Got my nails done and was apparently given the person who only does pedicures. when I told them who did my nails they said "NEVER AGAIN"they laughed and continued to talk about other clients they let this woman do and mess up their nails......cracked two nails within a few days I'm 24 and have worn acrylic since I was 15 over my natural nails and NEVER had this happen ..they repaired two nails with no charge and a couple days later the rest of the 8 nails cracked and they told me I now have to pay full price for a new set....even though my first was super thin and cracked. The lady talking about being held against her will is crazy, I saw the whole thing. She didn't want to pay, she tried to run out the door over a $8 difference and THE PRICES ARE ON THE WALL PLAIN AS DAY. They asked her to pay, she refused, the owner stepped in front of her when she tried to run out the door. She cussed at the workers, THEY called the cops as she threatened the owner. "Sara C." I have NEVER in my life been so DISRESPECTED!!!! The only conclusion is it's a COLOR thing!! And I'm not talking about polish!! I guess my business is not as welcomed as I assumed!! I am a melanated woman. The person who first said hello is a Caucasian woman. The person who came from the back was an Asian male. I walked in, as you can do in so many different nail salons across the world and was greeted and she yelled to the back 'Pedicure'. A man came from the back and politely greeted me and even lingered at the front while I searched for a color. Giving all indications that he would be the person doing my pedicure. He then went to the back and began preparing a chair by running water. As I'm wrapping up searching for my color an elderly Caucasian woman walked in (also a WALK-IN)!!! Stating she also wanted a pedicure. As I go to sit down with the man who greeted me, I was suddenly told to sit in another chair with another Asian woman who hadn't said two words to me, as the elderly woman sat down with the Asian male. The woman was HORRIBLE!!! Very rough! Cutting into my skin as she cut down my toenails! I spoke up. She was then reprimanded by the Asian male. She proceeds but the roughness persists. I say something again! To the back are Caucasian women (workers) laughing and giggling starting to do one another's pedicures. I look to the first girl and ask is there someone else that can do my feet as the lady again cuts into my skin. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! She becomes completely combative saying since I was a WALK-In.....I cut her off to remind her the lady who came behind me was also a walk-in and they sat her with the man who was originally doing my feet. She continued to be combative and argumentative!! I'm in shock!! People mishandle you when they don't VALUE you as a customer!! I have never been so disrespected!!! This was truly disappointing and now I look like the angry customer!! When actually I'm just a customer who needed a damn pedicure and since I'm paying for it.....wanted it done RIGHT without having to wear a bunch of band-aids later!!! Is that too much to ask for nowadays!!! Customer service has gone down SO VERY MUCH!!! I've been here before I ASSUMED it was a safe space to return but I could not have been more wrong!!! This used to be my go to spot. I really love the owners. They're amazing people!!! Now I do not like the people they have hired to help. I had a new employee and I really wanted a good pedicure after quarantine. It took her almost 3 hours to do my pedicure. She moved so slow. And she had hands made of pillows. Felt like she wasn't even touching me. Mind you i work and have a family my feet are from my grandpas dna and i had not received a pedicure during quarantine. I was READY!! Literally people were walking in and receiving pedicures and full sets and leaving and i was still getting my pedicure. I was supposed to get a manicure but didn't want to. When I expressed I would not like to do the manicure things got really tense and weird. They kept making it a big deal but i was on time restrictions and this wasn't working out. They made me feel so bad like i was being rude and i just said forget it and let her do my nails. I didn't even receive a full pedicure she just put color on my nails. That took another hour and a half. I won't be returning which sucks. I really loved this spot for years. read more

I've been here a few times and sometimes the service is great and sometimes its kind of mediocre. The nail design that I have received here has generally been pretty good. I think all of their prices are fair and the salon is clean. However, I've made an appointment before and still had to wait an hour while they fit in walkins before me and the technician sped through my nails and didnt take the time to do a quality service. read more

I am not sure what is going on at this salon, however the last 3 times I have been the wait was over 30 minutes. They had 3 on duty. I went back 3 times before I didn't have to wait. While I was there a customer came in and left after about 30 minutes. Three were on staff and all were busy. I am not sure what is going on, however they possibly need another employee? Went here for the first time yesterday and it was great! I've tried a couple of other places for pedis and been impressed but these people are GOOD! I always like to get a design on my toes and they are truly creative with it not just doing the traditional flowers. Also they are super appeasing, they didn't have Dr. Pepper and I told them just a water was fine but then a few minutes later another employee showed up with a Dr. Pepper for me! Now that's unexpected service!! Definitely will be making this my new pedi spot!! read more

I've been a regular customer at Art Nails Raytown for about 6 years. I have noticed that lately my nails have been chipping after a week from getting the gel fill. LiLi assured me that she was indeed using the gel product. I went to a different nail salon a few days ago because I had become dissatisfied with the quality of Art Nail. To my surprise I was told that my nails were NOT gel nails but some white acrylic powder instead. Only the nail polish used was gel. Beware that they are not using gel nail product for a set or a fill. However, they are charging the $30-$40 fee for something that is not gel. So sad and disappointing to be lied to so blatantly. I have been using Art Nails for many years, but lately I have had to wait for over an hour, nearly 2 hours, while they took later arrivals before me. They said they had an appointment, yet, when I asked for an appointment they told me I have to call 30 minutes before hand to set up an appointment (?) Even though I was there before another person who did not have an appointment, he put me in a pedicure chair with my feet soaking and did the other person's nails. The water was cold before someone came back to help me. It would be accepted if it was the first time but it has happened to me the last 3 times there when I have come for a pedicure and a manicure. I am an excellent tipper so that is not the problem. After over 15 years as a customer I am looking for a new place for my business as they evidently do not need my business. read more

Have my first pedicure ever that I have not done myself and it was great. Very nice people and a great job done on my nails. It lasted 3 weeks which I thought was awesome. Enjoyed this so much going to do this every three weeks. Everyone needs to be pampered once in a while. read more

Been there multiple times with my daughter & always make an appointment so we can be done together. Repeatedly our appt time isn't honored & we wait because of walk-ins. Today was the last time. Waited over a half hour & though we were both seated, only I was done. My daughter sat tjere and NO ONE apologized for her wait. When my pedicure was finished, the employee started my daughter's but after waiting over an hour, and the point of having an appt together was to experience it together. No discount offered to me either. It wasn't our 11st time there but it was my LAST time. They don't honor appointments and thete are too msny other places. read more
