We stopped in on Saturday August 1, 2026 for a coffee and some shopping. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. We loved the variety of craft offering and the prices were great. We had hoped to get back before they closed for ice cream but a side quest to Max Patch took a wee bit longer than expected. I realized after shopping here that they are at a new location due to Hurricane Helene. I'm unsure if their current location is permanent, but they are currently located at 311 NW US 25 70 HWY, Hot Springs, NC 28743. This was one of very few small businesses that had yet to reopen when we visited. So we wanted to stop in and show our support by buying some gifts and a cup of tea. Still in the process of reestablishing, their new space is coming along nicely. Lots of pretty jewelery, trinkets, crystals, various gifts and even a small selection of plants. It appears that multiple talented artisans sell their work here. I've wanted a Rose of Jericho for a long time, but had resisted buying one so far. There are reports that much of what is available on the market has been poached from wildlife. But when one of the owners noticed my interest in them, he told me how when they were finally allowed to come back after the hurricane, they opened the door to their flooded shop to see all the Rose Of Jerichos alive and floating in the water. "I knew right then that we were going to be ok." I was sold and will cherish mine, with this sentiment attached. I also bought myself a new little Pilea for my Fairy Garden, some beautiful earrings, and a handful of gifts for my loved ones. I snagged a hot tea as I paid for purchases and then used their clean restroom before we headed out into the wilderness for the day. This seems to be another favorite amongst the Appalachian Trail pack, and I can see why. Im looking forward to coming back later in the season and seeing their progress in rebuilding. read more

Oh my gosh who would have though...goat cheese and bing cherry ice cream. I have tried some of the other flavors and they are delicious, but this one is definitely my favorite!. So creamy. Nice place! recommend if you want to hang out and read. There are lots of items for sale from local artists and perfect place to pick up a gift for any age. What a lovely little place. We got a brewed coffee, a mocha, an Apple fritter and a Raspberry chocolate chip muffin. We were greeted and helped by Stacey. Who was so nice and helpful. A nice warm greeting is always so nice. The brewed coffee was great. Not too dark roasted and not to light. A nice smooth medium roast. My husband had the mocha and said it was great and he likes that it wasn't overly sweet. He said the same about the Apple fritter, which sweetness relied more on the apples than a ton of sugar. I had the raspberry chocolate chip muffin. Which I thought was yummy and filling. Couldn't eat the whole thing in one setting. Only complaint, needs more raspberry's. This place is more that just coffee. It's an Artisan store with so many talented artist. Worth the visit for that alone. We will stop by here again when traveling through. read more

Great local coffee shop and art gallery. While staying in Hot Springs, I dropped in for some coffee one morning. They serve an array of coffee and espresso drinks -- from normal to exotic. Even the regular brewed coffee seemed freshly roasted and delicious. They also offer a lot of other local food products too. The ice cream and kombucha are made in Nc. I had the kombucha (which is on tap) and it tasted pretty good. Nice choice for a quick snack or search for local arts/crafts. read more

Everytime I stop in Hot Springs Artisun Gallery and Cafe is one of my goto spots. It's a cute and quaint shop with coffee, ice cream and art. It's a fun place to browse through or sit and enjoy. Typically the weather is cold when I go so I order a warm beverage. Today I ordered the americano and my parents ordered the brewed coffee. There are many choices to choose with options of regular milk, almond, coconut, and or soy. The cafe has tea, baked items, many flavors of ice cream, smoothies, kombucha, golden milk... a lovely list of healthy options. The shop as a ton of local art. I love to browse through all the fun items and read through the poetry listed on the wall. There is Jewelry, stones, honey, nature inspired items, socks, creams.. so many items to see. While browsing or sipping Artisun offers free WiFi should you need it. Being in mountain area cell service is typically 0 for most. So next time you're in Hot Springs stop in and sit on one of the cozy couches and enjoy! read more

Lovely shop in a beautiful town. Neat gifts for everyone in the family, including your four legged kids. We had some ice cream. I got the cookie dough, while my husband got banana and both were delicious. We sat outside in their little outdoor cafe area while a little shower came through town. Phillip and staff are lovely! There are so many tasty beverage choices - be sure to try the Philthy Chai! They have ice cream made in Ashville, and kombucha made in Marshall. Everything is so fresh and satisfying. Then there is the locally sourced, handcrafted art and gifts. I purchased some Fire Cider, Elderberry Syrup, Ginger-Hibiscus Raw Honey, and a Shampoo Bar from local herbalist, Earlybird Medicinals. LOVE these products. Makes me feel good to support local artisans. There is so much more available - handcrafted quilts, hand carved wood home goods, fantastic art, handmade jewelry. Treat yourself! I think this one of the best places in town. I could've loaded up on wall plaques, car magnets, incense and such, but I was on a motorcycle, so I tried not to tempt myself. We were staying upstairs at the Iron Horse Inn, so I pleasantly surprised when someone mentioned that this is the place to find the best selection in town for wine. After searching several other places, I can attest that this is the place the find wine. The other places carried brands like Barefoot and Rex something, this place had the middle of the road wines that I like. Not too cheap, but not too overly expensive either. I settled on a Chardoray to take with me to the Hot Springs Spa, I think it was around $17. There's a Yelp check-in offer. If you spend $10 there, you get a free iced coffee. I'm not a coffee fan, so I wasn't upset when the clerk said that she didn't know anything about the offer and that I would have to keep my receipt and come back when the owner was there. She probably knew that I, like most people was staying around a few days, so it wouldn't be a big deal to come back. So the next morning it worked out perfect, I met the owner and enjoyed my free iced coffee at the bar. I mentioned that I'm not a coffee fan, but Gowever she put in coffee was perfect. The ice cubes were even made of coffee. I dint know if that's a common thing for iced coffee, this was the first one that I've ever had. I can honestly that I can now see myself drinking the stuff iced from now on but I have a slight inclination that nothing will ever compare to this first one. read more

Owner is rude and intrusive. We spent $200 at the shop & as we paid, he disputed with his son who rang us up, our total ring out price. We insisted if there needed to be a change, we could review. The owner kept telling his son he was wrong but the son suggested it was ok. We said we didn't want any trouble. After we left, we were waiting for a table at the restaurant next door. We decided we were uncomfortable with how things were left and wanted to make sure the son didn't get in trouble. We returned and the owner responded negatively at us & angrily said that our input was unwelcomed and to stay out of how he runs his business. The owner then waited until we were seated at the restaurant next store to harass us further while we were ordering drinks from our server. He tried to make us pitty him for a having a bad day while not letting us get a word in. He made an situation for his costumers even more awkward; the art shop owner invaded our dinner table creating a now uncomfortable dinner situation for us and our server. We had tried moved on by enjoying dinner. The owner then messaged a guy we met earlier and had him text us about the petty, well passed situation that seemed settled when we left his store, for the first time and to never return. Would un-purchase my items if possible as now I have to sage them for coming from shop with such a negative owner. Cool items in shop but the devil can look nice too. Usually when you buy "artsy" things, you remember the person whom you bought them from. This time, we just want to forget. What could have been a lovely memory, turned into a over obsessive owner who manages poorly and wants others to feel bad for him while trying corner you, the buyer. No thanks to this two-faced owner; hopefully someday the son will take over and the shop will be a more peaceful place. Until then, plenty of other fish in the sea and plenty of other stores with sweet owners out there. read more

ArtiSun Gallery is a great little place for checking out some of the local artists and grabbing a quick snack, espresso, ice cream or breakfast. Although most of the art showcased here was not to my personal taste, I can definitely appreciate the craftsmanship that went into their creation. Paintings, lamps, photography, metalwork and stonework were all on display and would surely make excellent gifts. They also have a good selection of wines from around the area. I stopped here for breakfast one morning and was more than satisfied with the bagel and coffee. The young lady behind the counter was exceptionally friendly and was able to answer all of our questions. read more

Didn't actually go to the store but my wife picked me up a small cup of Coconut ice cream. The verdict: some of the best ice cream I've ever had...ever. No joke. Another great flavor I hear is the Salted Caramel. Apparently the ice cream they get is only made in small quantities at a time so sometimes they'll be out of ice cream. We made a few trips to the cafe while we were in town. They seem to have a little bit of everything. The coffee was good, the carrot cake was amazing (worth the $9 and totally shareable). We stopped in on our way to Wilmington. A cute little shop with unique handmade crafts. The barista, while I didn't get her name, was very jovial and interactive. Their coffee was quiet delish to boot. I had their iced coffee with coffee ice cubes and an espresso shot. It had great flavor and punch.
