An old, average diner and menu where we expected good home cookin'. On the specials board were four "homemade" soups that seemed promising. Chicken Noodle Soup was starchy with mushy noodles and chicken shreds. Fish Chowder was flour-thick, skimpy on ingredients and nearly tasteless. The Orange Glazed Fish Sandwich, $6.75, sounded good, but came on a large, oval plate, (with no bun!), which was a "sandwich-size" fillet topped with melted cheese and surrounded with ORANGE JUICE!!! OMG. This place was great. Staff was super cool. Obviously, they were all wearing their PPE as required by the conman and murderer Queeromo governing New York, yet they didn't bat an eye when I entered not. So cool. So many options on the menu. This gluten free individual cheated and ordered a fried shrimp basket with sweet potato fries. It came with a slightly spicy cocktail sauce. Nice. My friend ordered a fried clam basket with sweet potato fries. That came with a generous serving of tartar sauce. Nice. Other friend ordered fried chicken with regular fries. She likes her food dry so no sauce. The restaurant was clean, well organized and centrally located. They have soda on tap. The bathroom was clean. The staff were polite and funny. There are gluten free options on the menu. Even an option for gluten free toast at an additional cost of only $1.50. The list of omelettes were extensive and frankly pretty fancy. On the way out, I noticed a cutout of the top half of Queeromo's face peering through the window like a spy. Loved it! The staff appreciated that I got the joke. I love this place. Support this place. Stay away from the Saudi owned corporate Traileffers. You will avoid overpaying for substandard food. read more

My friend and I both had turkey club sandwiches. The bread was homemade, hers white and mine on wheat. What a sandwich! Lots of turkey and the bread was great. The meal also came with a pickle spear and homemade kettle chips. It was a great experience! I would highly recommend. read more

Stopped by here while going to Oswego. Probably the best diner I have come across in a while. The place was pretty packed as it was early Sunday morning, but it didn't take too long to find a seat and we got served pretty quickly. Food was great and the waffles were delicious! We stumbled upon this local diner about 5 years ago and have been coming here ever since. We've never had a bad meal and the customer service here is great. I traveled here two weeks ago. I ordered a hamburger and asked for all the 'fixins' onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, I was charged additional for each item and then on top of this the lettuce was bagged pre-sliced lettuce, the tomatoes were MUSH and the pickles were fine. However the onions were in such a small portion that I am disgusted at having to pay an additional 0.50$ for them! Also the waitress was terrible. Had bacon, eggs, sausage, and home fries. Other than the home fries being slightly underdone for my taste, everything was cooked exactly as it should be. The coffee is a little weak. My love had pancakes and bacon. She can have a discerning palate when it comes to pancakes. I waited as she ate the first few bites ...... she loved them! They are brilliant on the basics, the jalapeño bacon is fantastic, and Maria makes homemade pies that taste like a soft cloud of food sex for your tastebuds. Get the mint chocolate cookie cream pie or the two layer pumpkin cheesecake. Also, expect to wait awhile during peak salmon fishing/leaf watching season in the fall. It is quite worth the wait. I've been here a ton of times over the years an yet they never seem to fail to impress. It is real "hometown" food. I usually get the fries and chicken tenders and it is killer. The fries are always perfect, crispy and golden on the outside, soft and tasty in the middle. And the breakfast here is good too. The personnel in this diner treated me as an old friend. I was simply shocked at their attitudes. I had never seen these people before in my life! They even remembered the old tire swing out by the Johnson's property I used to frequent as a child. I mean, WOW! As for the food, I cannot express enough the feelings disturbed inside of me while eating their food. It was as though I had eaten a half dead cat, it was clawing and scratching my esophagus all the way down. Once it reached my stomach I could feel the food rearranging itself constantly until my stomach acids broke it down. At that point, I was empowered by the overwhelming sense of accomplishment and brutality of what I had just consumed. I will go there again when black dahlia murder's new album comes out, listen to it during my meal, and I will ALL HAIL IMGUR. read more
