Got two blazers tailored here: simple, shortening the sleeves. In one case it was really a very nice jacket and they shortened the sleeves from the top (ie picking apart the shoulders and the leaving the cuffs intact), in the other case they took the simpler approach of turning the cuffs. In each case the tailors did lovely work. Peter Field is not cheap. On the other hand, I paid extra to have one job done express and they just did both while they were at it, only charging me for the first. So you definitely get what you pay for--or, in my case, a bit more than you pay for! read more

Fantastic experience!! As a butch woman, you always hear horror stories of tailors just not "getting it." Asking for a men's suit to be tailored in a men's fashion was not a problem. Nick, one of the owners, got it immediately and without question! There was no weirdness or judginess to deal with and the suit came out beautiful, fitting in all the right places, but not accentuating curves like women's suits do. He also adjusted my store bought tie so that it actually fit and wasn't too long. You can't tell at all that he cut off 6 inches from the tail. I also loved that all their prices were online. Alterations: Market prices with 2x the service quality. These guys are efficient, and will take care of your needs. I have to wear a poor quality wedding suit as part of the party, but these guys made it look at least a bit more attractive and I was satisfied. Ben is a lifesaver. My brother arrived from overseas for the weekend before a conference the day after, and forgot his suit! Best tailors in the city. I've had the privilege of having two suits tailored here and the work was amazing. The first suit needed to have the sleeves altered, jacket brought in, and pants hemmed. All of this needed to be done in a week. Not only did they get it done they maintained the really great finishing touches on the sleeve cut. My experience at this tailor has been phenomenal. I was recommended this tailor after an after an awful experience at Lovely Bride. I ended up with a nightmare bridal dress situation that was too busty in the front. I met Chloe at my initial visit in which she measured me for hemming my bridal dress, I went back for two more fittings and they did a gorgeous job restructuring my dress to cover up my bust. As a bride, it's an awful and traumatizing experience should be left with a wedding dress that you feel you can't wear. My experience with Chloe was absolutely amazing, she was comforting, she made me feel at ease about the situation at hand, and also assured me that they would assist me with repairing my bridal dress. They work on impressive turnaround times and my great dress looked absolutely stunning for my wedding. I also had spoken with Nicholas twice on the phone in which he had explained the entire process to me, and assured that I had complete understanding. I found Peter Field on Yelp based on all of the excellent reviews. I first came in last November with an old suit (really old) and new I needed a new suit, but was not ready for the expense at that time. I chatted with Nicholas and found in him everything that I felt a tailor should be. I was gifted two suits in late May from a friend of mine who is similar in build to me. The single breast suit was already altered and the double breast was still on the hanger from the store. I had plans to be in Vegas for a family event, but did not know until the last minute if I was able to attend. I needed a suit altered... and fast. I brought my suits in and Nicholas and Ben were able to get the single breast ready for me in five days. I was only charged an extra $5 for each part that need to be altered as a rush. My suit was ready and more importantly...perfect. I had always read about the bespoke suit and thought this was something I would never be able to do, but Nicholas and Ben made it possible. I made it to Las Vegas and when I saw my mom at the family event, she cried. I reminded her so much of my dad who passed away because my dad always dressed well when he went out. Everyone commented how good the suit looked. I was staying at The Mirage and wore my suit one evening for dinner and a show with the family and the concierge commented on my excellent suit and lamented on how Vegas has changed in terms of style. The one person who appreciated the most was my wife. I first went here at the recommendation of bonobos, as they are the preferred tailor in New York. They helped with three suits, making alterations to 2 and recommending the third get sent back because the fit wasn't as good and would have required more expansive alterations. The two suits they altered fit perfectly and I was very pleased with their work and prices. A year and a half later and the hem on the pant bottoms is still holding up. Pant legs coming unhemmed is a common complaint of almost all other suits I've had tailored elsewhere (including custom suits), but not here. I went back recently, and year and a half later and they remembered my face from before, how many suits they did, what they altered. I had two more suits altered this time, conveniently after work at 730 which is a plus, and they moved quickly and efficiently. They're experts and fairly priced. read more
