This is the perfect place for an elevated coffee brunch date! When you walk in you are greeted by magnificent plants and greenery that fill the entire cafe space. (And if you fall in love with one they are all up for sale!) We tried two seasonal drinks, the Golden Spice Latte and Witches Brew Matcha. We loved both of them! I'm not a matcha fan, but I was stealing sips from my partner the entire meal. My Golden Spice Latte was smooth and delicious. We also got the grilled cheese, and that's the reason this review is sadly not a 5/5. It was alright! But for an $8 grilled cheese I'd expect the cheese to be melted and for it to be a little thicker. Our cappuccino muffin was great, though! I just wish we were able to warm it up. I'm visiting from nyc and have been coming here the last few days. I really love it! Ambiance is beautiful and unique, lots of plants and cool jewelry. The coffee is pretty good but in my opinion the real star is the baked goods. We had the lemon loaf and the sticky bun. Lemon loaf was delish but the stick bun was truly stellar. A very magical place, indeed, I take my fam and friends here when they visit and they always love it. Baristas are always pleasant, but seem inexperienced, and the coffee is not great, it's ok, like the iced coffee, but I wouldn't get espresso. Not that it would be horrible, just not superb. You walk in to an indoor jungle, all of which you can buy if you want some plant babies. They have seasonal coffee drinks, and the most delicious baked goods. If you order sandwiches, it's at the little food truck outside and that's always delicious as well. Then of course there's the cute seating area inside and out, which feels like you're in an art museum or garden. However, there were some things I didn't love about the place. Wanting coffee and something simple to nom on before brunch with friends, we stopped here after checking out of our hotel ( We were in town to see Hozier) and after getting a bit confused on where to enter, we were delighted to see a fun vibe of plant and trinkets shop with an attached art gallery, food truck for more substantive noms, and obviously coffee. We got the "Spicy dream" lattee and another one (can't remember the name) because one of us is lactose intolerant with a lemon tart, hilarious called a "lemon situation" by the lovely staff (I could really tell everyone working that day were good friends) and a vegan chocolate chip scone. My latte need a little more of a kick, unless they meant a different kind of "spice" but it was so tasty. The snacks were awesome too. Vibes were easily a 5/5. Is this an appropriate place to post about the plant shop? The first time I walked into this place, no one greeted me or said hi or anything when I entered. Ok. Not a big deal. Peeps are busy, I guess (except they all the people who worked there seemed to just be chatting behind the register). I looked around and the place was beautiful, like a real secret garden. Almost overwhelming. I liked that I saw plant stands for sale also around. I left without purchasing anything or interacting with any staff. I came back about a month later looking for something specific and needed expert advice - I needed something maybe 2-4 ft tall, and could tolerate a relatively shady indoor area. It was just like the first time, no one saying hi to me or anything but seemingly animated with everyone else. I stood in the line to order coffee and when I got to the front asked for someone who could help with the plants. I was told the only knowledgeable person was off serving outside. When they returned they were extremely helpful (suggested a beautiful peace Lily)...then sort of left me there again. So I went to the register again to ask for help/ask about purchasing. It's covered in flowers and flower pots which are for sale. The drinks here are slightly over priced and can add up with additional milk selections and syrup choices. I would still much rather spend the extra $1-$2 on this local business. Places like this are what makes Main Street Manayunk so great. There is a self pay parking lot across the street. My mother and I are Philadelphia locals. We usually go to the restaurant across the street but decided to give the cafe a chance this morning. We had walked past several times and its beautiful to look at. I should note we were really in the mood for pancakes but we switched gears to eat sooner. Neither of us are really coffee people so we tried the bagel/cream cheese, lemon yogurt cake, and grilled cheese panini w/pesto. I can't say we'll be returning anytime soon. The bagel/cream cheese didn't have enough cream cheese for the price. Upon receipt, I returned and asked for more cream cheese. There was a miscommunication and they put more cream cheese on top of the whole bagel, which wasn't what I asked for. They went ahead and replaced the bagel in cream cheese but there was such a wait for the first bagel/cream cheese, we lost interest by the time they got it right. The grilled cheese was ok The cake was ok. The mimosas were good. The place was also very busy. Everything just took too long. We're not folks that are looking to linger over breakfast. We're not on vacation and have things to do. Sure, I could recommend the place to folks that enjoy such cafes and don't mind waiting. Artesano Cafe is a cafe that I immediately laid my eyes on when I recently moved to the Roxborough area. Artesano is a combination of a garden shop, cafe, artwork shop, and many more. The overall vibes of Artesano is a Mosaic Plant Garden cafe, which made me immediately reminiscent of Barcelona with the mosaic tiled tables and chairs. What is great about it is that although this place is on Main Street in Manayunk, there is plenty of seating available that offers a serene and quiet atmosphere. I ordered a Cupid's Crush which is a latte with White Chocolate and Raspberry (very similar to my favorite Starbucks drink - White Raspberry Mocha) and a Smoked Turkey Panini as recommended by staff.
