The listing for this exact location says "pets welcome," so I felt confident stopping by. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two customers fawning over my dog. Before any staff member greeted me or even acknowledged me as a customer, someone from behind the far counter told me that dogs were not allowed inside. I mentioned that their Google listing says pets are welcome, and the response was that it applies to a different location. That would be fine if it were clear, but the listing I checked had this location's address directly underneath "pets welcome." That is confusing and misleading. What made it more frustrating was the lack of hospitality. There was no greeting, no attempt to clarify kindly, no "We're sorry for the confusion," and no effort to offer a solution like helping me quickly order to go. It felt dismissive. Clear and accurate information matters. If pets are not welcome at this location, the listing should reflect that. I drove out of my way based on that detail, and it ended up being a waste of time and gas. I had visited this place when it first opened and I could tell that they were on their learning curve, so I decided to hold off revisiting. Today I learned that there is a new ownership, going on 3 months. And the new manager owner brings with him four years experience, managing coffee shops in Fredericksburg plus other coffee related projects. They are now using the most excellent. It is actually filthy underneath the initial beautiful surface. It came to the point that I feel icky being there. I hope the owners (and responsible management) take action prior to seeing declining sales and profit.
