We come to this ER often because my MIL insists on coming here, but we hate it. There is zero communication. We wait for hours, getting no updates unless we ask, and still we get little to no information. If we leave, we leave our numbers, but never receive a call. We always have to call them, and still, little to no information. We worry, we miss work and appts, because we just have to wait, and wait, and wait. It's so frustrating. We've been to other ERs where we received regular updates by text. Why can't they do the same? They have terrible customer service! read more

This hospital is awful. Dr Lawrence is extremely rude and uncaring. Er nurses sounded like they were having a party. I talked to another patient when I finally got to the floor who had similar experiences. Dr's don't introduce themselves. One Dr said I had to many tests and tests cause cancer. Go home and see what happens. I'm feeling worse. More symptoms but WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOSPITAL. Please think twice before going here or sending a loved one here. One nurses was great. I'm a former nurse and find the care here to be deplorable. Nurse tossed my ID and insurance cards at me I said that was very professional of you. Sitting here in labor and delivery, 5.5 months pregnant, possibly with food poisoning. I literally just heard a few people joking about someone dying and needing air freshener. Not even trying to be quiet...laughing out loud and everything. Pretty sure it was hospital staff considering how they were talking to each other. Right now, I'm hearing my nurse discuss my case outloud in the hall to I'm assuming the doctor. This place is VERY unprofessional...was going to have my baby here, definitely not happening now. read more

My wife did two NST test here and this hospital was in my insurance network. I got two bill one is from hospital and other from the provider. But I surprised when I saw the bill with full amount since provider is not working with my insurance. I spoke with the hospital billing department they simply escape saying that I'll have to speak with provider. I used services from many different hospital across US and have never encountered such situation before. If the hospital is in-network the provider also should be in same network.... if not they should inform the patient and share the estimate of the cost before giving service; considering the financial burden after the treatment. This test was not emergency case, hospital staff could have discuss the cost and avoid this situation. We would have used another in-network provider to read the test reports. I spoke with hospital customer, also sent a complaint letter but they didn't bother to response from hospital. This is one of the worst experience I had ever.... So we have decided not to take any service from the hospital henceforth also not to recommend to anyone. read more

My husband and I had an awful experience at this hospital. The AC unit was broken and was blasting the air at 60° for days. It was so cold that they had to take our baby out of our room and put him in the nursery at night. We were billed and paid $5,000 at check out... and then received a bill for $12,000 more after we left a few weeks later. Unacceptable and very uncomfortable. What an awful experience. read more

Fuck this hospital. My grandmother has been on her dying bed the last three weeks. My family, who as you can imagine is devastated by her health has been persistent in documenting her care in order to communicate with the rest of our family. We continually have visitors with her to keep her motivated and checked on because of her fear and anxiety about the entire thing. We have been nothing but kind and determined to get her healthy and some nurses make it their personal mission to make this a living hell for us. Consistent ignoring for calls for help and general avoidance ENTIRELY has made this awful for us. My aunt has spent the night with her this entire past week, and just tonight she was ESCORTED out of the building because she wasn't "approved", WHEN THERE HAS BEEN NO ISSUE THIS ENTIRE TIME. I have witnessed minimal empathy or genuine concern from any of this staff. I can say with complete confidence that i wouldn't recommend this place not even to my deepest enemy. Fuck this place and Fuck this staff for making this already difficult experience even worse. read more

Other than the 5 star ER department, this place does an excellent job at being unprofessional and running like a circus. When the doctors here aren't extremely cocky, they're immature amateurs playing Pokemon Go in the hallways. Very unhappy with the way they addressed the psychiatric situation of my loved one and how they let her go without any proper medication or follow up plan. Then she receives this letter saying how "excellence is your goal"? I'm sorry, but Dr. Epstein, Becker and Satapathy proved the total opposite of that. read more

I brought my mom here for emergency help and people at er from nurse to Doctor weren't friendly at all. Came in with an attitude with me I ask questions they said we don't know ask Doctor I ask Doctor he goes it will take 7 hours for me to find out. Twice the nurse couldn't draw enough blood to check the blood results I had enough of it that I ask them to take off the iv and give me discharge papers. This is on March 26 at 10:00 pm whoever was in charge that day. Very bad service. read more

I'm being kind by giving Arrowhead hospital one star and that's because its not an option to give a place zero stars, I have had a couple encounters with this Hospital and I will never return ever again, for one I was given a medication that was on my allergy list someone simply didn't read my chart! On a different occasion I got bit by a poisonous spider and they sent me home saying I had a infection, luckily not long after I went to a different hospital in the valley and they were able to catch it in time something horrible could have happened if I hadn't gone to a different hospital. I do not recommend this Hospital for emergency services to anybody! There are plenty of other amazing hospitals in the valley that can take care of your needs! read more

I hate Arrowhead Abrazo hospital, I've been let down more than once by their incompetant staff. The first time I was sent away when having severe chest pains which only landed me right back there for round two of their incompetence trying to send me away after being sent there with a call ahead to them to admit me by a cardiologist only to have a double cardio arterial bypass graft 3 days later while experience a widow makers heart attack. Today I was scheduled for an outpatient procedure and reassured by the requesting doctor that I'd be out and wont remember a thing. I checked in was told by the radiologist and the RN that they'd be administering fentanyl and volume and I would go down and out quickly for a short period of time and not remember anything. I cried out in pain, begged and pleaded with them to give me more as I was feeling everything and they said that they had given me enough. As soon as the agonizing procedure was over I was suppose to return to recovery for 30-40 minutes. I returned, told them to pull the IV cath out immediately or I'd do it myself. I got up and dressed within minutes of returning to the recovery room. They tried to apologize only to get my palm in their face and I told them not to talk to me. I was told they were getting a wheel chair and I responded with don't do me any favors. I was still crying in excruciating pain as I found my way out the door on my own two feet. My mom was shocked at the commotion as the RN was trailing behind me. The sound of the drill and the agonizing pain will probably forever haunt me. I'd rather die than to ever return to Arrowhead Abrazo again. They only recieved one star from me because I couldn't give them a BIG FAT ZERO as they so caringly deserve!! read more

If I could give no stars, that would be more appropriate for this hospital. Poor customer service and I encountered not one friendly staff while here. Was seen in triage at the OB department and was not even seen by one doctor before being discharged home. Luckily it has turned out to be nothing severe otherwise, I will be the first to sue this terrible hospital. Thank goodness I will not be delivering at this place. I can't even begin to imagine the poor treatment I would receive after my experience here 2 days ago. Don't deliver your baby here. Didn't tell me what was wrong , I went in for ankles legs and arm swelling and numbness , I expressed my concerns they didn't acknowledge them, they didn't tell me anything regarding xray or blood work , or if they would call me with the results. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. I went in through the ER and was seen pretty much immediately. The nursing staff were all great, very knowledgeable, and were always around when needed. My main nurse was Corrin (unsure of the spelling) but she was fantastic! Phil was also helping out and I can not say enough good things about him! Our Dr (unsure of his name) was very thorough, came around often and made sure we understood everything! I'm not from around here and I am pregnant. I had an emergency so I just put Hospital into my GPS and it took me to the Meryvile campus. From there I was transferred here to Arrowhead. What a great place! The property is dated but the staff is AMAZING!!!!!! Such great people! Every RN, PCA, Doctors and even dietary and housekeeping were absolutely wonderful. This review is late as I ended up in a rehab facility for a number of months but getting back to Arrowhead hospital. The emergency room staff was nice, helpful as were the physicians. The doctor sent to for a cat scan. Kevin the cat scan tech was very rude, angry and rough when he turned my arm looking at my iv. Expected me to get up out of my cart far across the room to walk and lie down, I'm on heavy meds I told him it's not good for me to walk across a room without help. Have, been to Arrowhead hospital way too many times. The care has been for the most part adequate or better. Staff have been professional and caring with very few exceptions. So my problem isn't with the hospital staff but rather management. I was admitted for a short time a couple months ago and in the process had a CT scan and MRI. Shortly thereafter I received a bill that indicated a co-pay of $100 for each of the procedures. When I spoke with my insurance carrier they indicated that the radiology department is NOT part of Arrowhead hospital, thus it was the same as going to a free standing radiology practice, thus the co-pay. I understand that in the scheme of things $200 is not a big big deal. It's just the idea of again being screwed by the health care system. I can understand that it may make sense to contract out some services, but the radiology department, that's just crazy. I hope that someone from hospital reads this, because I want to make it absolutely clear, I will NEVER, NEVER, use you hospital again. read more

Took my father to the ER to get some saline. I will say the nurses were wonderful, the ER doctor...turned into a complete donkey derrière! My father has a condition, I am sure this jerk off did not know much about. When my father stated he wanted to go to Mayo and not stay overnight at Arrowhead, because they have all his information and specialize in his condition, since some labs came back abnormal and the ER doctor wanted him to stay overnight for observation, he turned into you know what. He even told my father, if he went home he would die! Needless to say, after a visit to Mayo and retesting the labs, they came back normal. Lesson learned and reinforced by others who agreed it was not wise to go to this place, unless there was a legit medical emergency of life or death. All I can say is, Dr Donkey derrière needs to take his beside manner and shove it right back up from where he pulled it. read more

I've needed this hospital a lot in my life! I've been to labor and delivery here and the ER as both a patient and visitor. I couldn't tell you how much I absolutely confide in this place. I feel like there's more to it than just medical staff. The Dr's actually want to be sure they are finding a cure or a reason for what's happening. The nurses I like to compare to cashiers at stores. Sometimes you get one that has had a bad day. Lol but overall I've run into sweethearts that care and show it. I have even heard them talk to one another like they are friends and not only coworkers and I've even been added into conversations that were between a couple of them. It's a nice place to be and there's warmth that hospitals don't usually have. I thought it was normal until I went elsewhere recently. Worse choice I've made in a long long time. They get 1 star because I can't leave a review without leaving something. AWFUL, BEST PLACE TO GO TO DIE! They claim to be a stroke hospital, they're a JOKE! 31y/o went in by ambulance with obvious signs of a brain bleed, hx of it in family, was ignored for over an hour. Didn't give me a CT until I stopped breathing and found I had blood in my brain, couldn't help me. Nurses were eating at the station, Dr was nowhere to be found in an empty ER (DR MISETT). 2 aneurysms 1 AVM and I had to be flown elsewhere because they aren't equipped (as a stroke hospital) to save me!? Grade 5, I wasn't supposed to live and if I stayed there then I wouldn't have. Terrible staff, zero knowledge (i'm a nurse) and will continue to tell everyone to steer clear from there, they are clueless! I'm a nurse and I am so appalled at the "care" they provide. Gross. I cant say this strongly enough-do not take anyone you care about to this hospital. Their staff is not kind or caring. In fact, they were rude and nasty to my Mother during her stay here. Changed medications without informing us because they didn't carry the exact drug?? Didn't have required medications until 8 hours after my Mother was admitted. Had to use our own insulin because it was ordered but never showed up. When diabetic ulcers bled all over the floor we asked for help and were told-"your nurse is on break." Was told a wound specialist was on her way (after waiting over 15 hours for someone to look at her wounds) only to be told there was "no certified wound nurse in the building until Monday." This was on a Saturday. Took us breaking down and crying to get nurse that used to be a certified wound care specialist to come and speak to us. Unquestionably, the worst hospital experience we have ever had. Have heard a number of my friends have had the same dealing with this hospital. Not sure how they are in business considering the care they provide. read more
