Hot tea on a rainy morning in a lovely coffee shop window seat is one of the best things. Buy things made by creative people. Eat tasty food. Then take a stroll over the bridge. It's worth the drive from wherever you are.

This cute little coffee joint is affiliated with the nearby Bed & Breakfast, otherwise I don't know if we would've stopped in. Either way, I'm glad I did! The staff is so pleasant and friendly that I'm sure I could spend all day here. It's bright, clean, and the food is on point. In addition to all sorts of pastries, smoothies, and wraps, they'll make you an absolutely delightful bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on fresh ciabatta. It's so good that the lying strumpet you call your girlfriend -- who swore she wasn't hungry -- will steal bite after bite until you need to buy another to satisfy your inexhaustible appetite.

The "Scottsvillian" tuna sub and a cup of Thai Fire soup. Fresh and delicious!

Been here so many times and it is just a comfortable place to be. Ive eaten breakfast sandwiches, subs, soups and pastries. Very good quality fresh food. I am so happy to have this place in my neighborhood. I go for a walk around the block and always carry my refill mug. Many times I get a breakfast sandwich too. See my photos all were delicious but my new favorite is the florentine although the sandwich to the 4th power is great too (love pesto). For lunch I really like the Scottsvillian tuna sub. Their specialty soups are incredible as well. Price is a little higher than average but for the quality and taste it's worth it.

Wonderful small town coffeeshop with the best to offer. Delicious coffee, baked goods and breakfast fare. Live music during the week too! The staff is pleasant and always ready to make a suggestion on what's the best, I've never been disappointed with anything on the menu!

I had a cup of Italian wedding soup. It was very tasty, not salty as some places like to do. A nice place to relax and have lunch.

Staff were pretty quick to clean up tables so there was always somewhere to sit down. The Iced Mango Matcha Latte was my favorite, where you can taste a sweet matcha flavor with a hint of mango. All of the desserts looked delicious, but what peaked my interest was the Pistachio Croissant. They warm it up for you, which allows for the croissant to have that flakey crunch to it paired with the pistachio paste.

It looks like has gold accents dripping among a natural wood, white and tile backdrop. Whenever I drive by the parking lot is slammed. I knew this place had to be good. There is almost completely instantly a line and I felt lucky to find a table. It's simply so popular, I don't know if it's large enough. The tables are close so if you're trying to have a private conversation-you won't get it here. There is a variety of seating options. Comfy conversation chairs, a booth banquette with chairs on the other side, chairs and tables, and a bar top along the windows with outside eating for warm sunny days. The cups are a rich brown color with gold probably Arabic writing. The dessert case is filled with sumptuous fruit shaped mousse desserts. The coffee itself is beyond compare. There are boxed games. Things are delivered to your table on wooden trays. It's so elegant. I cannot say enough nice things. The staff is so friendly. I had a Nutella latte and a raspberry dessert. I asked which dessert was best, the lady at the register said the mango. Mango is not my thing but she said next best is raspberry. It's the perfect size. A hard crisp shell, creamy mousse and a perfect raspberry center. I also got a pistachio latte. Both were excellent.

I always like to look for espresso specials and we were not disappointed by the selection. My fiance got The Snug with maple syrup and molasses bitters. I was too afraid to try any drinks with bitters (I hate how it tastes in cocktails) but I took a sip of The Snug and it tasted great, I would definitely try that next time. I had the B.B.L. latte which had banana syrup, it was more on the sweet side but not overly sweet (I would avoid it if you don't enjoy a sweet palate, try a latte with bitters instead!) It was something unique to try and I was happy with my choice. There was also plenty of seating which is always a huge plus in the winter in Rochester. We had no trouble getting a table. I should also note that there was a very limited food selection here -- about 3 baked goods offered. So if you're looking for food and coffee, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Overall I would happily try out Ugly Duck again! I'm curious if they have outdoor seating in the warmer months.

I'm not sure I'd consider this a good place to study, but it's a nice place to catch up with friends or take a pause outside with a good drink on a patio. The seating inside is somewhat limited, but the patio is beautiful. The buildings will provide natural shade in the afternoon. Parking can also be difficult and limited.
