The previous company quickly diagnosed the problem as a defective defrost kit and quoted me $659.08 for the repair. I didn't feel comfortable with the diagnosis or the way they handled my questions, so I decided to get another opinion. That's when Anthony from Don's Appliances in the Murrieta area came out. He took the time to properly troubleshoot the freezer and found that the actual problem was simply a clogged drain and ice buildup. He cleared the blockage, defrosted the affected area, and got everything working properly. The total cost was only $135. What impressed me most was Anthony's honesty, professionalism, and thoroughness. He could have easily recommended an expensive repair, but instead he diagnosed the actual problem and charged me fairly. I was so impressed with his honesty that I gave him an additional $65 tip.
