I was a little hesitant to come here, because there are a couple of Yelp reviews saying that the staff can be rude. However, that was not my experience at all! I was greeted at the door by the bestest boy/doggo named Teddy and someone who I assumed was one of the owners. The shop is very cute, lots of gnomes, rubber ducks, and fun quotes showcasing the owners' sense of humor. The owner was actually very helpful and gave me tips on how to best enjoy my baked goods. I got ten items for a very reasonable price! Sweet roll: one of their popular items. A roll with warm sugar and cinnamon on the inside and gooey frosting on top, but I can see why they don't advertise it as a cinnamon roll. It doesn't smack you in the face with that cinnamon flavor, but has all the other good parts of the roll. Blueberry muffin: not too sweet and chock full of blueberries and streusel topping! Turnovers: I wasn't a fan of the icing sugar topping, but the puff pastry was light and flaky. I'm sure if I was home and was able to pop it in the oven it would have been amazing! Cupcakes: this was a surprising gem for me. I generally find cupcakes and their frosting to be too sweet, but the actual cake was light on the sugar and balanced well with the buttercream. The cake felt a little dry, but my cupcake was chocolate flavored and sometimes that has an innate dryness to it. I looked online, and they actually have a crazy amount of cool flavors! I would love to come back to try more flavors. All in all, a very pleasant experience, if you're in Corfu you should definitely stop by :) read more

As soon as we walked in the door it smelled like heaven and we were greeted right away. It took me a while to choose what I wanted from all the delicious looking baked goods and the beverage menu. Between the two of us, we ended up ordering an iced latte, a molasses cookie, a peanut butter brownie and a chocolate almond pretzel pastry. The iced latte had a goodix of milk and espresso. The molasses cookie was perfectly soft yet chewy and had a great molasses flavor along with ginger and cinnamon. The peanut butter brownie was chewy and had a good amount of peanut butter buttercream frosting topping it. I ate the chocolate almond pretzel pastry at a later time and heated it in the air fryer for a few minutes. It was flaky, buttery and flavorful. Small bakery with good baked. I came in around noon Saturday. The store was clean with few customers. There are few tables to sit. Parking is tricky cause no parking lots, so I park on side road. Cute little bakery located in the Corfu area. The inside is decorated beautifully! You are welcomed with a whole arrangement of baked goodies. I was in the area for work and decided to grab some goodies for Valentine's Day weekend. There weren't many Valentine-themed baked goods but not to worry. I grabbed half a dozen of cupcakes that were in the fridge. There were two of each flavor: funfetti, peanut butter/chocolate, and I think the last one was vanilla. Unfortunately, they were way too sweet for my liking but I thought they were super cute!! I grabbed an apple turnover which was delicious!! I bought a cake for my granddaughter's first birthday at Buttercrumbs Bakery, and the entire experience was a nightmare. We planned to bake our own cake at Darien Lake, but the cabin didn't have an oven. Buttercrumbs Bakery was the only local option. I called the bakery in the morning to order a small cake or cupcakes, and a man with a nasty attitude answered. He rudely told me they were busy and then hung up on me. I decided to go to the bakery in person, only to be greeted by a woman with the same horrible attitude. She offered no help whatsoever to decorate or even write my granddaughter's name on the cake we got from their fridge. I'm convinced these two are either husband and wife or identical twins--both older, with horrible manners and an even worse attitude. The prices were outrageous for what we got. A small, round cake and 8 cupcakes cost a ridiculous amount, and they were inedible. The cake and cupcakes were hard as a rock, tasted disgusting, and were obviously stale and old. It's honestly sad that Corfu, NY, is stuck with a bakery like this. It's clear the staff feel entitled to sell disgusting desserts at absurd prices simply because they're the only option in town. I had to make my way to Byron from Buffalo and I don't have an EZ Pass yet, so I took the back roads. I'm so glad I did, because if I didn't, I wouldn't have stumbled upon this gem of a bakery and cafe in the Village of Corfu. On the way home, I parked on the street and realized from the door that they were technically closed. They close at 2pm on a Saturday and I arrived at 2:08pm. Fortunately, the door was unlocked, there were some teenagers eating at a table, and I asked if I could still get a sandwich. The owners were exceptionally nice and the gentleman said I could get a sandwich still. I opted for the roasted red pepper wrap. This establishment seems like a place that welcomes all and is a cozy little spot to grab something to eat and a cup of coffee and decompress. There were a variety of baked goods and breads and they looked divine. I went with the cranberry oatmeal cookie as a treat, but really wanted to try everything displayed. My sandwich didn't take long at all to make. It came with a pickle and a bag of chips. When I got home, about 40 minutes from this location, I ate half of the wrap. It was delicious. It had great flavor and I liked that the sundried tomatoes were the star of the sandwich. The sandwich contained roasted chicken, asiago cheese, baby greens, roasted red pepper sauce and the sundried tomatoes. Next, I tried the cranberry oatmeal cookie. Wow! I really enjoyed that cookie. They also had a molasses cookie I was eyeing, and next time I'll opt to try that along with a chocolate croissant, because who can turn down a chocolate croissant? Very pleasant experience here recently; this was my first time returning to the bakery in many, many years and I was looking for a super last minute anniversary cake for my parents. The owners were so nice and accommodated me in a snap and made a delicious, beautiful cake. The Cutest Tastiest Bakery in Town! I am there at least once a week on a Friday or Saturday for one of their delicious Apple or Cherry Turnovers and a coffee. They also make a point to make sure you have enough room in your coffee cup for cream and sugar. It's nice to have an affordable place that is locally owned for pastries, cupcakes and cakes! They also have breakfast and lunch sandwiches on the menu. I have not personally had them but my husband said they are delicious! Kent the owner and his staff are very personable. I love walking in and hearing the classical music at 6:45 am. They are open on Sundays "by chance" which means if the goodies are gone they are probably going to close soon. I suggest get there early, especially in the summer when Darien Lake is open. They also have the best Sweet Rolls ever. If you are driving through Corfu in the morning. On my way to Six Flags Darien Lake from Buffalo, I was glad to stop into this clean and little bakery in Corfu, which delivered an aromatic and delightful punch to the senses with aromas of freshly baked goods and fresh brewed coffee. Although small in size, the bakery was very reputable and selection both diversely sweet and savory. The staff was friendly, attentive, meticulous and generous. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with a very buttery and flakey croissant which was massive in size. The pesto sauce used on their eggs is delicious. Iced coffee was great and I was glad they carried non-dairy options, like almond milk. The owner gifted me an Apple streusel which prompted me to return the next day to order two more and a lemon pound cake slice- which were equally delicious. We made the detour from Alden to come here and it was worth the trip. I read that the paninis were amazing so that is what we ordered. Being vegetarian, there were no options for my husband, so they made him a veggie and cheese panini loaded with veggies - it was great. I had the rosemary chicken panini and it was cooked to perfection - crispy, buttery crust and hot gooey center. We also had a sample of their chocolate zucchini bread which would have been great on its own with a coffee. This spot is a true hidden gem. I got up early to drive all the way over here -20 miles round trip- for a Chai Tea and something for breakfast but what I left with was pure aggravation! I walked in the door at 6:50am and was immediately greeted by a very grumpy old man who said to me " Don't expect too much, i'm the only one here" in a rude tone. So I proceeded to say that I wanted a Vanilla Chai Latte and his response was "NO" again in a rude tone. Now I can be reasonable and understand things but when you are rude to a 1st and now last time customer, it's unacceptable. As I turned to walk out he said " my wife should be on her way soon" but again not in a warm friendly tone at all. I have eaten here several times and have been treated rudely. The service is brusque and unhelpful. When I asked to use the rest room my friends and I we were told "it isn't available." This has happened several times. We've ended up going over to the service station across the street where we were not customers. I agree the pastries, and other food offerings are good, but I believe that treating customers badly, (at least those who are not known to the owner) does not encourage return business. How did Corfu New York - a village in Western New York with a population of 709 (census 2010) get a cool urban hip bakery like this? Every citizen of Corfu should be paying respect to the restaurant gods for getting this little gem. Now, the other question is how do people from Toronto discover this place well - easy, it was on our way to Darien Lake amusement park which is a few miles away and I did a little research before hand on Yelp. We had a still warm rice crispy square and according to my son who is a self appointed expert calls it the best he has ever had. We also tried their cookies which was equally excellent. The bakery also has home made soups and sandwiches but we did not try. Now, the bizarre things is the hours of operation, it seems that they close at 2pm every weekday day and at noon on Saturdays. Love this bakery. Whenever possible I make it my "go to" stop for lunch and scrumptious baked goods.

We stopped after our Father/Father in Law, Grandpa's service at the new Western New York Veterans Cemetery to have a late lunch. (5 of us) We were extremely impressed with the quality and quantity of food we received, all at a reasonable price. The Rubens, Panini, and wrap we got were all excellent as well as the cookies, pastries, canoli, and My favorite Peach and Blueberry pie! I stop here routinely to pick up two loaves of their delicious white bread - which - according to my 94 yr old Mother, tastes as close to the homemade bread she and her Mother used to make as any bread she has tried (and trust me, she has tried a lot!) Let's put it this way, I have multiple gift cards for a large corporation cafe, let's call them Bim Morton's, that I simply don't use because they don't know my name, they don't give me an extra smile, or an extra Christmas cookie, instead the teenage robot drive through overlord chucks the frozen breakfast patty in the heater and then a bag and then after waiting in line with the others, in our running cars, the most personal interaction I had was with my straw that they gave me that I didn't want that'll inevitably spend the rest of its life either in the crotch of my car seat or a sea turtle. I return to my point, let's return together to admiring high quality local service, food, drink and baked goods at unreasonably low prices. Lastly, if you need more, please know I've never written a review for anything before, I hate the internets and I'm not interested in reading any more reviews. I wrote this because it seems to have some influence and it's the holidays and they really did give me an extra Christmas cookie. But that was just for me. So don't expect one yourself. Cute little hometown shop. The food is reasonably priced and tasted great! A nice little spot to stop for lunch or a social cup of coffee. There isn't a ton of seating, and there is only one bathroom. The staff was super friendly, and provided our lunch group with complimentary macaroons. Definitely worth a stop! read more
