After a few unexpected circumstances that involved me having to get a replacement cell phone twice within a few months time, I ended up with a brand new Samsung Galaxy S21+5G from T-Mobile. I usually stick with the same phone for years because I just don't like change. But it didn't take me long to adjust to the newness and I couldn't wait to find the perfect cover and screen protector. That's when Joe K took me straight to the Accessory Store in Elk Grove. The minute we walked in, I knew I would find what I was looking for here. Even the products online just didn't wow me. This store had a huge number of assorted cases on display for most brands, makes, and models. The clerk on staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about their merchandise. I had a hard time making my selection, but I finally found a bling style rhinestone encrusted case that I had always wanted! I also got a screen protector to go with it. When I began thinking about what I was going to say for this review I really couldn't decide what rating to give it. Yes, this store as many options for cases....Yes, this store has almost every type of phone/tablet/etc case available. Clearly, the owner is on top of things when it comes to new devices coming out (I used to have a Nexus 5, when it first came out no stores had cases...but this place did) However, the quality of these cases and the price they charge isn't equal in any way. I can easily find cases of similar quality for much cheaper elsewhere. I won't say where but I can definitely say it's possible. My other gripe about this place is their "no refund" policy. I've pretty particular about the cases I use with my phone and i've come to find that throwing a case on a phone and testing it for a few minutes isn't an accurate test of whether or not you actually "like" it. I bought a case once...used it for literally a day and decided I actually did not like it. At the time, it was the only case they sold. Went back and they said I could not get a refund. Bummer. With that being said, I wish they would reconsider their policy and give at least a 7 day money back promise. That way people can use the case and see if they actually do want to use whatever case they buy. I know, the argument is that the cases are pretty cheap, it's "only" this much/that much....but I still feel it would make customers feel a lot better about a purchase. read more

It was nicely organized so when I took my mom to buy a iPhone 11 case, we knew exactly where to go. It was her type of cases since she likes the wallet cases. They were averaging about $20+. They have 24 hr refund policy. Everything is locked so the employees would have to get the item for you and I don't think you can try it on your phone first. Have driven by this place a bunch of times and always planned to stop in when needed. Found myself in the market for a screen protector, phone case, and new charger. Walked in, was immediately greeted, and my experience was awesome! The employee that helped me showed me the options, installed the screen protector perfectly super quick, and I joined their loyalty program which gave me $5 off next visit. I thought the pricing was fair. Can you get these items cheaper online? Probably. But $15 to $20 for a screen protector installed right now isn't a bad option if you've been to any big box stores recently. Quality of the accessories seems fine. Had a very good experience purchasing accessories for my Mine and my wife's phones. A young lady banned Ime helped us.​ she was friendly and courteous. The items we purchased were very reasonable, actually far less expensive than buying them at the cell phone store. When I got home , there was a problem with one of the accessories so I called the store back this evening and they said come on in and we'll take a look at it. When I arrived there I noticed there was a sign at the register that said all sales final , no returns, exchanges, nor store credit. At that point I didn't think I had much hope. The employee was very nice and even installed the screen protector for us immediately and perfectly. No dust or misplacement :). Had I written this review 6 months ago it probably would read very different. I have been coming to this store for a while now as it is convenient and has a great selection. I've purchased cases for my phone, iPad, charging cables, lanyards and dash mounts amount other things for myself and my girl. About 5 months ago I purchased an iPhone dash mount and it broke within two months. I knew it was cheap so I just chocked it up to a gamble and returned to buy a nicer one, this time spending $20. It is now less that 3 months after purchasing the second dash mount. The sun caused the rubber to break right in the part where it connects to the plastic tip. I returned to accessorize to explain the situation to the young girl at the counter. After hearing my story and everything that had happened she said that she couldn't do anything without the receipt. I told her to go get the owner because he knows who I am and he would know that my complaint is legit and that I'm not scamming. She said that the owner was on vacation and would be back in two weeks. She told me to wait the two weeks and come back then. I explained that that is unacceptable as I used the mount every single day! I then asked to speak to a manager. She claimed that she was the manager but had no authority to do anything about the situation. Long story short, the manager/owner went on vacation and left no one behind with the authority to take care of customer issues and defective merchandise. Congrats accessories! I have been driving past this store on a weekly basis for years and finally stopped in this past weekend and again today. I had just bought a iphone 5s and a Galaxy 4. My last phone;a Galaxy 3 I foolishly did not protect enough and suffered from broken glass when dropped. I learned my lesson and didn't realize how much Otter Boxes and other top qualtity protection cost until I started shopping around. The selection here is great from budget cases, colorful, designer, to durable cases for a wide variety of phones. Prices are competitive and more reasonable than the Tmobile, Verizon, and Sprint stores. The workers are quite young however very personable, professional, and extremely helpful. The only thing is they were limited to the colors of Otter Boxes for Galaxy 4's however I think that maybe that Otter Box limits their inventory and distribution of their cases for some reason. I appreciated that the sales lady helped me and was very patient. I bought the Gorilla glass protector and two cases and was rewarded a with two $5 off cards for purchases over $50. I came in today and got a similar case and was able to exchange it with no extra charges due to it being the same price . And if I had to pay a difference I would have been fine with that . While I really like this store, I was left with no choice today but leave them with one star. I walked in a was greeted nicely. I was helped by one of cashiers. She was very nice. I went to go pay for my items by using a credit card and was asked to see my driver's license number. They wanted to write it down. They didn't ask for my ID to see if my name was the same on the card. Obviously they would have seen that the names matched. I asked why do they need my driver's license number. I was told that this prevented fraud. I told her I am comfortable with this. I don't if know if this is legal. I was then told that it was only for the holiday season. If I wanted to use any other form of payment, I would not have to write down my driver's license number. I decided not to buy the items and leave the store. I find it interesting that the store is using a form of privacy violation to protect itself from being violated. After I left the store I decided to look up this practice. Went in about 3 weeks ago to buy a case for my phone and my iPad. The girl sold me the wrong case for my iPad but told me I could exchange if it was wrong. I got home and the case just fell off the iPad due to it being the wrong size. Took it back and because the receipt said I purchased tempered glass and did not purchase an iPad case she would not take it back. The lady imputed the wrong thing I bought! The receipt did say 15 day exchange and it had been longer so I did say I understood. After 10 min of waiting around and watching her and her colleague talk, she said sorry there is nothing I can do. After years of overpaying for accessories and waiting too long at the ATT store, I decided to give this place a try. Needed a strong screen protector and case for my new iPhone. They had the same type of tempered glass screen protector as I had before and a similar case. Also way more variety in color and style. The employee that worked with me put the screen protector on for me and was meticulous about cleaning it (soft cloth, tape to pick up any lint or dust) and applying it. All for at least $20 less than I would've paid at ATT. The service was quick, friendly, and professional. DONT BUY ANYTHING AT THIS STORE... I needed a couple iphone charger cube that plugs into the wall to charge my iPhone and this store was the closest to my house. I stop by really fast to pickup 2 wall chargers and were referred "THE BEST ONE THEY CARRIED" verbatim, on July 2 and by the end of the night one went bad already. Returned it on July 3rd and got an exchanged. I was told it never happens and probably got a defected part. Later that night it already wouldn't work. Spent some time going there again July 6th to return and get something different. They gave me a hard time and told me it would be the last time they can exchange it being my 3rd time. I told them it's not my fault their product didn't work within 4 days and if it will not work after the last time I exchange it then they are selling bad product and just taken my $10 for bad stuff. They gave me a different charger and gave me 15 day warranty. 15 day warranty!!!!! This is when you know the store doesn't back up their product and is in town just scam people. It's been about 10 days since I've been there and my time is worth more than $10 and arguing with idiots especially when the owner is in the back and will not come out to accommodate his irate customers. DONT LET THESE PEOPLE SCAM YOU TOO!!!!!! DONT worry they will get a letter from my friends at the BBB also.
