I tried calling their office multiple times that day and each of the following days. Every time I called, both during regular office hours and on the weekend, I was shunted off to their messaging service instead of being connected directly to their HVAC team. It was unbelievably frustrating that I could not talk to anyone who could do anything to help, especially during regular office hours. I left a message each time anyway, but did not get a response from a member of the team until four days later. No part of this experience was acceptable. I understand that schedules change, parts don't come in on time, etc, but I cannot understand the lack of communication. I had to stay home the entire day of my appointment waiting for the technician, which disrupted my work schedule. I spent the next day at home too, just in case he or any other member of the team called and was able to make it out then, which meant canceling other plans. The only reason I kept calling after that instead of giving up and finding help elsewhere is because I had already paid over $800 to get a replacement part ordered. All of this happened after sweating through multiple weeks of Patriot's lead time that my girlfriend, our pets, and I spent in the summer heat with a nonfunctional heat pump. Now that I have my refund in hand for their "service", I have sought the assistance of another HVAC service company in town who actually picks up the phone when I call and shows up for scheduled appointments. I will be encouraging my friends in the valley with HVAC issues to avoid Patriot at all costs. I'm at a loss to explain how they're still in business.

My wife and I recently purchased a house and have been seeking bids for electrical work. My wife…read morecalled and set an appointment for 8:00 am this morning. We have an email confirmation for the appointment that say the appointment is at 8:00 am and that the electrician will call us before the scheduled appointment time on the day of the appointment. At 8:10 the electrician had not called and was not at the house so we called to inquire about the ETA. We were told that the electrician had not yet left the office and needed to pick up supplies on the way to our house. We reminded the person on the phone that the appointment was scheduled for 8:00 am and he argued with us. We have the appointment confirmation in writing. What's to argue? It doesn't say, "The electrician will leave at 8:10 to go get supplies for your 8:00 am appt and will actually arrive at 8:30 or 8:45." It says the appt is at 8:00 and that the electrician will call before the scheduled appointment time. Being respectful of people's time is important to us. Setting expectations and then meeting them is a reasonable task for any business. Arguing with customers when expectations are not met is disappointing and unprofessional. We can't recommend them.

I hired them to install a 220v outlet right beside my service panel. It initially took about two…read morehours, including a trip to buy the materials, which seemed reasonable to me. The electrician chose to install a raised electrical box on top of the drywall, which was his preference. It didn't matter to me how it was installed. While installing it, he mistakenly broke two drywall anchors, which left the box a little loose. He told me it shouldn't be an issue and I was satisfied with the job. I get a call from him about two hours later and he asks to come back to re-install the outlet inside the wall because he's concerned that it won't pass inspection or at some point it will loosen and become dangerous. I appreciated his concern and attention to safety and invited him back to re-install it. The re-install took a little over an hour. Like the previous time, I was happy with the job and his level of professionalism. A few days later, I received their invoice and found that they charged me for both the install and re-install and for all the parts from the botched install. I paid the invoice in full and attached a letter to the check explaining what happened. The check was cashed a few days later and the letter was ignored. I think most other electricians would have owned up to the mistake and not charged to return (especially considering that I didn't ask them to come back). These folks do great work, but lost a couple stars for integrity.

Shane was sent to me through AHS home warranty to repair my central air system. He was great! He…read morehad mapped out exactly what I needed and I expected him to return to complete the repair. Unfortunately, AHS decided that Salcido would do the repair. They were okay but weren't as communicative as Shane had been as far as telling me what was going on and how things would be fixed. Salcido finished the job - using a different thermostat than what Shane had installed during his initial visit. The A/C worked so no problem - except it kept switching on and off on auto mode. I thought that the thermostat was more sensitive or something so I didn't pay much attention. Then I got my electric bill and about had heart failure. It was huge! It was nearly double what it had been for the same month during the previous year. Thankfully, I had saved the thermostat that Shane had initially installed and put it back on. No more on and off cycling and no more huge bills! I definitely wish Shane had been allowed to do the entire project. As I write this, it's now three years later and the heat is out. I've done all I know to do and have submitted a claim through AHS again and got the message that Shane will be contacting me for the repair within 24 hours. I will be crossing my fingers that he gets to handle the entire project!

At 4:30 I called him and asked if there was a misunderstanding. He fumbled around with his words and said "ah yeah you were the one wanting cabinet lights" I said yes, along with several other things. He then said "ah, yeah, something came up. I didn't want the job anyway". So this professional idiot couldn't take time to call me and tell me this? I set aside time to be home expecting him to come. Too bad for him. I know several people in the construction industry and I will have NOTHING good to say about Dorsey Electric. He deserves this bad review! Find a different electrician for the job!
