We tried this place today 06/22/2025 we ordered the menudo and Pozole we got the small cups $12 a piece and it came in a small paper coffee cup hella over priced let me start with the menudo it was very bland and it had overwhelming taste of chitterlings it was suppose to have hominy and tripe it had about to 2 very small pieces of tripe and like 3 kernels of hominy the pozole wow had about a inch of oil floating on the top no hominy and very bland it was suppose to have pork in it all I had was a very large piece of disgusting pork fat if I can give this place a zero I would don't waste you money horrible read more

Not sure why the this is #1 in the reviews except that there is not much in Tulare. I wish there were more mom n pop places but doesn't seem like the city council wants that here. Constant chain restaurants coming in.. anyhow the horchata was probably the best I've ever had!!! Amazing!!!.. but my fiancé had their chilequilles and it came out on the cold side, my daughter had waffle special for $18.95!!! Ouch!!! No kid meals here which was shocking. My New Mexico enchiladas were good. The bill was $70 for three for breakfast!!! Ouch!!! Can't afford that price every weekend and that was just for three. Service was really good Food took awhile which I like as they are cooking it when you order, not very busy so can't imagine a packed house waiting a long time for food. I was at a softball tournament sponsored by Tulare Western High school. We had a morning game break and were looking for a place to have breakfast. My wife ordered the chilaquiles and I had the huevos rancheros. The food was delicious and had great presentation. Service was great, the waitress checked in on us and made sure we had what we needed. The ambiance inside the restaurant was nicely decorated in western theme. Everywhere you looked you saw something tied to the charro life. I would definitely recommend this family owned restaurant. I love this place. I have lived in Tulare for 7 years and the family that owns it have seen my kids grow up. I am kinda picky eater but I never worry about going outside my comfort zone here. Some highlights I would say ... Chiliques and eggs are so tasty. Red or green sauce it's gonna be a great experience! Fish and chips with clam chowder is best in the game! Underrated honestly. Our food was cold. The beans were bland. Chorizo could have been spicier. Nopales and eggs could have used more eggs. Service was not the best. I saw our food sitting on the shelf for a while , which explains why it was cold. It wasn't busy and they had more than enough people working for the customers they had. The chili rellano was excellent! The chef uses large, whole chilis the way it's supposed to be, with quality cheese and flavorful sauce. So we came to this spot by accident. We were going to try this pho place in the same shopping center but it was closed on a Saturday? I'm not familiar with the Tulare area so I didn't wanna keep driving so I just drove around the shopping center and found two restaurants one was pretty busy then this was at the end of the strip. It was open and not busy. We decided to take a try and we are glad we did. The set up and decoration is quite cute! It's cowboy themed so you see cowboy hats boots and faux plants all around. They have like a diner type feel with the booths and the stools up in the front. They serve all the meals all day so you can have breakfast dinner and lunch at anytime. The hostess was a young girl who was nice. We had complimentary chips and salsa that was sooo good! We also saw an array of beautiful pies. They had Apple, lemon, blueberry , pecan, coconut and a flan. If you check in they give you a free slice of pie! They warmed it up and served it with ice cream for me. Since I wanted soup I asked what was good, she said the menudo , posole and albondigas was good and the menudo and albondigas was the super freshest one. I wanted to try the posole even tho the batch was with pork. We also ordered a chicken soup and I thought it was like a caldo de pollo but the said fideo and chicken but it wasn't it was the American version. That was a bummer but my daughter still liked it. The posole was good. Loved the fresh flour tortillas. We also ordered the kids burrito. It was tasty the beans inside were good and I'm not a huge fan of beans. The location is nearby and I had wanted to try for a while. The taco salad was a decent size with flavorful meat. The shell was not soggy and crisp. I wish it had a dollop of guacamole, but the complimentary salsa and chips added to the meal. Service was ok, because the staff was very busy. I saw on an ad that they make their own pies, so I had a slice of peach pie with ice cream. The pie was hefty and reminded me of home. Overall, the appetizer & meal & desert & drink made me stuffed and satisfied. The prices are fair and if you have any questions, please ask the staff.
