I've had my oil changed here for several years now, as well as the major scheduled service intervals. Overall this place is just ok. They're a little slow to get to you when you pull up, and many of their service advisors seem to know nothing about cars. The old pickup process involved getting your keys from the cashiers but now you have to remember your service advisor and track them down (hopefully s/he is not on lunch or helping a high maintenance customer at the time) to get your keys. Waiting area is not bad but could use a few extra chairs when things are busier in the winter months. read more

My personal experience on a couple of different occasions at this locations is just that this dealership doesn't seem to appreciate and respect the customer. It doesn't seem to matter if we were holding our medically fragile 2 year old in our arms when the service guy started swearing or if we are with our SENIOR CITIZEN parents and they are trying to buy a car and the salesman Johnny is so rude and ugly to them that they ended up leaving. Both times management of course said how sorry they were but the excuse was always "they are going through a tough time in their personal life right now". I get it, we all have a bad day but the common denominator is management is allowing this behavior because they are allowing these excuses to be ok. I say they need to have a training for employees on how to be present at their job, allow it to be a positive environment where you can have fun and leave your personal stuff at home. I was told many years ago that the company I was working for was "renting my behavior" while I was working. Maybe Arrowhead Honda may need to consider and share that. Personally, the the horrible behavior I just experienced has allowed me to decide on a Toyota Highlander rather then the Pilot or any other Honda. We purchased the Highlander a couple of weeks ago and love it. Next is getting rid of my husbands Honda. So sad we have such a continued bitter taste in our mouths over Hondas because of 1 dealership but it was and continues to be THAT BAD!!! read more

If buying from them, check for the following SCAM areas prior to signing that great big long contract. You think you have hammered a deal, but the actual deal is on the big contract. 1. Document fees - $409 (All dealers I have dealt with have them, but NOT $400 worth! 2. Data dots - what are these? Micro dots on car parts supposed reduce theft. $995 3. That extra little sticker for dealer add one to greatly increase their profit. When starting negotiations they will tell you those are waived. But as you negotiate, those are taken off the table without mentioning it and added to that big contract you sign in the office. The back of the contract tells you that you have to pay no matter what was said before. You sign, you pay. read more

This dealership is terrible. They raised the interest rate on my grandson 2 days after the sale was completed. He is in the military but they removed the military discount. They have no respect for our soldiers. They lied to make the sale. Dealerships like these give auto dealers a bad name. I would never go there. January 2018, I purchased a vehicle from Arrowhead Honda. Staff was kind, polite and easy to work with. If you are financing, when you close the deal with management, make sure the interest rate and terms you agreed on gets passed along to the finance person correctly. The vehicle manager told me I would have no problem getting the rate we discussed but when I went to finance to deal with paperwork, the rate was a percent higher...so make sure you review everything before signing...glad I did. After a horrific potential buying experience at Right Honda, I decided to call the closest non-Auto Nation/Van Tuyl/Penske Honda dealership I knew of, which was Arrowhead. I spoke with Craig, told him I had been jerked around at Right Honda, and told him exactly what I was looking for. Within 2 minutes, he gave me all of the information I needed and we made the drive over from Scottsdale. He was there to meet us in the parking lot. He put us at ease, cut right to the chase, and I never had a manager or anyone else come to the cubicle. It was Craig throughout the entire process. I mean really, One guy was mad because his battery wasn't covered under warranty...In Phoenix, really? Really? Get ready to replace your battery every 18 months. That's just the way it is here. Onto my review. We have now bought Honda numbers 3 and 4 (on the same day). The process was smooth as smooth could be. I took the approach of "give me your best price and I'll either walk or buy". I made it perfectly clear that we were well qualified and I didn't want them to waste my time. I told them not to insult me be coming back with a different price if I get up and walk. So we came down here looking to get a new Honda Civic. The girl that helped us was very nice, I think her name was Mary Lou. But the sales manager who came out was a jerk from the start. We haggled a little and finally he told me he could get me the price I wanted but only on the car in stock, which wasn't the color I wanted. I told him no thanks because I'm in a position of WANT not NEED and he got real unhappy. They had our keys from checking our trade in and when the girl went to go get them, we saw him throw the keys across the table and watched them hit the floor. Look, I understand you're disappointed that you couldn't talk me into taking a car I don't want. But there's no reason to be a jerk. And honestly, he was a jerk the second he started talking with us. Such a bad experience. Purchased a new Civic, during the process of buying it I asked if I can get dark tint. They informed me I can get as dark as I want. Later during the purchase process they informed me that they don't offer anything, not even to purchase, other then what comes on the car. I called a couple days layer, talked to service department and their tint specialist informed me that they indeed DO offer as dark as limo tint (for back of car). So I was just bluntly lied to. Then we were told we get 1 year of oil change from salestaff, at the end we confirmed with the fiance guy and he said we do get it. Well we don't. It's not to big a deal, oil changes are the most expensive thing but it's still a lie. Then I was informed if I give them a perfect review on the survey they would provide me with a single free service worth $100 (so like oil change rotations and the such I guess)... Yet when I brought up the tint again they then said, "Who told you we don't offer darker tint, because we do?"... It was HIM as well as 2 other people that said they didn't! My car was also damaged when I got it (new car with scratched bumper and chip on passenger door). They did fix this but it took a while and wasn't convenient since they said it had to be done in one day to prevent some extra paperwork I guess. I would have rather they fix it before I took the car home to begin with... Anyway sad that I had such a bad experience, I should have went to the further dealership offering more items (door film and handle protector and bumper protection) but I decided to go to Arrowhead and pay $300 MORE on my car for convenience of not having to drive to Scottsdale... read more

I took my son to Arrowhead Honda in Peoria to purchase Honda Civic for him, the sales personnel ( more than one, including the finance person, lied to us) first lie; they promised us one-year free oil change, but they denied it after the purchase was finalized. Second, lie; they lied about providing dark window tinting at their service shop, my son wanted to have the rear window tinted darker, but we found out their shop does provide that service later on. third lie; I would call it deceiving where they were the only location had in their inventory 2 not only one blue color civic which was my son's choice but other Honda location were not able to find it on their inventory because Arrowhead Honda management was hiding it since they knew we were shopping around and other Honda locations were giving us better price. And to Hydar Al-Alak the assistant floor manager; this is the women who asked for your help with her son. I was very disappointed with your administration and their lies. My son was promised one-year oil change but they denied it even the finance guy said you will get it and I was there, but your people called my son a liar, is this how you treat your customers by calling them, liars? We were lied to about the window tinting, your dealer reputation will be smeared by us to everyone we met and talk to. I want you to let your management know about this message. I stopped taking my Civic for oil change to this dealership a while ago. I have never experienced the simple oil change takes consistently at least 2 HOURS until I came to Arrowhead Honda. On my last visit, I waited good 2 hours AGAIN with my very active toddler and I finally got up and asked how much longer would it take. So my service adviser tells me it is almost finished, but if I want my car wash, it would be another 40 minutes...so I said no thanks and haven't returned since. With my experience, I strongly recommend Avondale Honda service department for better and faster service in much cleaner waiting area. They have time policy that oil changes have to be done within 45 min with car wash. read more

Shame on you Arrowhead Honda! Shame on you Troy. My mother is 79 years old, and went to get a simple oil change. Soon as she got out the car, Troy was pushing her to buy a new car. She is in the early stages of dementia, she was clearly vulnerable. Troy would not accept her No that she did not want a new car. We had a totally fine 2015 CRV. That just needed the oil changed!!! Instead we now have a 2018 CRV. That we did not need, but he pressured her into buying. Shame on you Troy that your parents did not give you better morals. When my mom said NO at 79 years old, you should have respected that. Had you not been so desperate for a sale, that you choose to prey on old people. I went to see about returning the car today, which she had just bought it a few hours before. I was told NO once it is off the lot, it cannot be returned. The ONLY reason I gave 1 star is for Brian Alexander. This gentleman is a Stand Up salesman. My family in the last 10 years had purchased at least 5 vehicles here. When he assisted us, he was ALWAYS HONEST. I wish I could say the same for the rest of them. I have never been so disappointed with a company in my life as I am Arrowhead Honda. Service Area is crowded and all the service people are facing the wall and away from customer. Not sure the logic behind that. Oil change is cheaper when compared to small places like Jiffy Lube, Big O Tires etc. As any dealer if you want them to look at your vehicle for anything (even a small sound) its going to cost $60 minimum. read more

After my sister's nightmare of buying a car, I was very anxious of the process. However, everyone at Arrowhead made the process painless. I wanted the base model knowing my price point went in knowing exactly what I wanted and was not hassled to look at other models. Kevin Anderson was my sales person and he was both friendly and not pushy. The extended warranty process ( which my sister said took an hour and a half) took 5 minutes and there was no guilt trip given when I declined it. Do not go here. They are liars. Let me explain... I shopped around for a week or so and emailed different Honda dealers in the valley to get the best deal. (This is how you car shop, right?) Well Arrowhead Honda offered me the best deal at $320/month. I have an email and a business card with notes on it, both from the GM, Walter, saying $320/month. So I went in to sign the deal. Filled out a finance application online and did the ground work so I could go in and sign the paperwork in 30 min or less. When I went in they made me wait for 35 minutes before a random guy came up and said the deal is $320 plus tax. Walter, who I had been dealing with was no where to be found and never said anything about tax being included. Again, I have multiple things proving he said $320/month out the door. So sad that the GM of the dealership treats customers like this. Don't trust Walter Save yourself the time and frustration and go somewhere else! Update in response to the dealership's below response: I was never told my quote was PLUS taxes. I have emails and written down records from your GM stating $320 month. Why would I think to add another 8% in taxes on top of this? Every other Honda dealership in the valley quoted an all inclusive price and your management team lied about this. I don't like to leave a review like this. However when I feel it necessary to let others know my experience I think it's important. Personally I learn my lesson about financing through the dealership rather than with my own bank, but we thought we would give them a chance. Experience so far has been terrible after seven days we had to come back to the dealership to sign more paperwork for a different lender after signing a contract originally. We have excellent credit in the 800s And would've had no problem financing through our own bank. Now we are waiting for the dealer to pay off our existing loan for a trade-in because they forgot to sign the check. The only time I've ever heard of somebody not signing a check is if they don't want that money to come out of their account, nowadays how is that even possible??? I've now had to make a payment that I did not have to make a vehicle that I no longer have. Not happy here. If I ever go back to the dealer I will definitely only speak to Matt Thorpe and will come with my own financing. Original salesman Chris was pushy and very predictable in his sales tactics as a typical salesman usually is ("Especially since you're not putting and money down" hint hint) it was pretty ugly. read more

I bought a new car here out the door, you have to be on your feet or your gonna get screwed as any dealership will get you. I went thru the fleet services, saved thousands. I've been going here since 2000 and don't have too many complaints. The number one thing is you have to go in with coupons, try all the service advisors until the right one fits you , then hope they dont leave to another dealership. Negotiate everything and get as many discounts as possible. Then when they forget who's the boss, go to Bell Honda for a few months. Tell Bell Honda your bad experience and they will give you more discounts. Then you play the same game with them. If they order a car from another dealership, review the costs very carefully and get it in writing what you are receiving and the cost you are being charged. I was charged 4 times the retail list price for accessories. I tried to deal with them once I realized what I got for the money. I paid $780 for all weather mats and the small see through decal under the door handle. Arrowhead Honda said I agreed to the price (the way it was worded was I was receiving trim, mats, moldings). You need to get the receipt and actually look up what you are receiving. Once it is done, you are stuck with the price. I was charged by the sales manager. My salesman was great. read more

Terrible customer service. I went with a buddy of mine because he wanted to get a quote on a vehicle. The salesman seemed very unsure about about his knowledge of the car. Then we go inside to get to look at the price ranges of the vehicles he wanted and the manager comes out. The sales associate was not available after he was the one contacting me all weekend. So I went in looking for a used Vehicle that I could use to get to and from school, and trust me this was not the first dealer that i was at this week. Well I was approched and informed that there was more cars in the back that were for sale. After going to the back I seen this 07 Honda Accord and I asked how much I was told 10000. Once i heard this i was like OK lets get this done. Now before i know it the car is almost 14000 dollars before tax title and licence so it would of been almost 17000 for this car. I tell the guy and he said sorry about that just looked at the numbers and this is what the car is set at. After 2 hours of working numbers with him the manager finally goes to 12200 before the extra cost above and we get the car. I still think that the screw up of the price should of been eaten by them. But wait I'm not done two days later i go to pick up the car get in and guess what one of the doors on the inside is broken. I get with one of the guys there (Because the guy that sold me the car is not there) and say hay this was not like this when i signed the paper work. I was told well sorry can you prove it. I told him to call the guy that sold me the car we went over it before i told him i wanted it. So an hour later and an argument in the lobby over something that should of been fixed when it was brought up it was fixed. The experience that i had there was not good i have bought 3 other cars in different states when i was in the military and not once did not want to go back to a dealership for repeat business tell now. I brought my 2007 Odyssey to them to find out if I could trade it in on something newer. It was burning oil, making clanking noises, and just wasn't running well at all. They couldn't work out a trade, but offered to sell me a 2013 Hyundai Accent, repair the Odyssey at cost, and they would add it to the loan (~ $1500). Well, they screwed me royally. Not only do I have a new car payment, but they refuse to do the work the sales manager Chris Dao promised. Every time I call to speak with someone concerning this, I get transferred around for 10+ minutes and anyone I do end up speaking with knows nothing about it. I bring my car for service here only. Always a good experience. This time however I brought my daughter with me and she is playing in the kids area. The toys are filthy! I got a paper towel we and wiped the toys myself and it was easy to wipe off which tells me that they don't bother to clean them on a regular basis.
