My experience with Peoria Subaru can be summed up as good - not great. Here's what transpired: Built my vehicle @ Subaru's website on 05/09. It was sent to Peoria Subaru. Wasn't contacted by a sales rep. 'til 2 days later. On 05/12 went to the dealership per request of the sales rep., Alan Nestor. Forester Wilderness was being built @ Subaru Factory & allocated to the dealership. Brought my truck to trade-in. Alan assessed my trade & got close to what Carvana was giving me so I was pleased with that. Couldn't get the vehicle exactly the way I built it @ Subaru's website. Vehicle was being built & if I wanted one relatively soon - I was forced to take it as-is. Dealership would not remove any options despite me not needing a $52 OEM Subaru cargo net which is as useless as an ejection seat in a helicopter. Forked over a $1,000 non-refundable depot to Alan. DISCREPANCIES: 1.) Asked Alan for a VIN number. Alan stated car had not even begun to be built yet. Got an e-mail from Subaru of America on 05/13. Called SOA on 05/16 & spoke to Kaila. asked if they had VIN number. She said not only could she give me my VIN number, my vehicle was almost finished being built. 2.) My wife has a '17 Subaru Outback. Asked Alan if there was a discount avail. since I was purchasing my second Subaru. He advised loyalty discount was not in place anymore & Subaru had no intention of reinstating it because "this is just the state of the world we live in now, Scott". During my conversation with Kaila @ SOA on 05/16, I let her know what Alan said. She laughed out loud & apologized about 32 times on his behalf and "is not sure why SOA and these dealerships are not on the same page". Moments later, I had a $500.00 off loyalty coupon sent to my e-mail. 3,) When Alan stated my vehicle had not even begun being built yet, he advised the factory in Japan has been completely "shut down". Joined a Forester Facebook group. One of the admins is the plant mgr. at the Subaru factory in Lafayette, IN. She also apologized on Alan's behalf and assured me the Japan factory is not "shut down". They were simply taking off an extra 2 days during the months of May & June. Hardly what I would call "shut down" 4.) Asked Alan about the Subaru Ambassador discount. Alan advised he had no idea what the Ambassador discount was. I brought in the loyalty coupon instead to prove the loyalty discount is still in tact. :) lolol. 5.) Leaving dealership on the evening of 05/12, Alan assured me he would keep me updated every single step of the way. That never happened. In fact, realistically, Alan did not even need to sell me the car. I walked in & knew exactly what I wanted. He never kept me posted. I did all of the legwork myself. I called SOA constantly for updates. He had no idea my vehicle even arrived on 06/03 until I let him know. Maybe Alan was having a few off-days. I have no idea. He never apologized which was upsetting to me. I gave him (and the dealership) the benefit of the doubt when I picked up my new Forester Wilderness on 06-04. He did review the vehicle with me and the finance mgr., George, was incredibly pleasant to deal with. Other than my interaction with George, I don't know if I have super great things to say about Peoria Subaru except that once my vehicle DID arrive - everything went smoothly, quickly and efficiently. But getting to that point and my initial conversations and interaction with Alan left me unimpressed. I believe he could benefit from a few Customer Service 101 training sessions. He seemed to over promise and under deliver basically everything that came out of his mouth on 05/12. The only thing he did adhere to (and maybe most important) are the final numbers in which we agreed upon. I was pleased with that. I'm giving them 4 stars... but realistically, it's a 3.5 in my book. They're 3 miles away from our house which is convenient and the vehicle order was correct, but the interactions from sales was disheartening at best. If 0 stars was possible that's what I'd give this Subaru location. You couldn't pay me to go here again, NOT EVEN IF THE CAR WAS FREE. This was my 2nd car I've ever purchased and my first car ever from a dealership. First off - They did not provide me with proper paperwork therefore my vehicle had temp plates for MONTHS. Second off- They made a massive mistake and take no ownership in doing so. As mentioned this was my second vehicle, therefore I had previously had a vehicle loan. HOWEVER when the sales associate Savannah was helping me she said that was untrue. Savannah stated that it was a personal loan and therefore I would have to take higher APR since I've "never had an auto loan" I tried to tell her I had but she insisted I hadn't and that the credit union I had the loan through had said it was a personal loan. I believed her, I didn't think such a huge mistake could be made on their end and although I was rather certain it was an auto loan they insisted it was personal. When they took my trade in they told me I couldn't have anything out of my vehicle as that would create "after market issues" and things wouldn't be OEM. They must be highly uneducated or just thieves that wanted the aftermarket items because not a damn thing on that vehicle was OEM. The many times I have had the unfortunate need to reach out to them... Your staff is rude unless they want something from customers such as a sale. Robert in finance needs to learn a little bit about customer service or stop taking his personal problems to work because you have a BAD attitude. You stated someone would call me back, then you called me back, I called you back and now nothing....? If you don't like doing your job then you should quit and find something more fulfilling for you. You may have decent google reviews but I'd advise consumers to review their yelp as well because the proof is in the pudding there. Good luck with your poor business standard and lack of interpersonal skills. I'm sure ya'll will hit me with the standard "Please contact to resolve these issues" however you can keep your too little too late apologies - I will NEVER do business with you again and I will continue to advise local friends and family to avoid you guys at all costs. read more

I bought a new Forester in March of 2024 with two years of maintenance included. During my last service appointment in March of 2026, I was told about differential fluid changes which were suppposed to have been done at 18,000 miles or 18 months. Also included in the paperwork I received after that appointment was information about the effect of Arizona heat on car fluids and how differential fluids degrade over time due to the heat, oxygen and contaminants, so "time-based service is necessary" regardless of the mileage (my car has low mileage). When I called to ask why I was not told my fluids needed changing at 18 months, the service agent was very impatient, condescending and hung up on me when I asked to speak with the manager. Very disappointed with my experience at this dealership. My family and I will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

The service department are crooks, they charged my daughter for two oil changes because they inspected the vehicle after doing the oil change and then in the inspection found the oil pan was leaking, this is fact its on the invoice. They also replaced very costly parts that were warn and I believe should not have been replaced. When I confronted them over the phone (damage was done my daughter already agreed to pay them) the answer from the manager was "if you didn't want your daughter to get taken at his shop you should have brought the car in yourself" They even charged again for the gasket that was just replaced! This is a 2020 with 50k miles and the bill was $3k. If they're not crooks I would strongly recommend avoiding Subaru! read more

Better mechanics who tighten the oil plug, who don't splash oil under the car and who give accurate diagnosis - seepage from the cam carriers is NOT a leak. $4750 to repair something that's not really an issue. The highlight of our visit was working with sales rep David Cerna. He was very knowledgeable and customer friendly!! Earlier a text from Aspen said that they would match or beat any other dealer offer. We asked David to match the offer from AutoNation Subaru. He took it to the sales manager and the sales manager promptly told us that he wasn't interested in our business. Not friendly and he certainly didn't back up Aspen's promised to meet or beat another dealers offer. We went to AutoNation Subaru in Scottsdale and got the same car for $2000 less. Don't buy a used vehicle from these guys. They will sell you one that they know has problems, as long as the problem is intermittent enough that they think they can get it sold and through its 15-day Lemon Law return period before the problem shows up again. Here's how I know: I traded in my 2016 Ram truck to them for $1,500 because I was having problems with it and they swore it was nothing but scrap. They posted it for sale immediately for $18,995. Per the Carfax, they didn't do anything to it mechanically except change the oil. I think the truck is going to give its next owner nothing but problems. I wish I'd read the Yelp reviews before I went there. Here's the background: I had a 2016 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel truck, VIN ending in 341029. It was my only vehicle, 9 years old with just over 73,000 miles on it, when I started having problems with it. Long story short: the check engine light came on 9/5/25, I had it repaired at Bill Luke (replaced fuel injectors and EGR cooler under warranty, took 10 days, had to rent a car, and they said parts for this engine will stop being made next year). The check engine light came on again on 9/30/25 and Luke just turned the light off and said to see if it comes back on. When you turn off the check engine light on this truck, it takes about 2 weeks of driving it before the computer monitors reset and the light comes back on. My tag was due 10/15/25, I couldn't pass my smog test due to the check engine light, so I couldn't get the truck tagged, and I didn't want to drive with an expired tag. I was getting increasingly desperate, but I still had hope that the truck could be fixed. The check engine light came on the 3rd time on 10/14/25. I decided to try a different dealership for repairs, so I made an appointment, and I also decided to look at Subarus at the dealership across the street. I wish now that I'd never set foot in Peoria Subaru / Moore Chrysler Jeep. I test drove a car, then sat down with the salesman to see about pricing. He asked to look at my Ram truck as a trade-in, and I said OK, I was curious about what value it had. We talked about the check engine light, and I told him I had an appointment to get it fixed. After they looked at it, another salesman, Shawn, gave me the hard sell. He said the truck was scrap and they couldn't give me more than $1,000 for it. He said he'd checked with their Jeep mechanic and based on OBD codes, the recent work, etc., it probably has metal shavings in the engine and would need a new engine, and the truck isn't worth that. They would auction it for parts. I told him I was going to have it fixed, but he said the other dealerships were just stringing me along, replacing parts under warranty bit by bit until the warranty ran out. That sounded plausible to me. I thought about the money I'd spend on rental cars with the Ram in the shop. My mind was clouded by concern for my Mother's health (she had a heart attack in July and needed me to take her to many appts) and my need to have a reliable vehicle. I was in tears. The idea of buying a new car and ending all this running around, trying to get repairs done on the Ram, sounded very appealing. I was so tired. So they wore me down and I made a very bad decision. On 10/14/25, I bought a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek Premium from them for $33K (I like the car, though the price wasn't good and I wish I'd bought it elsewhere). They "generously" gave me a whole $1,500 for my "scrap" truck. I truly believed they'd send the truck to auction, so I was shocked when I saw that they'd posted the Ram for sale on their website for $18,995. The photos show the check engine light is off, but if nothing has been fixed, I believe it will come back on after about 2 weeks of driving, just as it did for me repeatedly. In the research I've done on the Ram since, I believe their assessment of it as scrap is correct. This 2016 EcoDiesel engine has a bad reputation. They do get metal shavings in the engine when the fuel pump disintegrates. The recent work I had done doesn't show up on the Carfax, so the buyer won't have a heads-up that the truck has had problems recently. I emailed Peoria Subaru with details of my attempts to repair it, so it would be in writing and they couldn't say they didn't know. I gave them multiple chances to explain to me how this is not the scam it appears to be, and they refuse. Chris Donevski wants to talk to me only by phone or in person (I think they're afraid to put anything in writing) and I don't believe a word they say, so I will only communicate by email. They have zero empathy or ethics. One of the papers that you sign when you buy a car from them says: "I understand that verbal promises by the salesman are not valid. Any promises or understandings not specified in writing shall not be binding upon MOORE AUTO GROUP." These guys give Subaru a bad name. They should be selling Yugos. read more

Get everything the sales rep and finance person tells you in writing! Sales and finance department have no idea what they're doing. They don't know what the warranties they're selling you or what they even cover. They'll tell you how certain warranty packages will cover all this stuff but it actually covers nothing when you call to file a claim and your SOL. So don't waste you're money on all the extra BS warranties. If you do, take your time and read through them and ask questions. Again, document everything and get everything in writing. The service department isn't terrible but sometimes to have to explain things to the them a couple times but one of the better service departments out there. Vehicle was amazing the three years I owned it before upgrading to a bigger vehicle. Sales and Fianance need work. Service department is good. read more

I no longer take my car for service here. They tried to sell me something I already had done, when I told them this I was told the service manager would call me, he never did. They lack attention to detail. I had my cabin filter replaced and the mechanic left a mess on the passenger side floor mat. I got my oil changed and the mechanic did not put a change oil reminder on my windshield. That may seem petty, but it shows a lack of paying attention. I don't trust Peoria Subaru with my car. I now go to Subaru Autonation where they have not tried selling me something I already had done, or sell me something I don't need and they pay attention to detail. read more

I attempted doing business with this dealership. It was going to be a little tricky as I live a couple hours distant and would have to supply info via the phone. They had an auto advertised at a discounted price. I had a trade vehicle that I had researched its value utilizing the standard KBB tool online. KBB gives a range of value that normally encompasses a few hundreds of dollars based on condition, market value, trade in, private seller/buyer, etc. Additionally, Peoria Subaru also does an online appraisal as part of the buying process. Anyway, I entered my info and their site (Peoria Subaru) spat out a really fair price so I entered the serious portion of the buying process. I was contacted by a sales associate on a Tuesday. I submitted my offer and provided more information such as DL, registration, etc. No subsequent contact from dealership for twenty four hours. I texted several times inquiring if there was any progress in making a deal. No answer. No call back. Crickets. Two days later I'm still waiting. I text again and also commented on their lack of communication and my disappointment. Eventually I get a text from a sales manager telling me the appraisal of my trade. Their appraisal now was literally $6600 less than their enticing offer initially. I texted back that it seemed as though I was being a victim so to speak of a classic "bait and switch". Sales manager texts me back and tells me that it wasn't bait and switch at all and that their initial website offer was covered by the good old fine print disclaimer some place on that web page. So. This sales manager was unprofessional. Not customer service friendly or oriented. There could have still been a deal somewhere in that mess. His lack of negotiating skills and the zero professionalism of his team probably contributed to the problem and ultimately led to me searching elsewhere. Don't go here. Don't buy here. There are three or more other Subie dealerships in and around the Phoenix area. I didn't learn my lesson from an earlier purchase from 2015. Bought a used Subaru from Peoria. Staff was very freindly and professional. Took the used vehcile home and had another Subuaru Dealership do a used car inspection. Found intial 6K worth of worh, gasket leak, bushings AC issues. When I called Peoria they advised there were no leaks and the other dealership was doing me dirty. Come to find out, in the intial vehicle inspection done by Peoria there were leaks that the other dealership screenshotted from the Peoria video, proving they had the leaks when I bought it. Peoria refused to talk to the other dealership and kept telling me I should have called them before. The other dealership refunded 2K to keep my business and give Suburu a good name. I am dissapointed in how the whole transaction went down. Overall, my intial experience was good. Just not happy they hid behind the law of the used car dealership and stuck me with an additional bill. Before you by make sure you have a copy of the maintence log and the vehicle inspection video. My wife loved my 2021 WRX so much that she wanted the automatic version of the same car (different color, tho). We went back to Spencer and Chris at Peoria Subaru, since I had a positive experience with them. The car she wanted was a special order. They took care of the factory order, and we gave the deposit. Unfortunately, it took five months for the car to be built, and we moved from Arizona to Florida in the meantime. Finally, the car was ready and at the dealership. The long distance transaction went very smoothly, using FedEx for the paperwork. Subaru of America got involved to help coordinate the delivery of the vehicle on an auto transport from Arizona to Florida. Spencer and Chris did a lot of follow up to make sure our many, many concerns were met. I also want to mention that the supporting staff that handled the paperwork in the back office did so very quickly, and I didn't have to call once to see if things were moving along. As promised, we got our Arizona title mailed in less time than we thought it would take. I've purchased many vehicles in my lifetime, and I really appreciate the team effort at Peoria Subaru. When he passed away in 2018, I told the service manager in charge of my account (Corey) that I'd never taken care of a car on my own. He has more than demonstrated that I can trust them to do what I need to keep my car in good shape. It now has 112K miles on it; I feel safe and never have to worry about being upsold on services. This is unlike what happened to me when I lived in southern CA for a year. The dealer I was patronizing was always trying to sell me more things I "needed." I'd ask Corey when I would come back to AZ and he'd say no, not necessary, with details on what I do need. I realize I could probably go to an independent repair shop and pay less, but I feel secure and grateful for this dealership. They've always had my back. read more

I reached out to this dealer about pricing and availability for Outback Wilderness models via email. Their "internet manager" Faryn Shrum responded. I made it clear I am comparing across dealers, looking for a specific model and I am ready to purchase from vehicles on hand and have no interest in their financing, buying dealer add-ons or other nonsense. I just want to make a deal for the car on hand and nothing more. Quick simple and fast. I already own 2 Subarus with my last new Subaru purchased in January of this year. I've purchased all of my vehicles in the last few years over the phone and email. I don't walk in to dealers nor care to participate in the car sales game. So far, I've received a variety of spam type marketing emails from Faryn and sparse responses including smiley face emojis. What I haven't received is my direct questions being answered - Price breakdown, trade in, total price with our without a trade in, taxes and all the other questions and answers you'd expect to get from a dealer. All of these questions have been ignored. All that Faryn has done is confirm one stock number is already reserved, two other stock numbers are available and wanted to know if there were others vehicles I would be interested in while still completely ignoring my questions. Went there today to discuss trading in a vehicle and to purchase a brand new Subaru Ascent Touring. The salesman really wouldn't talk to me and when it came time to fill out their information sheet, he gave to my other half. Not usually an issue but we were trading in my vehicle that's in my name and the new vehicle will also be only in my name, so don't ignore me. I took my Forester in for service due to a check engine light. Since I was dropping it off for service I asked for the 30k service as well. I was quoted $1400 for a 30k service. . I left the car at the dealer (was in a hurry to go to a game) then called around for a second quote. Called Surprise Subaru got a quote of $595 for the 30k service. I canceled my service at Peoria and was just going to get the check engine light addressed. About 20 mins later Robert (Peoria) called to tell me car was out of warranty and investigating check engine light would not be covered. (They did not even investigate to find out what was error code). I told him not to perform any service I would pick up my car and bring it somewhere else for service. I had my car serviced at Surprise dealer. 1) check engine light was due to temp sensor which was covered under the power train warranty. 2) Also had some bad cells in my battery...covered under an extended battery warranty the original owner had. 3) 30k service cost me $595. 4) Finally, the tread on my tires showed wear and would need replacement soon. So I decided to just go ahead and replace all 4 tires. Bottomline: The greedy dealership with poor customer service got $0, lost a customer, missed out on 2 warranty repairs, 30k service and 4 new tires! Bought a vehicle through them and it was an okay price. Since then, I do NOT recommend getting service through them. Severely over priced. I was shopping around recently for a new Subaru, when I got a call from them saying I requested information. When at the time all I did was look at their inventory and type in NO information. Since then, I located a vehicle I was interested in and requested information and the vehicle was sold. After a headlight assembly recall, my vehicle was returned to me with half working headlights. To note, I have aftermarket headlights and turn signals. They decided to replace my turn signals to oem and keep my headlights how they came in. However in the process blew a fuse and kept my aftermarket turn signals. After calling Subaru and explaining, they had no answer for letting my car leave with non-operational headlights. All I asked for was my turn signals and a fuse to replace them back. Today I came to pick them up and found them locked in a drawer because my service advisor was not there. Now I have to wait until 7am Monday to inquire if they are in the locked drawer. All I am asking for is some extra effort to make this situation right after their mistake. Keep the turn signals and the fuse at this point. I was 100% ready to purchase a Legacy today, only to be completely insulted by the amount offered for my trade. My blood pressure was off the chart when I saw that the initial offer was $4500-5000 less than KBB, Edmonds and Carvana trade-in quotes. Buying a car has always been stressful, but does it really need to make you leave feeling icky? I'm sure that they'll continue to sell cars because it's Subaru and they sell themselves. We went in fully prepared to purchase a vehicle. We had worked with a salesperson there previously so we walked in and asked for them specifically. While we waited, we witnessed the woman at the front (along with another employee) laugh at a customer who didn't speak English. They found a sales person who spoke Spanish to help them and then proceeded to laugh for several minutes about it. Apparently, their casual racism took presidente over paging our salesperson because we had to contact them personally as they were never paged. Cut to: Finishing up a test drive with the car we wanted to buy. We were stuck in traffic when it started smoking. We remained calm and assumed the best. However, it turned out that someone in their service department had forgotten to place the cap back on the oil. When we got back to the dealership there was oil all over the motor as well as everything else under the hood. The salesperson immediately got their manager who went and spoke to their service department. Within three minutes the two of them decided that it wasn't a big deal, the motor was fine. Nothing to worry about or report. I'm sure they'll happily sell that car to some unsuspecting customer with a smile on their face. My husband attempted to voice his concerns over the possible damage to the vehicle as well as the safety and well-being of his employee, but the manager dismissed him and we left. TLDR: If casual racism, inattention to detail, and morally questionable sales practices are your jam, this is the dealership for you. read more

Quite possibly the worst sales staff, only after the Nissan dealership on Bell Rd. The sales man couldn't hold a conversation and was one of the most awkward people I've ever encountered. When he did speak, he stared over my shoulder and had 0 eye contact. Don't bother trying an online appraisal, they will make you come in and waster an hour of your time while never coming up with an actual number. The online staff doesn't actually pass your information along or do anything to expedite the process. read more

Scheduled maintenance on my Forester cost me $2,233 to flush the radiator, changed the spark plugs, replace the fluid in the transmission and differential. Nothing was wrong with my car. When I got home my car was dripping fluid. I immediately call the service department and was told that that was normal. I left my car in my garage over the weekend and by Monday there was a dinner plate size puddle of differential fluid on the floor under my car. I took my car back to the dealership and they said that it was probably condensation from the air conditioner. They took the car into the shop and after several hours told me that there had been some spillage of differential fluid when the original work was done, and they cleaned it up and nothing was wrong. After that experience I would not recommend using this service department. read more

If your skin is on the brown side do not go here because you'll get better service at a dealership that is more multicultural and is in an area that serves more people of color. I attempted to get a WRX here and they valued my current car at the time $5000 dollars less than another dealership did where I was able to finance a WRX because I was treated fairly. The difference in experience was night and day as a person of color. read more
