He even checked to make sure the drain line was not clogged, again, something the previous maintenance person failed to do. I tried calling their office multiple times that day and each of the following days. Every time I called, both during regular office hours and on the weekend, I was shunted off to their messaging service instead of being connected directly to their HVAC team. It was unbelievably frustrating that I could not talk to anyone who could do anything to help, especially during regular office hours. I left a message each time anyway, but did not get a response from a member of the team until four days later. No part of this experience was acceptable. I understand that schedules change, parts don't come in on time, etc, but I cannot understand the lack of communication. I had to stay home the entire day of my appointment waiting for the technician, which disrupted my work schedule. I spent the next day at home too, just in case he or any other member of the team called and was able to make it out then, which meant canceling other plans. The only reason I kept calling after that instead of giving up and finding help elsewhere is because I had already paid over $800 to get a replacement part ordered. All of this happened after sweating through multiple weeks of Patriot's lead time that my girlfriend, our pets, and I spent in the summer heat with a nonfunctional heat pump. Now that I have my refund in hand for their "service", I have sought the assistance of another HVAC service company in town who actually picks up the phone when I call and shows up for scheduled appointments. I will be encouraging my friends in the valley with HVAC issues to avoid Patriot at all costs. I'm at a loss to explain how they're still in business.

They sent Phil out immediately and he fixed the scrubber/filter unit (recently installed by a competitor), disconnected a cold air return duct that shouldn't have been installed in the first place and turned on a breaker that was off. The job was done in a beautiful manner and it was obvious the crew was very experienced in this task, even though every single home installation is different - sometimes in complex ways. Including mine. I especially am enjoying two results of their efforts, first is a beautiful and clean looking install, even though there were some serious challenges, and the other result is a fantastic improvement in the way the system got me past a string of over four 105° days right after the job was done. I had a relay in my heating unit go out a week ago, was able to get alpine in on Thursday. Tech was…read morean hour and a half after their estimated time window, whatever it happens. So I show the tech what I believe to be the problem (dead relay causing heating element to not turn off). Alpine Aire serviced this unit in 2021 for the same issue different relay). Okay, easy enough replace the relay and clean up the wiring that melted (the tech missed this by the way). Friday comes, no call or email about the part being available or not. Monday comes, 10am I give a call cause we've been without heat since last Tuesday and there's a holiday coming this week. I'm told "they're working on a quote for you, you'll have it today". 2pm comes and I give them a call again and explain my situation and I really just need to know if they can order the part or not. At this point the part might arrive in a day or two but then I would have to wait until Monday due to the holiday to even schedule install. That's 11 days from when the tech inspected my heater. But thankfully for all involved Alpine Aire called back at around 3 pm and told me they couldn't get the part as it's too old and they recommend a complete new unit. Funny cause when I look at the relay they replaced in 2021, they replaced it with a relay unit that is 100% still available. We've used Alpine a number of times over the years but will not be using them again. Every step of the process was unprofessional and sloppy.
