I went to this place to get a new battery put in my Movado watch. This was the first time my watch…read morehas ever gotten serviced. The lady that helped me told me that the person that would service the watch was not in and would it would take a couple of days. A few days later they call me and tell me that the watch isn't working with the new battery. I thought it was weird that it wasn't working since it was before the battery dies. So I took it to the Swap o Rama flea market and the gentleman there opened the watch and told me that they bent a piece that holds the battery in place. He said instead of removing the piece probably by removing the screws they tried to pry it out and in turn scratching the pieces and bending the piece. So he ended up ordering the replacement parts and fixed it for me. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you do happen to do business here be very careful because if they are doing this type of work, I can imagine where else they're cutting corners or deceiving customers. Whether it's with watches or gold jewelry that they sell or buy. I mean, I got my watch fixed at a flea market for God sakes.

However, I was unable to find the exact setting that I wanted for an oval diamond. We found out about Imperial Jewelry Company through a family member and reached out to Terry. I verbalized with Terry the specifications I had for my ring. All I told him was that I wanted a platinum skinny half pave band set for an oval diamond we had already selected. It sounds simple enough, but this was difficult to find! Just days later, he updated us that he already produced a mold of the setting that had the specifications of my gem. Then, I was completely caught off guard because just days after he sent us a picture of the mold, the entire ring was completed and on my finger. When I received the ring, I was honestly blown away - it was exactly what I wanted. The most impressive part of this entire experience is Terry's ability to understand his clients' needs. I didn't even show him a picture of what I wanted, but just described to him what I wanted. I couldn't believe he knew the exact thickness of the band I wanted just based off of the description of "skinny," and letting him know I had slim fingers (lol). He has an incredible breadth of knowledge and experience that allows him to correctly interpret even your most vague requests! We were so pleased with our experience with Terry that we've also asked him to custom make our wedding bands too! I would highly recommend Terry for all your custom jewelry needs.

To be fair, he should have thought twice before forking over $500 to such a retailer, but he's a trusting guy and the ring is lovely--and also, unfortunately, not the right size. Ms. Proprieter Fung told me that not only would it (1). cost $80 to be re-sized, and (2). have to be sent to Hong Kong, but (3). would need to be an entirely new ring--smaller--meaning FEWER diamonds, yet MORE money?, and (4). not be finished until the first week of March. Here it is, March 2nd, and I just got off of the phone with the Fungs' daughter who seemed confused and disoriented as I read off my receipt number. She said that they would have to call me back. As of right now, I might have to file a police report. Do not give them business--well, not if you expect to receive service with your purchase.
