    Nice branding

Welp, Butter Block was closed and I had already decided in my mind that I wanted to take croissants for a work meeting. Google did not fail me. I was able to meet the owner and try a variety of baked goods. Breakfast flats on fresh breads, stuffed croissants, fresh fruit Danish. EVERYTHING was delicious. Service was welcoming and attentive. Place is very charming with an upstairs sitting area as well well. So good to know that I have more fresh croissant options. Brava!

A bad picture of a delicious sandwich - this is the seven.

There's an art to a good sandwich. The main components include warm, fresh bread, simple but high quality ingredients, and a nice sauce to tie it all together. Artigiana has mastered this. My sandwich came on warm, soft, freshly made focaccia. The toppings were simple - arugula, roasted tomato, thinly sliced cucumber, and thinly sliced Italian deli meat. It was all married with a little oil and vinegar. The building is brand new and very nice! I took my order to go today, but would gladly sit upstairs with a book and take my time. I absolutely destroyed this sandwich. I will be back again very soon!

There's one word to describe their pastries: *~DECADENT~* I stopped by in the morning to grab a box of pastries, but I think I'll need to come back for the sandwiches given how good the pastries were! The viennoiserie were super buttery and flaky, with a delectable crunch. They are GIANT pastries, so definitely worth the higher price point $$ Plain croissant: gotta have a regular croissant for comparison! Crusty exterior, with a soft and velvety mouth-feel on the inside. One of the better plain croissants I've had in the past 12 months Everything Asiago Morning bun: my favorite out of the bunch, I think. It was super rich and had a the cheese gave the bun a bit of extra pizzazz~ Pistachio stuffed croissant: It had a real pistachio flavor, not a fake green sugar flavor if you know what I mean. I can't say it enough, but the way the pastries are made here are impeccable. Cannoli stuffed croissant: a nice tang to the cannoli cream, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. As pictured, I got a couple of other pastries that I wasn't able to try out, but the coworkers were all asking about where I got the goods so I'm guessing the rest of it was tasty as well! Buffalo has really been surprising me with the pastry scene, I can't wait to come back :)

First the smell when you walk in was amazing. Will be back to try a sandwich or pizza. They looked delicious! Tried the cannoli stuffed croissant. It was huge. Very good. I really loved the tomato tart/danish. The pastry was delicious and it had provolone and tomato on it, warmed up it was so good!

a friend and i had been wanting to try artigiana and finally succeeded last month; both delighted that we did. photo shows menu of the day, but there were also, as others have mentioned, several sweet and savory items in the case, all tempting. i ordered what was number 5 that day: Soppressata Dolce, 18-Month Di Parma Prosciutto, Artichoke, Roasted Red Pepper, Provolone, Arugula, Pesto Aioli. Friend ordered no. 10, but asked that it be served on the ciabatta bread, and that was accommodated. both sandwiches were excellent! we ate in the small upstairs dining area, where it was quieter and warmer (the place is small and if you're downstairs, where the door is opening/closing as customers come/go, it's chilly).

Fun coffee shop in the heart of downtown Buffalo, definitely worth a visit…read more I was staying at Hotel Lafayette for a couple of nights and right before I checked out I decided to swing by to grab a coffee. While you can enter from the street, it's also connected from inside the hotel, which is honestly how it caught my attention. The space is actually pretty big, bigger than I expected. It's open, colorful, there's a ton of natural light, cool murals all over the walls, luscious greenery, and a variety of seating options. The counter where you order is nice and open, with a big menu, and a sheet of glass between the customers and what I quickly came to know is their staple item, the cruller - a donut-like pastry that's super airy on the inside with a delicious icing glaze on the outside. Along with my oat milk latte, I had to try one... ok two. I got a seasonal Pride one and I can't remember the other one. Both were dreamy and it was easy to see why they are so popular. If I lived in the area this spot would totally be a go-to for working out of when I want to switch up my scenery.

It is a Puerto Rican style bakery that embraces that authentic Puerto Rican culture through its food, space, and interactions with the staff. I LOVE this place. I came during Valentine's Day weekend and the vibes were everything! It's a super cute space with warm and welcoming colors and decor. The space had Valentine's decor that instantly made you feel like love was in the air. It's a small space but from anywhere you're seated there is an adorable photo opp. I especially loved the memorandum wall honoring a relative whose love of baking inspired this place. I ordered avena (which is oatmeal) with cinnamon, coffee, and a croissant sandwich that had egg, cheese and ham (very customizable). I devoured most of my food before remembering to take pics lol but I promise it's worth every penny and was very flavorful and delicious. The prices are great and everything is made with love. I thought it was so thoughtful that each cup of coffee had "Happy Valentine's Day" handwritten on the lids, so sweet and kind and really made my day. The staff are very kind and friendly and there is English translation next to anything that is written in Spanish. I was working remotely so I was able to do work on my laptop and enjoy a wonderful breakfast. While dining, I saw many people stopping in for to-go orders and others sitting and eating with their partners or children. They have a menu posted on the wall as soon as you enter as well as menus by the cashier. They offer breakfast, lunch, a variety of beverages, lots of beautiful pastries and desserts and also offer party trays. I could not help myself and had to grab a couple of pastries to go on my way out. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend.

Dim lighting, chic decor, and an intimate atmosphere make it perfect for date night or a girls night. It just feels elevated without being too stuffy. Food-wise, they've been super consistent every time I've gone. I tried frog legs for the first time here and was honestly surprised by how much I loved them, definitely better than expected. The escargot and oysters were also delicious, and the drinks have been just as solid across the board. The beef bourguignon wasn't my thing but I think that was a preference thing. I don't particularly love braised shortrib and it was a shared dish with my friend. I'm giving 5 stars because my most recent visit really stood out, the service that afternoon was amazing, and our waiter even sang happy birthday to my friend (I wish I remembered his name because he deserves the shoutout). It made the whole experience feel so special, and I'll be including a video because it was such a great moment. That said, if I'm being completely honest, I'd rate it more like a 4.5 overall. The other two times I visited, the service was good but not as attentive or friendly as this last experience. Still, between the consistently great food, drinks, and the beautiful atmosphere, it's absolutely worth it, and I'll definitely be back again.
