Mask Purchase Experience: was in between 2 masks because I liked the design of the one I purchased, but the other had a veil I liked. They recommended a place nearby that sells fabric and even offered to help me attach the veil if I decided to purchase the mask which they did! I ended up with a beautiful mask. All of their clothing items are beautifully detailed; my partner has been coming here for huaraches, shirts, and other clothing items. The family here is making their kids work and you can tell it's by force. I have been here to buy so many cute things but I will never return. The family is interesting. Not a single person wanted to ring me up. It was the most ridiculous scenario I have ever been in. I felt so embarrassed and I did nothing wrong. I wanted to pay and the family was all talking. The girl said her brother would help me. Then the brother said the dad would help me. Then the dad left and said the son would help me. Then the son told them in front of me that he didn't want to help me. Then the mom told the son to help me. And I finally said never mind I'm leaving. And she insisted "no it's okay he has to help you." I then said no I'm leaving. It was so unprofessional. I understand that they want their kids to be responsible but the actions form all 4 people was not okay. Then when I left they looked at me like if I was the one in the wrong. .. .... ........ I just recently went to purchase a dress for my cousins wedding, the couple helped me pick the perfect one and showed me how to style my hair to best fit the dress. They are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. In the years I've been going to them for my kids clothes I've never been unsatisfied. I absolutely love it! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Total crap of a store. Everything is always overpriced. They did not let me return earrings which I had bought only a week before because they turned out to be too large for my kid. First they said because of hygiene. Then they said because it's store policy. I pulled out the digital receipt and no where does it state these rules. Then she pointed out a tiny sign over a door which was closed the day I went. I have bought many times with them and would still need their merchandise but I will Not be returning. Last week I went with my friends to window shop for Mexican dresses and accessories. One of my friends bought the colored belt for $20 and they didn't think we were together, so my other friend asked the price for same belt, they said $25. So, yesterday, September 22, 2022, I went back, the prices of same items they have told us last week went up. You have to wheel and deal with these sales people to get the price changed in your favor. I feel that there should be a fix price for everything, they should put a price tag on them. read more

I'm a teacher in a Spanish Immersion program. This year, I went to Tapatias to purchase an outfit for myself for our school's FIESTA. The place is a little unorganized, but the people working here know what they have and where to find it. They helped me pick out something to complement my students' outfits, and it was perfect. They also saved my "behind" two days before my class was suppose to perform. It was the Friday before Cinco de mayo, and I drove 1.5 hours through commuter traffic to get to this place. I needed a skirt for one of my students and I needed it fast. They were able to find just what I needed and help this frazzled, over worked teacher. read more

I was excited to find this place. I have been to both locations several times. They sell an assortment of beautiful products but lack adequate customer service. My last visit was to the berryessa location. I purchased a pair of shoes and they gave me two rights shoes. Keep in mind I live an hour away from their locations. I called the store to see when I could get the shoe exchanged for the proper shoe. The lady/owner said she'd call me back and never did. Three days later I called again and her response was to come in over the weekend and they'd have the shoe for me. When I get to the location I find the owner and she brushes me off, points to another person and says they'll help you. I stood there waiting for a good fifteen minutes while they looked for the other shoe. Not once did she come over and apologize nor offer to accommodate me for having to drive an hour out of my way after they made the mistake of giving me the wrong shoe. I will never purchase anything from this place again nor will I recommend this place to anyone. The worst customer service. I was really appalled by how the owner treats her customers. read more
