleasantly surprised with what a great experience we had shopping and buying with Arrowhead. We got a great deal and a stress free process that was relatively quick. Brian and Dino were especially great to work with there! Minor nit like getting home to find the DVD headphones weren't in the car? No problem, Brian shipped new ones right to our house! And we couldn't be happier with the 6K mile `09 Odyssey Touring that we bought from them. We have a pair of Acura MDX's that we love and never had any issues with (even with 186K miles on one of them). But finally had to graduate to a mini-van with the kids, wagons, strollers, etc. all becoming too much for an SUV to handle. We have to drive past 2 other Honda dealers to get to Arrowhead, but it was worth the trip. I'd been to almost every other Honda dealer in the valley this past month looking at Odysseys. I was in my mind mislead/deceived and flat out lied to by one of their fianance mangers..Went back to the dealership the next day after speaking with a couple representatives over the phone and they actually redid the contract, removing the item that I had been lied to about. Today a week later, I received a call/voicemail saying that they had processed the wrong (original) contract. I returned the phone call within 10 minutes and still have not received a call back almost a day later. Reviews for this dealership seem good but I have never had more of a bad experience purchasing anything. As of now nothing has been resolved and I have no idea what is going on. To top it off I was called by the finance person that had lied to me, which is really irritating after the dealership knew how I felt about this individual.. ** Update two days later I finally get a call back, once again from the individual that had lied to me originally. Now due to their error I am expected to make a payment $25 higher than the revised contract monthly payment. They are suppose to send money to the lender, I have asked for documentation to the fact. I do not trust this individual nor do I have any trust in the dealership when it comes to ethics. read more

I was pleasantly surprised how great my car buying experience went.... I was really on the edge about moving up from a car to a Mini Van... I tried out 3 different companies and loved the Honda Odyssey... My sales rep Eddie C. was awesome!! He wasn't pushy and listened to my needs... He did not even try to close me. I told him that I needed to bring my husband back and I wanted to try out the Nissan Qwest and Toyota Sienna. He said no problem and still treated me great. I went back and purchased my car from him 2 days later. He stayed late for me and took his time. No pressure and remembered my motives and needs that I told him from the first time meeting him. It was an absolute pleasure working with Eddie. Also, the finance gentlemen Robert was nice as well... And Craig took the time after hours to go over the warranty information. After more than one hellish experience at Bell Honda, I decided to try my luck with Arrowhead Honda when my 2010 Civic sun visor broke (again). I showed up promptly for my 7am appointment and parked in the line of waiting cars in the service department. As the day officially began, several service reps strolled purposefully and kindly to the waiting customers. Within a couple of minutes, the kind gentleman that assisted me was asking if I wanted a free car wash while I was there. After he said he could get the visor fixed and the car washed in less than an hour, I eagerly said yes. I took a seat in the customer lounge and pulled out my Kindle, but there was plenty to keep me occupied even if I hadn't come prepared. Coffee, hot chocolate and pastries were provided as well as the morning's USA Today. Within 45 minutes, I was out the door and back in my newly washed car with a brand new visor. That is how it should always be. If I am ever in the market for a new Honda, Arrowhead Honda will definitely be my choice. Hopefully the Sales department will follow along the same type of experience as the Service department. read more

Went there to have 3 recalls fixed on my Odyssey. Two of them were just to affix new stickers, the third was to change the hook on the middle seats. I was told two hours, no more than 2 1/2. I purchased two parts, one of which was a simple gas cap that they said they would put on. Three hours later, I finally started making a fuss and demanding my car back. Kevin said it was sitting in the back, "the guys" were waiting for it to be washed, not knowing the car wash was closed. Hmmm. They magically brought the keys up right then (I should have complained an hour earlier) and I just hopped in and left. When I got home, I discovered they only fixed the hook of one seat, they spilled coffee or pop on that seat, they did not replace the gas cap and they had the nerve to use MY GAS running the car with the air conditioner at full throttle at the lowest temperature setting the whole time. Probably the entire 3 hours. They used my $3 a gallon gas to keep themselves cool in their own shop. That is unbelievable. I was going to buy a new mini-van here but I think I will wait and buy it in Illinois instead. They are not as lazy and rude there. read more

I scheduled a 10:00am service appointment for B12 work to be done. I arrived a few minutes early, and the work was started immediately. I was told it would take approximately an hour an a half. Everything went smooth as silk and my service technician, "Dan the Man" kept the train on the track. He even carved out a few minutes to counsel with me about the work being done and what to look forward to in the future.
