I have been going with them for about 3 years, they are great, Nancy my hygienist its very nice and always explains everything and make sure im are comfortable.I have done there cleanings, crowns, deep cleaning, all good. Dr. Bove its very nice too and I have never felt they push for services not needed. The only bad thing is that they are always busy and booked so, if i miss an appointment its hard to get another one fast. Bu still think is worth it. read more

The practice gets sold to a different dentist every year, or at least that's what's happened for the past 4 years. In the last year, before I switched to another dentist, I saw 3 different dentists and 3 different hygienists at Insight! One of the hygienists was a crazy temp who really hurt me when she cleaned my teeth. The visit after that, they told me that I needed $8,000 in painful and expensive dental work, so I got a second opinion who disagreed. I'll never go back. read more

It's sad and frustrating to see the dental office you've used the last 10 years decline in quality and professionalism. Dr Crabtree was a excellent dentist but unfortunately he passed and a group took over this office. They were ok at first but as of last year or perhaps since Dr. above took over the whole place is terrible! I've had perfect teeth for years, "mostly in part bcs Dr Crabtree and his staff helped" but last year I went in for a routine checkup and cleaning and left with more issues! Dr.Bove has terrible bed side manners and to be honest I believe she doesn't know what she's doing. The front desk is also a mess. I continue to have issues with what the apparently "corrected." It's enough that I plan on filing a complaint with the state. I know dental appts are difficult to obtain in such a big city but do yourself a favor and wait for a real professional! read more

My how things have changed ! The current dentist is EXTREMELY rude and has a horrible Attitude she would make an amazing car salesman though ! All she tried to do was sell me this and demand I need that and have the front desk print up a nice expensive "treatment plan". The front desk is 2 women that look like that don't even want to be there I walked in for my scheduled teeth cleaning that was booked wrong, the receptionist just looked at my dumb founded and asked did I want to reschedule as if I have so much free time, this used to be a positive respected environment, unfortunately it is no longer . Went here for years..were great...last time I went..new young female dentist...I needed a extraction of a tooth that was very loose..I had insurance that covered the extraction in full... When I was in chair....young lady extorted me out of $200 for a procedure I did not need! I ask her to just pull the painful tooth...but she would only do if I paid a extra $500 above what the insurance would pay! I told her no....eventually after 30 min of arguing with her she reduced the extortion to $200. I did not need or want a bone graph at that time....but the pain was very bad...so I paid! The office staff is lovely and the dentists were nice, but if I am going to spend thousands of dollars in my teeth, I expect them to work on the teeth I tell them to work on. Five months of visits, only to find out that they not only didn't work on the tooth they told me they would work on - the tooth I authorized them to work on - but they have no record of it at all. They did, however, work on a tooth I did not consent to. When I called my dental insurance to report this situation, I found out that they either never have or have yet to bill there. They've had my money since this treatment plan started five months ago, but they've failed to report it to the insurance. Did they ignore my insurance completely and bill me full price? I guess we will see. As important as teeth are, I will never go back to a dental office that decides upon themselves to perform unauthorized surgery. read more

Instead of talking about what I really need to do, such as cavity etc, the doctor recommended me to get a nightguard, which costs hundreds of dollors, and botox, which I am personally so not interested in. Now that I have dental insurance this was one of the businesses that is in the network. I chose them due to proximity to my house and reviews. First and foremost parking is right in front of the building. The front staff was courteous and Nancy the dental hygienist came to get me. She was punctual. Nancy was nice and not rough. After the cleaning, Dr. Bove approached. He obviously read my registration papers and mentioned my job. He suggested botox for my TMJ and a night guard. He says botox has been highly successful for TMJ patients. I don't know about botox though. As I left, the lady that checked me out and gave me an appointment to be fitted for my occlusal nightguard was very nice. I hope this dental practice is part of the dental network next year as I found the dental insurance through the healthcare marketplace. read more

Referred my mom to this location - they did some work and it was faulty. She went back and they did not offer to help with the repair and basically said she was on her own. I've had some problems with one of my fillings and will not be going back. I called to cancel and let them know I was displeased (Bianca) and she said "okay, thank you!"- did not ask for feedback, offer to let me speak with someone or recognized the fact that they had a dissatisfied customer. When told her lack of concern was upsetting, she again said "okay, thank you!" and I hung up. Terrible customer service, and no desire to sustain the relationship. So disappointed. read more

After an exhaustive search for a dentist on my plan, I had almost given up. But a broken filling prompted me to book an appointment immediately, and I feel fortunate to have landed at Insight Dental with Dr. Bové. As it turned out, I needed a root canal, and Dr. Bové fit me into the schedule immediately. He put me at ease with a mix of humor and thorough explanation of the process ahead. He and the rest of the staff are courteous and prompt with appointments. They even offer a $99 whitening tray special with free refills on the whitening gel. Score! But the most impressive experience was getting a follow-up call from Dr. Bové himself to check in on how the tooth was and to see if I had any questions or concerns. If you have a lot of time to waste, this is the place to go. During my first visit for my annual checkup, i had to make my appt for a month out. Then to find out they only have time to do x-rays and look at my teeth and I would have to come back for the cleaning. Before my second appt, they called to move my appt because the dentist was no longer available. So I show up to my second appt 10 minutes early because I'm courteous and don't like to waste other people's time only to spend the next hour after my appt time warming the seats in the waiting room. The receptionists ask if I want to reschedule. No, because 1) you already asked me to pay 2) who knows when you'll be able to schedule me. The dentist had decent bedside manners and did a good job. But not worth the agony of waiting for eternity. read more

I am with this place for about 2years already. My primary dentist is Dr. Bove. I am very happy with the professionalism of the personnel, ease of booking, pricing. They are always helpful in urgent situations. For example, recently I have broken a tooth (have no idea how it happened, probably because of the braces), and the administrator helped me to book it for the next day. So next day I already had a consultation and tooth fixed. Another good thing is that dr makes follow up calls quite often. This is very nice as I can raise my concerns and clarify some questions during the call, and for free. This place does not want your business. I had to call 3 times before someone answered the phone, and I had to wait 5 minutes to talk to anyone. At the end, I couldn't schedule an appointment! Yesterday I tried to schedule my first appointment, the lady indicated I had to contact my insurance first to have them as my primary provider. I called my insurance and they made the change and told me it would be effective as of the 1st of next month but they were faxing all my info so I could schedule an appointment. I called today and the lady gave me a big "No No No"... she cut me off as I was trying to speak and said I should call back in a couple of months to schedule! Waste of time!!! I came to see Dr. Crabtree, however no one told me that this doctor passed away a few years ago! I came in for an exam and feeling, and got nothing done! Some female Indian Dr took a short look at my teeth and refereed to another doctor (specialist) to do something that seemed to be so easy (even the specialist I saw later was surprised that I was referred to see him). I was forced to find a new dentist after my previous one, whom I loved, retired. I went to several different places and settled for awhile on one, but soon grew suspicious of this other place when at each visit they found some different problem (cavities, gum problems, etc.). This was after having excellent dental health for years. After the suggestion that I needed an expensive deep cleaning (after regularly visiting the dentist ever 6 months for most of my life), I decided to get a second opinion. This was when I found Insight Dental. I chose them because of their proximity to my home but also because they have (or are owned by) dentists who are women. I found this to be a rare occurrence in dental offices, and it was important to me to support women in these roles. I was able to easily make and appointment, and Dr. Abdou performed an exam and said that I absolutely did not need the expensive deep cleaning suggested by the other dentist. This gained my trust, missing out on an easy opportunity to make money. Since then, I've been a happy patient of Insight Dental for about two years now. I rarely have to wait even when I arrive early for my appointments. The one time I had to wait, the receptionist quickly let me know that they were running behind and how long I could expect to wait, which turned out to be about right. My regular hygienist, Bea, and all the rest of the staff are very professional, courteous, helpful, and friendly. I can ask exhaustive questions, and they have been patient and willing to answer all of them each time. Also, they have REALLY reasonable prices on whitening products. As of June 2014, they had this really great program where if you buy the whitening trays, you receive a free tube of bleach at each 6 month cleaning. They also now have Zoom whitening at a really great rate. I recommend Insight Dental to anyone looking for a dentist. read more

However, the new dentist has a horrible attitude and super rude. I have had plenty of dental work over my life time and I have never had such a bad experience before. She didn't explain anything about any process and everytime I asked her questions, she simply got mad and answered in a very rude and very disrespectful manner. I felt very uncomfortable and intimidated. On top of these, I wasn't satisfied with the dental work she has done and it took 3 months to have my permanent crowns! Great place to get your pearly whites even more pearlescent! Theu are located in a suit upstairs. Their office is very clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff is excellent - friendly and courteous! I look forward to this visit every 6 months because my hygienist is very sweet and gentle with her work. She makes a moderate amount of small talk but never enough that you're there forever because she keeps asking you questions about your trip to Maui. She is always willing to walk you through procedures and explain the different instruments they use and their purpose. The dentist is also very friendly. My only complaint is that he doesn't spend much time with me, after the hygienist cleans my teeth. But I guess it might be that I never had a cavity in my 27 years of life. :) All in all, a pretty fine establishment. read more

I simply don't know why I keep going back. They use to have a wonderful dentist... 3 yrs ago. Ever since, it's almost a joke. This place won't do a root canal if you need it. This place won't even pull a tooth... Each time I go in, I get a totally different "opinion" of what is "needed", when the competition says nothing is needed. Horrible. The doctors at this location report that they bought the business from Dr. Crabtree, recently deceased. However, my experience with this "dental group" at Dr. Crabtree's old location is "one star" rated. I arrived at 9:00 a.m. for a scheduled one hour appointment, the doctor did not see me until over 45 minutes later, and I was in the chair for only around 20 minutes. I called to schedule teeth cleaning and to replace a filling among one or 2 other complaints, but the doctor instead spoke quickly about x, y and z and did not have the cleaning performed or the filling fixed. Showing up to the office was a waste of my time since he dentist did not take the time to perform what I originally requested. It was my impression that the scheduled procedures were skipped because the dentist was behind schedule. read more

Our insurance helped to narrow the scope, but I am so glad that we found Insight! Both dentists are excellent and knowledgable. All of the hygienists we have had (particularly Nancy) have been gentle and thorough. They send you email reminders and newsletters. You can even confirm your appointment through your email! What a racket! The first time I went here, the female used car saleswoman ummm...dentist, was up-selling mouth guards. Six months later, when I returned for a teeth cleaning, this gal was pushing snoring devices. After the hygienist finished, the female dentist advised me that I had 4 cavities. Odd, how I've never had a cavity in my life, but in a period of 6 months, I developed not one, not two, but four cavities. LOL, now for the real story. Presumably due to numerous complaints and exorbitant claims for unnecessary procedures, my insurance company pulled this con-artist ummm...dentist from their in-network coverage. I told her I would get a second opinion, but that didn't stop her from calling and leaving messages to schedule "this work soon." And once the insurance company kicked her to the curb, funny thing, all those calls for unnecessary treatment stopped. I got a second opinion from a reputable dentist. I came to see Dr. Mary abdou, and she said I only needed a filling, a crown would be a waste of my money. I got the filling and my tooth is fine. The other reviewer is totally right about this being a waste of time! I went there last week to get a cavity taken care of. The cavity happened to be in between 2 teeth- and was apparently tough to get to. But not my problem- they said they'd take care of it when I got my cleaning done a few weeks earlier. Anyway- so, when the dentist- Dr Mary Abdou couldn't get to it- the hygenist was trying to help her- and ended up doing most of it. I was glad that it was at least done! While eating dinner that night- the filling popped out. So I called them the next day, and they asked me to come in again to have it looked at. When I went back, the dentist was unsure- and had no clue what to do! This time , it gets worse- the receptionist was in the room and telling her what to do! I really should have walked out right then- but stayed to give the newbie dentist a second chance. Not even 12 hours had passed- and the filling came out AGAIN! I of course, called them and asked for a refund- the receptionist said she'd call back- which she did within a few minutes- and refunded my copay money, without any problem. (At least that) Now I have to look for another dentist- to make sure they haven't made it any worse. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! She still has a long way to go. read more

From the onset, I was very impressed with the front desk personnel, & Nancy, the hygienist! She was very competent in getting great x-rays & gave me some helpful tips on better brushing & flossing. The entire support staff was great! After an evaluation with Dr. Bove, he suggested a night guard to help with grinding. I would highly recommend Dr. Bove' for any dental needs!
