Sweet stuff bakery has become my official go-to bakery since working in southern Indiana. I'm lucky enough to receive sweets as a gift on a regular basis due to the nature of my career, so I've had my fair share of sampling from Sweet Stuff. I'm also going through Sweet Stuff for my wedding cake toward the end of the year and I have no second thoughts about it. Every dessert I've had from Sweet Stuff has been absolutely decadent. From the Halloween cookies, to the Valentine's cake pops, to the wedding cake samples. Everything has tasted phenomenal and has looked impeccable in terms of presentation. Even the donuts are cute! These are the desserts that I imagine fairies and princesses indulging in, except you don't have to be a mythical creature or royalty to get in on these tasty treats. Have only been once but the yellow cake with chocolate butter cream frosting was the best slice of cake I've ever had (and I've had a lot lol). Frosting was so buttery and sweet and the cake was super moist (sorry if that triggered anyone). read more

We have tried their donuts, puddings, cakes, muffins, etc and we haven't found anything that isn't amazing! I would especially recommend their banana hummingbird cake and chocolate croissants. They have a lot of variety and the staff is always happy to answer questions. We're obsessed. read more

Our family had a Zoom birthday party for my grandson. His mother, my daughter ordered chocolate cupcakes with caramel icing for all participants. My daughter delivered (contactless) cupcakes to every household. Prior to these cupcakes, we've ordered numerous layer cakes from Sweet Stuff and every cake has been awesome. I'm happy to report, their cupcakes are every bit as good as their layer cakes. The cupcakes were moist and very tasty. The caramel icing was delicious without being too sweet. Everything was seamlessly completed with delivery to our venue (Huber's Winery Plantation Hall). Always come here for birthday cakes and seasonal cookies. We especially love the double chocolate cake! They also sell cake portions in a tub when you want a quick fix but don't need or want to buy a whole cake! Find those in the front case. read more

Love this bakery. Quality Fresh product always. I was turned onto Sweet Stuff a few years ago when they had a booth at harvest homecoming. I first tasted the huge oohey gooey cinnamon rolls and fell in love. That is usually what i get from there. The cobblers are wonderful. Just recently purchased a red velvet cheese cake for about $28. In the midst of the quarantine, I decided I needed to grab some sweets for some friends. Are bakeries deemed essential? YES! Thankfully yes! I called around, perused some websites and landed on Sweet Stuff in New Albany. They have their typical menu as if the quarantine wasn't going on and can have it delivered or pick up/carry out. I ordered two boxes of Easter cookies and three cake in a tubs. The Easter cookie boxes came with an assortment of treats that were beautifully decorated in vibrant spring colors. I cannot comment on their taste as I gave these sweet treats to friends for their neighborly efforts in mask making. I also gave one cake tub to a friend for their birthday. The other two were shared and were divine! The fudge frosting was sweet and rich; like fudge. Not buttercream which amazing. (Not a fan of buttercream!) The Orange Dream cake was very good too. I believe there are a little heavy on frosting. Who says there's too much frosting? The cake was moist and sweet. Very tasty. We actually ended up saving the frosting to frost cookies. My experience was so positive, I put in a second order for the Easter weekend. Staff were kind and efficient. read more

How I stumbled upon this gem long ago is quite the story. I was working with my boss at my employer back in 2008. We were going to accounts together and she wanted something sweet. I really didn't know the area well so I suggested Dairy Queen or whatever wastight in front of us. She however had a better idea and directed me to Sweet Stuff Bakery. It was their old location in New Albany, but the welcome feeling you have going in remains in their current location on Spring St. I fell in love that day and have been going for cakes cookies and other treats ever since. This is the only bakery I could find that makes homemade banana cake instead of using flavoring. All the cakes I've tried have always been so delicious and perfectly moist. I love the butter cream topping that just melts on your tongue with every bite. The doughnuts are also very tasty and cookies keep me coming back every time. If you need a cake for a special event they can accommodate you. I've had all kinds of special designed cakes made for different family celebrations and Sweet Stuff has always done the best job with perfecting my design requests. read more

Best bakery hands down! From the delicious sugar cookies to their amazing cakes!! Customer service is top notch! They will always go above and beyond to accommodate their customers. Pricing is very reasonable. A dozen of round sugar cookies with icing are $6.50, with the holiday varieties being $7. Don't forget to try their "cakes in a tub". They are layers of cake and frosting. sheet stuff has by far the BEST German chocolate cake in the world! I love the icing and the cake is just the right amount of moist. They also have amazing cookies! The icing is a perfect mix of chewy/crunchy/etc. it taste just like royal icing but better! Sweet Stuff is truly just all around sweet! We booked them to do our 3-tier wedding cake plus groom's sheet cake for our big wedding initially planned for 7/3/21. They had a lovely complimentary tasting for us (bride, groom, and bride's parents) and everything was so delicious. Plus, they were the best value when all factors were considered like price, taste, design, delivery, etc. Then, the pandemic happened. Our big wedding is now 7/3/22 but we had a microwedding on our original date of 7/3/21. Sweet Stuff said they'd move our original contract no problem and then gave us a free signature cake for our microwedding! How wonderful is that?!? And when I had requests like "can the frosting dollops be placed in a way that tells us where to cut the slices?" they worked with me on that as well. Finally, the cake (and cupcakes we chose to add - those are HUGE) were so delicious and enjoyed by everyone. We can't recommend them enough! read more

It is in a downtown like portion of new Albany so you will need to street park. The few times I've went they have had a board and you punch buggie like car parked right in front of the entrance of this location. So that may be a good guide on where to park. In the past I had sampled some of the charcuterie and the cheeses, nuts and snacks in them are all very fresh and tasty. My wife had mentioned maybe having them cater our next big event. We recently stopped back in as my wife wanted to buy a bottle of a wine. She has never been a big wine drinker but she is starting to dip her toes into the wine world. At events with friends like bunco she has been trying some and likes it. So she came in here a novice looking for a recommendation on a good white wine that is a good start for someone who usually does not drink wine. The lady at the counter brought another gentleman who promptly suggested White Loire wine (vouvray). She gladly took his advice. I'm gonna be honest here for a second. There wasn't any prices listed that I could see. So I was kinda nervous what the damage was gonna be for a bottle. The dude could of really taken advantage of a few wine novices. However when the lady rung us up it was only $26. So not bad at all. The Bourbon I frequent is more than that. So no complaints here. After a few days my wife finally popped the wine cork. Which was a hilarious sight. As stated a few times already. She is new to the wine game. So we didn't have a wine cork. We used a steak knife and a some well timed and maneuvered rotations and viola the bottle came open. She really enjoyed the taste and I took a sample. I'm a Bourbon man and not much on wines. But it was solid. She was extremely satisfied overall. So we had a really god experience and a great customer service experience. They very much could of swindled us or tried and upsell us a crazy expensive bottle and changed the whole experience. Overall really nice place. Good cheese and snacks and a nice wine selection.

This store is small, but it's filled with so much. I loved the balsamic vinegars and olive oils that line two of the walls. Each type is available to sample from large, steel dispensers with a spouts. That's how I fell in love with the raspberry balsamic vinegar. It's sweet and rich, with a bit of tart. The shop owner came over and explained to me how she sources both the balsamic vinegars and olive oils from California. Some of the balsamic vinegars are thick and dark, like molasses. That's because they have been aged for 20 years. Others are much thinner and lighter and are younger. There are benefits to both. Maybe this is a sign of me becoming more refined in my culinary preferences, but I would have never geeked out over some flavored EVOO or BV when I was younger. In the past, those were the cooking ingredients relegated to the back of the cabinet or as the almost silent back-up singers of a dish. But I've grown to love tasting all the varieties and learning how best to use them, such as in cooking and on salads or even drizzled over ice cream. The Olivet also has a wall of spices, including special spice blends. These. Smelled. Amazing. Can't wait to try the "Napa Valley Blend" I came home with. This shop also sells lotions, body products, artisan chocolates and other bits of delight. I could tell that the owner is passionate about what she does and sharing it with others. I've ordered from here many times and the taste is always great but when it comes to cakes, they unfortunately lack any creativity unless you give them a photo to copy from. Most recently ordered a birthday cake in advance with white icing and asked to use color. We got happy birthday in a super pale yellow and that's it. No flowers, no swirls, no sprinkles, no dots, nothing. You can't even read the yellow is so pale. I didn't walk in and ask for whatever they had, I ordered in advance so I wish they would have asked if we wanted any of these extras. I assumed asking to add color would mean something more.
