    Cracked exhaust manifold
    Jon S.

So about a month ago, I popped in to check out a truck I saw online. 2012 Chevy CO w/ 226K miles on it. Told the guys I'm a 100% disable military retiree on a fixed income, that I was looking for a truck for camping and hardware store runs (drive it once a week) and they met my price point I offered. They told me about their 100 and something point inspection "so you know it's safe", and so I bought it. They even delivered it to my house. The first couple times I drove it I smelled something, but thought it was the cleaning stuff they used since everything still looked wet and shiny. It wasn't until a couple weeks went by that my 7 yr old said it stunk that I really paid attention and noticed it smelled like exhaust. Well the next time I started it up suddenly the belts are squealing like crazy and it's got a shake that wasn't there before. Took it to a mechanic and $4100 later I have a new exhaust manifold and serpentine belt because they were bad. Now, I only put 200 miles on the truck, and the crack in the manifold was more than 2 inches and discolored like it's been there a while. So either Nissan has such horrible mechanics they didn't find it, or it was intentionally not disclosed to me costing me over 50% of what I paid for the truck. Either way, I wouldn't trust this place to sell me another vehicle or to properly maintenance one. AVOID, AVOID AVOID! Added: 1 week after the initial post I was able to get it in for a bumper to bumper inspection with a Chevy dealer, and there is an additional $4K worth of work needed. NONE OF THESE ISSUES WERE DISCLOSED TO ME. I paid $7K for the truck, and looking at $8300 in work within the first 2 months of owning it.

Honestly, one of the best Dealer out there with Deals that you can't miss. I wanna shout out to Noah and the crew for making this happen. Very polite and straightforward with numbers if you work with them, they work with you. Keep up the good work Noah.

This is the text from Cody Sunday
    Baruch N.

I went online to car guru and I found this Nissan Armada that I wanted to buy so I did an online application. Cody called me and asked if I would do another one and I did. He asked me what were my days off and I told him. They ran it and asked for a co signer so we did that every time I've had to be the one to reach out to them. Well finally Wednesday they finally wanted me to come in, well now I have to go to work and I work out of of town and wouldn't be back until Monday. They never asked me for money for a deposit to hold it. So it's Sunday and I texted Cody to make an appointment for Monday and asked if the vehicle was still available. He said that there was a 9 AM appointment for that same vehicle and did I want to make an appointment for 10 AM? I was furious!!! I asked him why would I do that for, what hoping that the 9 AM don't buy it!! And do what if they do try and sell me a car that I don't want??? So I texted him thanking him for wasting my time. He texted back saying I've done no paperwork to show my interest in the vehicle and I didn't put a deposit down to hold it. I was like really ur going to go there??? When I talked with the financial officer he should have told me that I could put a deposit on it to hold it, but they don't care who buys the vehicle so long as they sell it!!! U don't care about people u care about ur bottom line!!! I will never buy a vehicle from them!!! Do ur research and check reviews before you start buying. I don't care what comments you make look at ur reviews u suck!!!

Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I'm shopping for one. **I tried to scan & copy the actual Invoice from this incident, but for some technological mystery beyond me - I couldn't get this file search in Yelp to access where I am sure I put the two files.**

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

Since I don't drive a lot of miles, I wanted a second opinion before spending that kind of money. I heard about Ken's through word of mouth, along with all the great Google and Yelp reviews mentioning their honesty, fair pricing, and no-pressure approach. I'm glad I listened. They performed an oil and filter change and did a complete inspection of the areas the dealership claimed needed immediate repair or replacement. Ken's told me those items were actually fine and showed me the brake measurements, explaining that my brakes still have about half their life remaining. No scare tactics, no upselling -- just honest, straightforward service. The total bill came to just over $100. That alone says a lot about their integrity. I first used Revive Auto Care to replace a control arm on my Infiniti QX60. I found them on Yelp, appreciated their positive reviews, and liked that they communicated over text. That repair went well, so when my AC started blowing hot air, I decided to return. They initially charged me $100 for diagnostics and a refrigerant top-off, then told me I needed a new compressor and quoted approximately $1,200. I dropped the vehicle off on Tuesday. By Wednesday and Thursday, they still had not identified the issue, but they continued replacing parts including the compressor, condenser with receiver drier, premium line kit, secondary rear AC expansion valve, blend door actuator, cabin filter, and recharged the AC system. By Friday, the vehicle was still not repaired, and they ultimately determined that the battery was bad and not providing enough amperage to properly run the AC system. They replaced the battery and told me the issue was fixed, which naturally made me question whether all of the previously replaced parts were actually necessary. The total had also increased to approximately $2,500, and at no point during the process was I contacted for approval on the additional repairs and charges. When I picked up the vehicle Friday evening, the AC was still blowing hot air. In addition, the vehicle was revving abnormally both while driving and while sitting in neutral. It is now Tuesday, and my messages have gone unanswered. On Saturday, I brought the vehicle to Infiniti for another opinion. I was told that the AC system had been overcharged by 1.73 lbs of refrigerant, which they said was causing the issues I experienced after picking the car up. I understand that diagnosing AC problems can be difficult and unexpected issues can happen, but the lack of communication, failure to request approval for major additional repairs, and returning the vehicle in worse condition than when it was dropped off made this a very disappointing experience.
