I love their almond rings!! They have a small array of Italian cookies and some cannoli too. Sandwiches are decent but, I think they are just too expensive for regular trips there. And they have a tiny selection of Italian grocery items. Be prepared to spend at least $50 for barely anything...but usually far more than $50. read more

the sandwiches were huge and delicious,yes a bit pricey but have enough left for another lunch. had prosciutto and burrato sandwic, bread was absolutely amazing. Problem was service, and only one of the counter people- not friendly, brisk with replies. we were party of 3, only 1 bottle of water in fridge and she said they had no more this was lunchtime. asked for cups to share only bottle and she plunked them down on counter. needs some customer service training. Love this place and can't wait to come back. The ambiance is great- they have cute little cafe tables outside and the inside seating area feels like you are in the cutest cafe in Europe. Very comfortable and they have a TV inside as well. Inside the shop they have some Italian market items like pastas and sauces. They also have fresh then frozen pasta to purchase as well. The food is really the shinning star of the visit! We came early in the morning so they were serving a breakfast pizza on Pinsa crust and it was amazing- very crunchy yet soft and doughy as well. The eggs and sausage were spectacular. All around great flavor. They had so many baked goods I really had a hard time deciding. We tried a bit of everything since we weren't sure when we would be able to visit again. My favorite was the almond pastry (same dough and filling as the almond ring just smaller) and the cinnamon roll. They have different varieties each day but I chose the more traditional one- I believe it had some type of mascarpone cheese! So decadent! The staff were so nice and sweet, and also very helpful! Had been looking forward to checking this place out for a while. I noted it was a little bit expensive, but it had desserts, sandwiches and also seemed to be an Italian market. What could possibly be bad about this place? It really wasn't much of a Market and I wouldn't come here if I was looking to purchase pastas, olive oil, canned goods, etc.; there really wasn't a worthwhile selection. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. I don't eat pork and the selections were incredibly limited, due to that fact. I believe there was only about six sandwich choices and only one was without pork. So, my friend and I opted for a slice of pizza. It came to us, barely warm. I had been in the mood for pizza for quite a while, and was imagining some gooey, stringy mozzarella cheese. Instead, it was cold, dried and hard on the plus side the crust was crispy and I did like it. Drink choices were also quite limited. No large cooler with ice tea or soda choices. My friend chose coffee and I had a bottle of water. Desserts appeared to be premade and we ordered one each to take home. The owners have a great location here and an opportunity to have a thriving business. The patio is in need of attention and food quality vs. cost is out of line. read more

This past Sunday, January 25, 2026, prior to the winter storm, stopped in. The place redone was Italian authentic with fresh baked goods, large slices of pizza, cookies, gelato, a few Italian grocery items. The service, was just OK, didn't stand out, which was a draw back for being a new business. The staff were friendly, customer service normal. My two draw backs were if your going to sell grocery items, have items labeled with pricing. The young lady who took care of me, could have asked if there may have been an option for customers, that didn't necessarily want 3 or 4 cookies for a 1/4 lb for $6.00. Wolters, the bakery previous bakery, allowed for smaller purchases of cookies. The ambiance fit for Italian feel, wish the business all best and success. read more

We're always looking for good Italian bread so had to check out this new Italian market. They sell breads, baked goods, pizza, Gelato, and various grocery items. Not a huge selection but a bit of everything. Our only purchase today was bread. They sliced it for us but I thought the slices were too thin. I'm sure there must be an option for thicker slices. This is a great find in Williamsville. It's a counter service place with lots of options for sandwiches and desserts, all priced reasonably. It's more of a place to grab a sandwich and go rather than sit down and eat, although there is seating there too. I was able to get Limonata Siciliana, which is a rare find in Buffalo. I will definitely be going back again for another sandwich. It's really good Italian food on excellent bread and good desserts. read more

We should have read the reviews here before we went. Like others, we found most items didn't have prices. There was only one person working behind the counter. although there were only 2 people in front of us, the first one was still being waited on after we perused the entire store. we left. we don't shop places where the prices are not displayed, and wonder how they even get away with that. so disappointed. read more

This Italian bakery and food market is a great addition to the Williamsville NY area. Good authentic Italian pasteries and bread are very hard to find in or near Amherst. We will be shopping here often. Stopped in interested in a breakfast sandwich ended up leaving with an almond ring and 2 glorious slices of pizza! Both were assorted veggies so no meats this trip. I got everything to go but shared a slice of my almond ring with a fellow customer who had been eyeing it up. The friendly and patient woman behind the counter was nice enough to slice it for us. It is a nice big open space proudly displaying fresh offerings being bought out from the kitchen. From breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, various pastry items and bread loaves. My husband and I stopped by Forno E Mercado on a weekday we were off. I often drive to Canada including Toronto to get more traditional Italian groceries and food. It seems to be advertised as a traditional Italian cafe/lunch/market Unfortunately Forno e Mercado missed the mark, there were only a few groceries and not much selection at all in regard to this. We ended up ordering a selection of Italian cookies and gelato. We were interested in trying the bread but there was no list or prices on the bread. It seemed pizza was also available but we decided to forgo it after spending quite a bit on the sweet food items . The gelato was okay but the cookies were not too impressive and honestly not very traditional and were really small. I hadn't ever seen a cucidatti so tiny! We tried the cannoli as well which was probably the best food item we tried, we appreciated that they were filled fresh in the back upon ordering unlike many other places. Overall, I'm not quite sure what this place is going for since they really lacked authentic Italian groceries, and they do have a cafe type vibe with gelato, cookies, bread and pizza although overall all was lackluster. read more

Stopped in yesterday/Saturday at 4:45 pm. The gelato case had been emptied already, even though the hours indicate they are open until 6:00 pm. There were a few pizza slices available and plenty of cookies and packaged sweets. Someone was at the counter but never acknowledged us. After several minutes we left.
