Stopped in here on our trip to Charlotte from Knoxville. They are starting to rebuild after the hurricane. Cute spot by the river, and I can see it would be a great spot to hang out when the weather is nice. It's easy to get to, just off the highway, so perfect if you need to grab real food and stretch your legs for a bit. They have a nice array of coffees. My latte was a bit on the sweet side, but I know for next time to ask to go light on the sweet stuff. The menu was pared down, being the off-season, but they had a few things, and my sandwich was executed well, and it was very good! The potato salad was also delish! I guess there are two buildings - a restaurant and an order window. I was waiting in line at the order window just to order coffee and fries to go. The first thing the lady at the register said was "are you going to place an order?" Well yeah....... I'm standing in line to order, not just for the hell of it. So when I ordered the coffee and fries and water bottle to go, it seemed like she didn't know what the concept of "to go" was, bc she had to ask someone else multiple times about placing an order for fries, and they also seemed confused when the order was made and they were just walking around with the items, asking this large group of people and not even bothering to come to where I was, until the group pointed them to my direction. Anyhow, the fries are unsalted. Tasteless. And the cold foam that the person at the register said would be on the coffee wasn't even there. I was ordering for my pregnant sister and seems like they can't even get a simple order right. They lack an organized system to keep track of who orders what. They don't take names down, they don't have numbers to give out, they don't have an area for people waiting on their items who just want to grab and go. This is unfortunate for what could be such a cute spot that's right by the water. You'd think they'd be more efficient with their customer service. read more

It is located right along the Pigeon River, beautiful vistas of the mountains & white water rafters floating by. What a great location! The barista was super kind & the coffee was delicious! Creek side dining drew us in and the sandwiches & staff will always have us back if we are in the area. We hadn't read the reviews about the damage they sustained during to Hurricane Helene, but they were definitely hit. They are making the best of their situation. So glad we stopped for their awesome fresh made unique toasted sandwiches. We also had lovely patrons to converse with. Everyone dining had places to go, but all stayed a bit longer to converse, enjoy nature and savor their meals. There are not a lot of food options in town but the bean trees definitely was a great choice. We sat outside and enjoyed being able to look out on the river that we just went down the rapids on. We were large group but the staff did a nice job of tending to us quickly. I had the bbq pulled pork and my kid had a grilled cheese. With such a large crowd they did a really nice job of getting the food out timely to the group. We enjoyed our meal and would stop in with a crowd again. read more

We sat outside by the river and had a delightful time. Toni took good care of us, bringing beers & food in a timely manner. Two of us split the nachos which were exceptional. If you don't like hot, get it without the jalapeños. There was plenty for two, but all of us could have eaten it and been full. Husband had the fries and pork even though Husband asked for a recommendation & Toni said the burgers were better than the pork. After eating the pork, which he said was okay, he said he will have the burger next time. We also heard a gentleman RAVE about the burger on the way out. Husband said the fries were exceptional! Amazing food, awesome staff and gorgeous overlook. They are rebuilding after flooding last year. I recommend a stop for the atmosphere and food. We stopped with our lacrosse team after rafting. This place is at one of the few rafting locations in eastern TN. The restaurant is nice and quaint with seating outside by the river. Prices aren't bad and you get a discount for paying cash. I order a simple bagel with egg and bacon to go. I was going to leave and return but the young lady said it would be quick--so I waited. It took over 20 min because the kitchen didn't appropriately hang my order so they didn't make it until I asked the young lady to check on it. I waited all that time for a bland sandwich. Disappointed. Everyone was super friendly though. The restaurant employees and rafting employees seem to have good relationships so it's nice that that it works that way. read more

A funny name, but don't let it fool you - this place is worth the stop. On our way to Knoxville from Max Patch, we stopped here with some interest. It is a unique location with plenty of outdoor seating right on a scenic river. The staff promoted a laid back vibe that added to the fairytale-like nature of the restaurant itself. One of the best places to get food if you are around Gatlinburg area. There are lots of activities like Rafting and other more stuff nearby. The people here are friendly. Definitely go out to the patio and sit by the riverside. The view is exhilarating, so don't miss it. Grab a beer and let the wind touch your senses. There is long wait after you ordered the food, but that is no reason to not go, because everything else makes up for the 5 star. I ordered the Panini and it was amazing.
