Alas that is not uncommon with wax museums so the reason for 4/5 stars. You can breeze through a place like this quickly if you're not stopping to take pics and look over all the sculpts so take your time and get the most out of this. Highlight for us was the chamber of horrors section - which pushed me to 4 stars. The scenes are well lit and the vibe is creepy!! Well done!!

Also a group of parrots is known as a pandemonium. I saw the billboard on the US side of Niagara Falls, so I decided to pay a visit since i have also never seen the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. The parrots were well-behaved and the ones we were allowed to handle didn't bite or lunge. Unsurprising that they are well-socialized given that this business was supposedly built to be a sanctuary for abandoned parrots. I even saw a hyacinth macaw, which most people haven't seen in-person/not on youtube.

The Kingdom starts with some rooms about Niagara Falls history and some daredevils going down the falls. The first room, on the top floor, you enter has live birds, free walking tortoises and amphibians. Up a flight (stairs) and we found many bigger birds. They apparently bite (signs everywhere) and were very loud. The bottom floor is somewhat like a tropical forest with many birds. Very colorful ones. The tour took us about an hour.

We purchased a package that included the Nightmare Experience. Me: chicken, crybaby, scaredy cat, whatever name you have for me, I happily accept. Never liked scary movies; I know what you did last summer, scream and others like that. NO monsters! Every now and then I will try a haunted house because I know without a doubt, they are just PEOPLE dressed in costumes. Before entering we were asked a million questions about our health, including heart issues and seizures. Ok, I'm already scared. The young lady that took our tickets gave very specific instructions. Hold on to each other and follow the tiny red lights on the wall. It is completely dark inside. What!!! We are in line and once the light turns green to go, we enter. Our final warnings are NO hitting or kicking. If we want to end the scare, all we have to do is yell "nightmare"! Really? Well, she didn't lie! It was total darkness! I was scared because I couldn't see any of the scares coming. None of the monsters that jumped out, or spiders that crawled on me, or the jeep that almost hit us. That was pretty cool. AND, we had to military crawl through a tunnel, in total darkness! Just following a tiny red light that guided us. It was a lot of fun, I did NOT let go of hubby. Glad I used the bathroom first. There are minimal gags & props, and more loud legitimately terrifying noises, electric shocks right next to your head, and the props are designed to scare the absolute life out of you, and your only guide is a small red light in the ceiling; so if that's what you're into, then this place is top notch. If however you prefer a more calm, artistic haunted house, with an actor in a vampire costume jumping out in front of you, then this place might be a bit much. Two magicians performed and it was very cool to watch. My husband was even able to participate before we left. The one downside I would note is that this is a child friendly show, which isn't a problem, except you may be put at a table with young children. When sat we were put next to each other causing a party of five to be across from us, they sat the young children at the end of the table, so they could see understandably, but they sat parents down at the opposite end. The family was very respectful, but if you are not a children person, this may not be the environment for you. Over all great show! So powerful!! Stairs can be slippery, wear proper shoes. The top deck, the hurricane deck is super popular, just 20 ft from the bridal veil falls. You get to experience what tropical storm conditions feel like. With winds up to 68mph. Oh and you will get completely soaked!! Ticket prices depend on time of year, End of may for us cost, $23 adults and $19 youth. Worth every cent!!! We were exhausted so instead of walking back we took the Niagara scenic trolly back to the park. A perfect way to save time, great views and learn some interesting facts!
