I was very happy with the alterations Art Square made to my pants. Work was done as expected, on time and within the time promised.

I'm a touring musician. I'm seldom home long enough to get much done in lieu of stage clothes, and I desperately needed a shirt customized for a video I plan to do later this month. I wrote to ART square before I hit the road last week and asked if they could help a traveling musician passing through (who didn't have much time in any one place). I got a warm reply, so I went by the shop in between obligations for the filk fest. As I began to describe to Sayah what I needed, I noticed that he had a oud (one of the most beautiful and expressive instruments I'm familiar with) leaning against the wall, and I exclaimed, "You have an oud!" Then I noticed he actually had two. His eyes lit up, and to make a long story short, not only did he do a beautiful job on my shirt, but we also got to jam out together! How often does a traveling musician get to have that little unexpected slice of awesomeness? Sayah and his wife Rania are from Syria, and even though I offered to learn a Syrian tune, he said, "No, I want to learn one of yours!" So I sent him a link to my song "Exodus," and he also added a beautiful texture to a Scottish song that I just threw at him with no preparation. We had an absolute ball. Sayah normally has a two-week waiting period, but he made an exception for me, which I was not expecting. He invited me to come back and play anytime I'm in the area. My deepest gratitude to him and Rania. Shukran, my new friends! PS. No need for alarm. The giant scissors didn't cut into my head. read more

If you don't read my whole book that's fine, but this place is amazing and if I'm ever in town again I will use them! I'm from Ohio but moved to Tennessee and came back for a visit. I bought my wedding dress off the rack from a bridal boutique that did not do in house alterations so I needed to find a place FAST! I took my wedding dress here praying that they would be able to get what I needed taken care of done within a month. And they did an incredible job! I needed my waist let out, some length taken off, straps shortened, and the mesh on the front lowered. At my first meeting with them, I put my dress on and they took some measurements. They didn't want to take any length out or do anything else until the waist was let out. They were able to take my waist out a few inches (I already got married, but we had planned to do bridal portraits so I finally bought a dress; I didn't need a perfect fit, just something more reasonable since I bought my dress off the rack, and they did amazing) and they completed the other alterations requested, while also giving me the excess fabric he cut off without me asking. Him and his wife (I forget their names) are super sweet, and very flexible since they have mall hours! If your GPS takes you to the middle of the parking lot like mine did, go in the mall doors next to Panera (Panera on the right mall doors on the left) and it's right next to Panera on the right inside! I hope this helps anyone looking for a reasonably priced tailor. Not sure how much wedding dress alterations should normally cost, but I didn't think my cost was too terrible for the work done! Look elsewhere. I started going to this tailor, shortly after they opened. I took in 5 pairs of pants, and was drawn to their story about being new business owners. The owner said the pickup would be ready in a week. I came back in a week later, and the order was not complete. When I picked up the order 2 weeks later, all of the pants had been altered to different lengths. I took them back in, and they fixed them free of charge. I thought that I should give them some more time to work out the kinks so I decided to give them another shot. I took four jeans, and it was the same story. Returned at the time he indicated and it was still not done. I also dropped off a suit coat. At the time, he said that they were starting to get busy and he wasn't sure it would be done in a couple of weeks. He told me that he would work on it in his spare time, and would call me when it was complete. I called back in 2 months later, and they never returned the call. The shop is also rarely open at the posted time. Finally, months later, I returned and waited for the operators to return to the store.. at 5:49 pm on a Monday. Sure enough 2/4 pairs were altered to the incorrect length. I asked about the suit jacket, and he said it's been here for months. I didn't want to argue with him about the multiple calls and him failing to contact me. He brought the coat out and it was not touched! I asked him about it, and he said "I don't feel like doing it." He then tried to charge me to fix the original alterations, stating that I had asked them to be longer - yet 2 out of the 4 were correct. I left the store immediately. Be cautious of this business. I have not received a refund and the operators seem quite shady. read more

I had an unplanned work event come up and needed 2 suits I just purchased for it tailored (suit pants hemmed) in less than 2 days. I contacted Art Square on a Sunday and was told a Tuesday post-4pm delivery was possible with a slight cost increase for express. It was 100% worth every penny spent. I was able to pick up the clothes in time and the work was perfection. I highly, Highly, HIGHLY recommend this tailor. I will bring all future tailoring needs to this tailor and will send my friends and family there whenever they need a tailor. read more

I had two dresses that I needed to have taken in on the bodice for a better fit. They're lined sheath dresses that I bought from J Crew, so it required a bit of a deft hand to make it work. I brought them to Art Square, having seen excellent reviews and for the shop's location between my home and office. I brought them in about 2 weeks before I needed them and explained to the tailor (who I believe is also the owner) that I was looking for a closer fit on the bodices. He understood and added pins accordingly, and explained that on one of them, he would need to open the waist seam to achieve the best result, which would factor into the price. I understood, having had a little bit of sewing experience myself--just enough to be dangerous and know that sometimes you need to deconstruct a garment to an extent if you are to get a clean result in the end. We agreed on the ready date and price, I paid, and two weeks later I picked up my dresses. His work was flawless and both dresses fit me beautifully. I wore them to a conference and felt very professional and put together. I would recommend this shop to anyone--a good tailor is worth it! read more

I went to art Square two weeks ago and they did amazing job on my dress, it didn't take to long to get it fix, and let's not talk about how clean their work are and how fast, they are so professional and they have really good and affordable price.
