He was able to get that working a lot better than it was and he checked all the derailleurs and brakes to boot. My second road bike needed a new chain that was damaged on a ride this week. It needed a new Record 11 speed chain. So I asked him if he could order one and come back to repair both of the road bikes. He said I am ahead of schedule and I can do both of them now. It is withing a mile of my house. We went in on a Wednesday around noon. There were two guys working and both greeted us and one really jumped in to get moving with our needs. He took her bike, popped it up on the bike jack (not sure if that is an official term) and got to work. He gave us a few tips to continue to care for her bikeas well. We were in and out of the store withing 20 minutes and spent $21 on a tire repair. My daughter was thrilled to have her wheels back and I was thrilled it was quick and reasonable! The bikes had enough gears to get you up and down the itty bitty hill on the way to the lighthouse. They also have a back pouch big enough to stow your bag. They include locks and helmets (required in MA for under 16) in the rental price. You could even take the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard if you plan better than we did (bikes need to be returned by 6pm).

And we had the bikes all day if we chose, until shop close time of 6pm the day we rented. I have to say that I was extremely skeptical of this at first but daughter wanted to do this for her birthday. I HIGHLY recommend!! The scenery is beautiful and the path is relatively easy. The path is made for bikes and pedestrians which makes it great for not sharing the road with cars. Proper signage too.
