Sunday Press is such a nice spot to grab a pastry and coffee whether that is midweek or on the weekend first thing in the morning. Elegant decor and spacious, you can sit and work here and at night the Sunday press serves more cocktails and their drive thru closes. Service is good and their quality in pastries is great. They serve very popular croissants swirl circle shaped that always sell out!

Ummm...I haven't been here in months. Apparently they added a Social Club for evenings. I am not digging the color scheme and bar added to this place. It feels cluttered and like two different brands in one open space. It used to be fluid when you walk in with earthy tones and small business sold their artistic creations in the space they added a bar. The food was Meh, except for the Latte which was very nice and not bold. The morning loaf was also good. The breakfast was just ok. I think I will continue to return for the salads and coffee. Service was really good by the young man that helped me.

I really enjoy Sunday Press. I have stopped by for breakfast and I also have ordered catering and I've loved all of my food and drink options. I highly recommend the Matcha Chia seed pudding, the apple cinnamon, overnight oats, and the circular croissants. I think the egg salad Sando is great. I really like the egg frittata bites. I will say their breakfast tacos are average. They have a nice parking lot out front and the staff is always super nice. Next time I go, I wanna check out the bar.

Ordered through 3 times. First order - went great. Second order - very good. Received a medium Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. Third order - delicious. Their club sandwich is delicious. Their sausage egg frittata bites are delicious. Their Dubai chocolate strawberry cup - yum! But pricey!

Where coffee meets cocktail. A chilly Thursday night calls for a calming atmosphere and a cozy drink. The best mixologists Brandon G and Brandon Y were on duty and they did not disappoint. They are so personable, kind and welcoming. My friend and I ordered a few cocktails and some food to share. The wagyu sliders and truffle fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The matcha mama is top tier. I thought I wasn't a matcha girl until I tried it here in December! And the sultry decadence that is the carajillo just elevated the night into pure bliss. Come in catch a vibe, sip a drink and taste the food. I'm sure if the ambience doesn't get you the customer service and fresh flavors will.

Aesthetically, Sunday press is still gorgeous. The green, burgundy and wood tones with detailed rounded typeface, and rounded edge decor to match, creates a space that feels fresh and well, cool. Business was bustling when I stopped in for a tea, and I was happy to find their tea menu is just as robust as their coffee program! Cheers to the variety, and thoughtful inclusions. While a few folks were puttering away on their laptops, most were with others chatting and laughing away. I don't think I'd come to study but I'd come for a caffeine break with a friend! In addition to the robust coffee program, they have a room for rent, and plenty of sweet and savory snacks to enjoy. This trip the service was...just service. No real smiles, employees talked amongst one another in front of me, but they got the job done of taking my order. Although I've yet to try Sunday Social, seeing the new bar peaked my interest!

Solid place to grab a quick breakfast and some good coffee :) They are fast and efficient and the ambiance is both retro and modern. You have the classic diner vibes but also upscale furnishings and comfort. Really makes for a great and relaxing space. Their shot of espresso was on point. Not too bitter, with some nice complex flavors. The Egg Salad Sando was good as well. Creamy and chunky, I love the inclusion of chives to give it that slight onion flavor. Overall, solid place I would come back to :)

Unfortunately, my experience aligned with the few reviews I just read. I was so excited to try the crookie--I woke up craving it! I searched for places that offered it, and Sunday Press came up, plus they had chicken and waffles, which my boyfriend wanted. The shop was cute and fairly busy when we entered, and I loved the bakery display--very pretty. The vibe felt perfect for a Sunday morning brunch, whether after a workout or just waking up and wanting some baked goods. However, while we waited in line, the employees didn't pass the vibe check, chatting loudly about personal issues, cussing, and even joking (I think) about "beating each other up." After we ordered, my name was called for the crookie in about five minutes. I usually use a fork and knife for croissants since they're typically flaky and buttery, and this helps with the mess. But as soon as my fork touched this croissant, it felt like a rock. I couldn't pierce it with the fork, and even trying to bite into it didn't work--it was way too hard. I told the staff member who called my order that I couldn't bite into it. She offered to get me another, but when she told the girl warming them up (the same one making aggressive comments earlier), I overheard her say, "That's how they're made," with an eye roll. Since I'd heard that, I went to the counter and asked not to get another one if they were all like that. I requested a different croissant, but she mentioned it was more expensive. The crookie that I ordered was $10, while the hazelnut swirl croissant was $8.75, so ??? AND we'd already left a hefty tip despite the counter service. It felt like they just weren't interested in making things right, so I requested a refund and left it at that. The chicken and waffles were good, but I don't know if I'd wait in line for a hard croissant again when that's usually my main reason for visiting bakeries.

    Cappuccino for $4.75

Sunday Press is a stylish and spacious cafe in Garden Oaks with a vibe that transports you to a different decade. The retro-modern interior is beautiful, and the private parking lot (plus a drive-through) makes it super convenient. I recently visited with my wife and 15-month-old son, and we appreciated the family-friendly setup, including high chairs. Coffee-wise, I ordered a cappuccino ($4.75), which was good. For lunch, I tried the Tomato Basil Soup with grilled cheese ($16). The soup was excellent--rich and comforting--but the grilled cheese left something to be desired. It wasn't cut for easy dipping, the bread was unevenly toasted, and the texture was a bit hard in places. The cheese itself was solid, but I expected better quality. I'd love to see them cut their grilled cheese diagonally and use a better bread. We also got a Lemon Blueberry Loaf ($5.75) for our son, and I ended up sneaking a bite--it was amazing. Moist, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Their pastry case is full of tempting options, and everything looked fresh and high quality. Still, Sunday Press stands out with its broad menu of food, pastries, and now cocktails thanks to their Sunday Social bar addition. With co-owners Cassie Ghaffar and Sandy Nguyen also behind Saigon Hustle next door, it's clear this spot is part of a growing local scene. I'd definitely return to try more.

The atmosphere was so cute! The food was delicious as well! I ordered the chorizo and potato breakfast taco and they were both very flavorful. That sauce that it came with was a nice addition. This is not a five star for me because I felt like it was a bit pricey and the service was a bit lackluster and disorganized. I had to ask twice about the status of my chorizo taco. If I didn't ask, they would have forgotten about me and my order. The blueberry bread was incredible!

The listing for this exact location says "pets welcome," so I felt confident stopping by. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two customers fawning over my dog. Before any staff member greeted me or even acknowledged me as a customer, someone from behind the far counter told me that dogs were not allowed inside. I mentioned that their Google listing says pets are welcome, and the response was that it applies to a different location. That would be fine if it were clear, but the listing I checked had this location's address directly underneath "pets welcome." That is confusing and misleading. What made it more frustrating was the lack of hospitality. There was no greeting, no attempt to clarify kindly, no "We're sorry for the confusion," and no effort to offer a solution like helping me quickly order to go. It felt dismissive. Clear and accurate information matters. If pets are not welcome at this location, the listing should reflect that. I drove out of my way based on that detail, and it ended up being a waste of time and gas. Because of that experience, I chose not to patronize the this location but may try another location one day.

The nuttiness of the sesame goes SOOO well with the espresso taste and it's a good creaminess too. I also like the texture of the bits of sesame seeds in the drink. The aesthetic of the cafe is modern with street-style flairs, it's a really cool space. I also love that there are Filipino flavors on the menu like ube and pandan. Most workers are super nice and say your name like they know you. They're also super attentive to ensure that everything with your order is perfect. Jonah was very welcoming and helpful, making sure we got a menu while in line! The weekdays seem to be better for wait-time, with little to no wait. The weekends however are packed and usually have lines. If you're not a line person, I would definitely come on a weekday. TwoTone is probably the best specialty coffee you can get in Houston, especially in terms of Asian flavors and creaminess. If it was closer to inner Houston, I would probably come here everyday.

The doctor's office actually recommended this cafe the last time that I came to see them. My initial impression was great. They have very comfortable chairs and large tables for people to do whatever they need to get done. I sat down with the matcha latte that came with their authentic house honey matcha. I was handed an actual ceramic coffee mug, not some paper cup that they chain coffee stores give you. My beloved Boomtown RIP…read more This pains me to write. Different is certainly not always better, especially when what you had was already working. I much prefer the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. To the people who bought this place, I know your motto is "different is better," but please stop taking that so literally. You do not have to change every aspect of this place to make it different. The best thing about getting your everyday local coffee is seeing the same baristas you've seen over and over again, familiar faces who know you by name. This was one of those places where I'd hate to admit how much money I've spent here, and I did it happily. In just three weeks, our beloved spot, one I would willingly drive out of my way for, has gone so far downhill that I barely recognize it. From the eyesore taco warmer that practically knocks you in the face while you're ordering, replacing a space that once showcased lovely things like fresh flowers and local trinkets, to the disappearance of the wonderful local treats from Sinfull Bakery that kids genuinely enjoyed. At first I thought maybe you were just out, but after three weeks it became clear that expenses were being cut across the board and those items may never come back. And where do I even begin. The new oat milk is terrible. It completely changes the look and taste of the coffee and is immediately noticeable. I won't harp on the change of hours or the change in flavor of your coffee beans, but I feel it must be mentioned because, well, it's noticeable. And now the cleanliness. Spilled taco sauce all over the floor, and when your kid points it out, you know you're in trouble at that point. Dishes piled so high they're overflowing, dirty restrooms. And to be clear, this isn't the staff's fault, there is simply not enough staff to keep up with these things. Never ever in seven years of being a frequent visitor has it been this bad. I also noticed the new coffee packaging, and it's just another reminder that the heart and thoughtfulness that once defined this place are gone. At this rate I half expect robots handing me my latte in a few weeks so you can save a few more bucks. And getting rid of Toast. Even if Toast was an expensive platform to use, it was legitimately so convenient. And dang, if you're going to do away with it, don't replace it with the worst possible ordering system ever, one that doesn't even work. Do you know how many orders I wouldn't have placed if it weren't for Toast? Toast made those orders possible when I didn't have time to wait. Without it, I simply wouldn't have ordered. I understand times are tough for many businesses, but you all were booming. The new online ordering system doesn't work. You may as well do away with it altogether because this one just isn't it. Honestly, I am devastated. You knocked it out of the park in every area, cleanliness, service, food. I never had a single bad item on the menu. The coffee was beyond. When my family moved out of the city a year and a half ago, I still drove 35 minutes one way just to get your food and coffee, over an hour round trip again and again. I don't think you understand how this new direction has driven this place into the ground in a matter of three weeks. Sadly all good things must come to an end.
