Let me start by saying this: I've had trust issues with dentists since 1992. It was a traumatic experience! At my big age, I still need someone to hold my hand just to make it through an appointment. Basically, I only go when I'm forced and after two weeks of being sick then out of no where not able to eat or drink without pain meds, I was definitely forced. From check in to check out, Artistic Dentistry made me feel more at ease than I thought possible. The waiting area has comfy chairs, drinks, and a TV. They even offer a blanket and a warm neck pillow, I was even able to control the music in my treatment room. The dental assistant was patient and tried his best to keep me calm after my X-rays. Then Dr. Emdin came in. He broke everything down for me; what was going on in my mouth, how it was affecting my body, and why I'd been so sick. Let's just say: just because it doesn't hurt doesn't mean it isn't hurting you and it was doing just that until I started feeling pain. When we went over my treatment plan, I was terrified. But Dr. E reassured me that not only was he good at what he does, but that I wouldn't feel much pain. A week later, I came back with my anxiety on 100, tears ready to flow. (You want to see me cry? Come to a dentist appointment with me, thats the only time you'll see it in real time). He had to remove my wisdom tooth and the one next to it (an old root canal), clean out the infection that was causing all of this unnecessary drama in my life, plus do a bone graft and stitches. The worst part? The numbing shots. I think he had to stick me 7-8 times before I was fully numb. But once that was done... I didn't feel a thing. I went home a little swollen and toothless with aftercare. My post op appointment was smooth as Dr E removed my stitches and examined my gums. Dr. E is personable, easy to talk to, and somehow managed to make me comfortable while I was wildly uncomfortable (if that makes sense). I still can't say Im over my fear of the dentist, but I actually scheduled a follow up with him in February. For me, that's saying a lot. My first appointment with this practice surpassed any expectation I had. I've gone to dentists who 'do' connecting with clients. This practice connects with clients! They are genuinely concerned about you! Then came the diagnosis I was dreading - periodontal disease. Yes - it is active. But the price for initial treatment is about $500. Unlike a previous Houston Dental practice I visited in December who quoted me a price of $4,500!!! Happy?!? Delirious Fast forward to May 23,2019 Cleaning with Antoinette- she is stellar!!!! BEWARE when this practice advises that you need a deep cleaning. Do your due diligence first and get a second opinion before you agree. The dental hygienist said I needed a deep cleaning and I got it done b/c I trusted her. Less than 4 months later for a post-deep cleaning check-up, the same hygienist said I needed another one. That is when I decided to get a second opinion and the new dentist said my gums and teeth were in fantastic shape. I will say I had some fillings done here and Dr. Nimri did a wonderful job but please BEWARE when additional services are deemed as "essential or required". They lost a two year patient because of this. read more

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GO HERE!! They will do anything they can to charge you for services you do not need. I would get a second opinion before you pay out of pocket for any treatment here. I had been a patient for a year (3 visits). I have been to the dentist every 6 months for routine cleaning for at least the past 10-15 years with no issues, including 2 visits to this dentist. My last visit was January 18. The receptionist manages to call me by the wrong name when she's asking for my insurance information - not sure how that is when she has my information right in front of her. Okay, I can live. I go in for my exam. The dentist advises that I get a night guard (around $370) because I grind my teeth (no.. I don't). She also advises that I need a gingival scale ($150) (aka a deep cleaning) and laser treatment/irrigation (almost $300) because my teeth have so much plaque/tartar they cannot clean/polish my teeth at this appointment. Then, the financial counselor lady is going over financials/payment for my "treatment." I tell her I cannot pay almost $1000 dollars for these services at once. She goes on to tell me that if I can't afford the laser treatment, that it is optional but I really need to get the deep cleaning. Oh, that's odd. She's not a dentist. How does she know what treatment is optional and what is not? Weird. My co-worker (who has also gone 3 visits) goes the next week and is recommended a mouth guard and a deep cleaning as well. I've since gone to another dentist for a second opinion and cleaning with NO ISSUES - perfect teeth. When I explained the situation to the second dentist, they just laughed and said they were not surprised to hear what happened to me at this office. I would not recommend this practice AT ALL. read more

Dr. Nimri was awesome but this office really tries to squeeze every dime possible out of their patients. My first appt. I was told I need a deep clean for $20 more. This would be fine, except insurance doesn't cover a deep clean unless you have gum disease. So I was billed again after my appointment even after the office assured me of the cost. On top of that when I went to pay (my second bill for the same appointment) with cash I was told they didn't have enough change (I only needed $5 back) what a joke. Later I needed a tooth smoothed so I called and was told I would have to pay for an emergency visit which is $65 and possibly for xrays and any work done after that. I explained how minor it was but there no change in their approach. So I went to Unique dental, they got me in the same day, did a great job, and charged me absolutely nothing to smooth out the rough tooth. Artistic Dentistry has a great dentist and good assistants but atrocious office staff. I wish they would try harder to keep patients instead of trying to get as much money as possible from every patient. read more

Only giving 3 starts because my hygienist (Antoinette) was really sweet. Very beautiful office but I felt like I was there way too long (over an hour) for a cleaning. They kept trying to convince me I needed special treatments when I insisted I just needed a cleaning. I am a dental hygiene fanatic I know I don't have serious problems. I kept having to sign waivers saying I was "refusing service". My cleaning was fine but I really didn't feel "clean" after. Didn't have that "minty fresh" feeling that you usually get after visiting the dentist. read more

Dr. Nimri and Dr. Motti are both great dentist. They are very flexible with there schedule and does everything to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Dr. Nimri is fantastic! All the support staff are so helpful and professional, too. I could not be more pleased. I have had a cleaning, root canal and a crown placed since I moved here -- no problem with anything. You do not have to wait if you make an appointment -- and they have appointments late in the afternoon and on weekends! My wife and I have lived in Denver, Atlanta, Memphis, and now Houston -- it sure is nice to find a great dentist -- it is always nerve wracking to go to a new dentist, but Dr. Nimri is professional and concerned about your comfort. read more

I've been coming to this dentist office for the past 2 years and I have to say I love them. The staff is always so friendly, inviting and cheerful. Usually you would think it is only one person, but no its everyone. Zahraa was amazing getting me prepped for the hygienist my last visit, and really everyone. They give a reason to smile and show those teeth! Anyway, definitely recommend. read more

We have had very good experiences in this office! The staff is kind and helpful and the office is very clean and comfortable. Dr. Nimri is also great with kids! When she gave my daughter an oral injection to numb her in preparation for a filling, my daughter didn't even realize she was getting a shot! My kids have only had positive experiences even though we've dealt with both fillings and crowns. The waiting time has never been long for us and my kids always look forward to coming. read more

Every experience I have had at this office has been horrible. They are highly unprofessional and dishonest. They remind me of a car repair shop that lies about what is wrong to make extra money. As background, I go to the dentist every 6 months for my routine cleaning. I brush my teeth twice a day, but I admit to not flossing regularly. I started visiting their office since it was close to where I work. When I went in for my routine cleaning they did x-rays, cleaned my teeth, and the dentist performed her exam. During my exam from the Dentist I was informed that I have 8 cavities. This came as a shock to me, because 6 months earlier at my previous dentist I had no cavities and no issues. Since my insurance covers 80% of what they charge I only had the 3 worst worked on based on their recomendations. This all occurred on 1/31/13 and teeth no. 02, 29, & 31 were worked on. Since this seemed very fishy to me, during my visit with my MD, DDS for my wisdom teeth, I asked that he look at the teeth the Dentist identified as cavities. He said that the identified teeth from my EOB by the dentist were not cavities that need to be filled. I was informed that 2 out of the 5 remaining "cavities" could be argued as surface cavities and the patient should be asked if they want them removed for preventative purposes. The dentist and workers at the front desk at Artistic Dentistry clearly informed me that these 5 remaining cavities needed to be addressed soon or else I would need to have my teeth pulled. On top of the doom and gloom bait tactic, they also were withholding credits from me. When it came down to paying they did not inform me that I had a credit or apply it to my new charge. When I received my EOB at a later date, the insurance company informed me that I overpaid and that Artistic Dentistry owes me. I had to call and ask Artistic Dentistry for my money back. The third problem I have had was in regards to the last visit in October of this year. I went in for a routine cleaning and they wanted to do another x-ray. Since I had my x-rays done in January I asked if the insurance would cover these, since I can only have 1 done a year. They said they called the insurance company and now I can have 2 done every 12 months. Based on this new information I allowed them to do the x-ray since they said they needed them. About a month later I get a bill from Artistic Dentistry saying I owe them for the x-ray, since insurance doesn't cover 2 every 12 months. Since this is a complete contradiction from what they told me I gave them a call. I was told that the insurance agent provided them the wrong information, but I still have to pay them. I called the insurance company and they said to have the Dentist office call to find out who they spoke with and if they did inform them incorrectly they would be financially responsible. I relayed this to Artistic Dentistry and they said they would reach out to the insurance company. I then called them a month later after not hearing back, and they have not called the insurance company and still want me to pay for the mistake caused by the insurance company. Based on these experiences I have learned that Artistic Dentistry is a dishonest practice. I would stay as far away from here and take your business elsewhere. The Doctors should have better integrity and their workers should not be so lazy. I have now started going to another practice in my area and couldn't be happier. They are upfront, honest, and perform great work. Hopefully Artistic Dentistry will get their act together. read more

I have been to several dentist in my lifetime and this place is by far the best. They always treat me with respect and they always make sure that I feel comfortable and that I don't feel any pain. I have had a lot of work done here and finally had a visit with no cavities! I also take all 3 of my children to them and my children love it! Ranging from ages 11 to 5. Today I finally had an old Crown replaced, that was put on by a different dentist over 16 years ago. The crown that she replaced was way too large for my mouth and it's always been an eyesore to me. But thanks to Artistic Dentistry now that is not the case. I definitely recommend this place for any of your dentist or oral surgeon needs. One last thing I want to add is that they are very informative and they always let you know every single option you have and they explain it very well and give you the cost and break it all down for you into simple terms. read more
