We contacted one of the contractors a few weeks later and finished the project with them in about 2 months. I highly recommend the Virtual Consultation for smaller projects with Matt. Their unlimited revisions were a huge advantage for someone like me who loves diving deep into design details. Achva's design instincts are spot on -- her guidance on the louvre placement and overall layout truly elevated the space. They also suggested furniture pieces and styling ideas, which helped me make great choices when I did my own shopping. Their recommended contractors were excellent, but the pricing was higher than I expected. To stay within budget, I decided to manage the entire project myself with separate contractors. The final design had replaced the custom fountain with a more budget-friendly option, but on request they were kind enough to share the original custom fountain design, which I built with my contractor at a much lower price. The whole project was very time consuming and hard work, but it saved a lot of cost, and the result was incredibly rewarding. Due to some misunderstandings, we decided to part ways amicable, so they couldn't continue with the front/side yard phase -- but they still provided the initial concepts that I can use in the future. Overall, Vision to Completion delivered a thoughtful, contemporary design that became the blueprint for a transformation I'm truly proud of. Our new backyard is gorgeous, and the details of our experience tell the story. We worked closely with Danny, the on-site supervisor, who is a top-notch professional. He knows his plants and hardscape, pays attention to every detail, and manages his crew with great efficiency. The crew worked as hard as any I've ever seen, and they did everything--digging out enormous tree roots, setting flagstone for our patio, installing irrigation and lighting, moving boulders--you name it. They showed up every day and even worked several Saturdays to get the job finished on time and before we had to travel. These guys were terrific, and I can't thank them enough for the tremendous effort they put into both the demolition and the complete recreation of our backyard. Marcus, the office manager, was also great to work with. He took us out to select our patio stone, river rock, and boulders, and was patient and generous with his time as we made decisions throughout the project. Replacing just the slabs takes quite a bit of precision and skill, so I was really glad they were willing to take this project on. There was some confusion at the beginning around scheduling, but once I brought it up, they adjusted quickly. Samuel then took over the project, and that really changed the experience for the better. We also ran into a misunderstanding around the scope of work and an additional cost that initially felt much higher than expected, to the point where I was considering cancelling the project. Samuel took the time to listen to my concerns, work through everything with me, and come up with a fair price. When the final scope ended up being a little less than anticipated, he even reduced the price further, which I really appreciated. He also sent two technicians to make up for the initial delay and get the work completed quickly. The doors turned out great, and the job was finished much faster than I expected.
