I have gone to Keyhole Security for many years, mostly to have various keys made. I've always been…read morepleased with their fast friendly service. Last week I found a new reason to love this business. Earlier this month I purchased a used Toyota Sienna van from my neighbors. The neighbors lost the spare set of keys so I only received one set of keys. Turns out the key-less remote locking and unlocking FOB did not work on the set I received. This wasn't a crisis but somewhat inconvenient. When I went to the Toyota dealership to have the van serviced and checked out I asked them to check out the FOB to see what is wrong with it. When I went back to pick up the van, the service rep said the FOB was worn out. The price of a new one is $150. I told him I'd just use the key for now. Since I don't feel comfortable with only one set of keys, last week I went into Keyhole Security to get another key made for the van. I also asked about getting a new FOB from them. They quoted me a price of $125 and said they could have it in a few days. I decided to go ahead and order it. When I went in to pick up the new FOB and get it programmed for my van, the service tech checked out the old FOB and said it just needed to be cleaned. I now have two sets of keys and two working FOBs. And that, my friends, is just one more reason to love Keyhole Security in Wenatchee, Washington.

Keyhole security has zero professionalism. After confirming a June 19th install for small business…read moreand home, not only were they a no show but they did not call me back. When I called to see what happened was told there was an availability issue on a camera, they apologized and offered a discount in exchange for sticking with them and rescheduling July 2nd. I agreed. Now Logan called to cancel saying that the tracking for the camera showed eta of July 13th for a July 17th install. I asked for tracking before agreeing to a 3rd reschedule. After avoiding the question multiple times then refusing to provide parts tracking, Logan lost his cool and then hung up on me. I called back and said, ok fine, let's keep the July 2nd for the rest of the job and parts but just cancel the camera. He refused again and refused my business and hung up on me a 2nd time after I then asked to speak with the owner. I called back and spoke with Bob asking for the owner's contact info. in hopes of sharing my situation face to face and trying to keep my July 2nd install for the rest of the project. Again, refused. So, for the first time in my life I am posting a one star review warning the next guy that these guys are not what they say they are. Good with locks but nothing else. Actions don't match promises.

Additionally the prices have gone up by almost double. I had always told Jerry that if he could please wipe my screens and sills I'd be happy to pay whatever the additional charge was. He went from doing it to not wanting to do it to not doing it at all. This winter I had him string some lights and was quoted around 75 dollars to hang one string of lights, when he was finished however he charged me 155 dollars without letting me know the quote had doubled even though he finished in an hour which was his estimate for how long it would take to begin with. Seeing the invoice I was disappointed but I didn't complain because again we had been working together for so long and I just considered the overage a christmas tip. The last job I had him do though was the final straw. I asked him if he could move our wash date ahead by two days because I had multiple reservations for the date we picked a month ago. He said, in no uncertain terms, he could move the date up. Then when we got to the day in question he said that he didn't know how to hang the lights and called me but missed me as I was out of pocket, so the lights didn't get done. Then when I did call him he said he could only wash half of the windows in question because of a time constraint regarding matters that were personal to him. I simply said, "Why didn't you just move me to another day when you could get this all done, or split the job up into two days? He was now telling me he couldn't finish the other two house for another month! Clearly that doesn't work when you have guests checking in who except windows they can see out of after a 7 month long winter with heavy spring rains. Very, very disappointing on top of multiple past disappointments, sky high invoices and a dramatic decline in quality not to mention the personal issues of his life creeping in and a relative sense of complaining quite a bit about the tiniest and most inconsequential things. It's sad to have to part ways with someone I've worked with for so long. But enough was enough.
