Walking in, the place was packed! The standard Ross security was there, greeting me as I walked in and headed straight for the shoes. They had so many amazing shoes and brands! There was another girl in my aisle and we both expressed how cute everything was but I wonder if this great selection is because the store is new or will it continuously have these same brands and good deals? I was welcomed in, got champagne and was offered a refill and treated like royalty! I'll be honest I had never even heard of this store before. It's located in east sac and is very easy to miss. The lady working, Summer, immediately greeted us while finishing up her chat with some other shoppers. Once they left it was only my sister Jamie and I remaining in the shop. Summer approached with the typical ice breaking questions...."how are you? What are you shopping for?" Our response "Good, thank you, we're only looking." As we were thumbing threw hangers, anything my sister touched Summer was right there to size and style her. Grabbing more than what my sister was looking at and setting up a dressing room for her. Anytime Jamie would ask me something, Summer would answer for me while piling more clothes into the dressing room Summer decided she needed. Fast forward to cashing out, Jamie ended up with 6 items, 2 of the items she was unsure of and felt pushed into getting. But figured she'll return them if needed. Three days later Jamie decides she wants to return the two items, so we head back down to Wild Poppy Co. We get there, we're at the register with the owner of Wild Poppy Co. Everything was cool until the owner pulled out a gift card. Jamie hesitated a little and asked if she could get her money back. Leaving in two days to fly back to the east coast, a gift card was not useful for her. And buying more of their product didn't sit comfortably with either of us. The owner explained their return policy (10 days to return an item and money spent on that item you will get back on a gift card) and when Jamie had shared that wasn't part of Summers conversation with us, the Owner reassured us (gaslight tf outta of us) that "Summer is usually really good at telling people the return policy." It was obvious that we both were uncomfortable in the lack of regard provided by the owner. Jamie left with a gift card to a store that neither of us, and hopefully others, will not be returning to. The owner then texted the owner of Panache and told me he's on his way soon. I was about to walk out but the owner said I could stay while I waited. They were so sweet. I was browsing and saw this green sweater that was way beyond my budget. She offered me 50% off but I still couldn't afford it. LOL! I was taken aback because she just offered it just like that. This shop is a boutique so all pieces are unique and the brands are not commercial like Gucci, Chanel, LV, Lagerfeld, etc. It's items that are equal or superb in quality but not known to regular people, lol. She asked me if I wanted to take off my mask since I was vaccinated but I just opted to keep it. We chatted a bit more about news, politics, medicine, etc, and then I went on my way. The owner was really nice. She didn't shoo me away like some lost sea urchin. She let me stay inside. It was foggy and cold outside so I extra appreciated the kind gesture. Check out her shop. When we walked in, there was a display of Quay sunglasses and lots of Easter items. They also had a ton of designer purses and jewelry! I saw some nice pairs of shoes and even perfume and cologne. We ended up buying a couple of small items and 2 outfits for our daughter, but being as it is still Nordstrom's, I found a lot of items were pretty pricy. I did like looking through all of their items though and would definitely come back, but I think my budget prefers Home Goods and TJ Maxx. Staff weren't anything special or friendly at check out and I don't recall seeing any employees walking around or helping customers. Check them out!
