I had a rushed experience the last time I was here. We were going to be late for the movie. Parking is not bad, but it's not the best either, so we ran from our spot, into the mall, and up the escalator. I am an A-List member, so I bought the tickets in advance in the AMC app and was able to get in quickly with my son. This place didn't check my ID (which they are supposed to do with A-List), but I wasn't complaining, because we were late. From my mad dash to the theater, I wasn't able to spot any major flags about this spot. From my perspective, the theater was clean, the seats were perfect, and the fact that I'm part of the A-List membership, it's hard for me to complain about much. I just wish parking was a bit more convenient. read more

I am beyond disgusted by this AMC at Westshore Mall. The place is a complete dump. There were bugs crawling everywhere, the theater was dirty from top to bottom, and to make it even worse, I LEFT WITH BUG BITES after the movie. That is absolutely unacceptable and disturbing. The seats were filthy, uncomfortable, and clearly never cleaned, the floors were sticky and gross, and the entire environment felt unsanitary and unsafe. I paid to watch a movie -- not to sit in a dirty seat and get bitten by bugs. This location is a health hazard, and management should be embarrassed. Until this place is properly cleaned and taken seriously, do not waste your money here. One of the worst theater experiences I've ever had. read more

Our theatre was full and there was a group of individuals sitting in the back row causing a huge commotion purposely throughout the movie. I've been "just okay" satisfied with this theatre since I've been living here about 5 years now . Tonight was the worst . The theatre that we were in smelled so bad upon entering , it was ridiculous. The seats were dirty and smelled very old . I don't think I've ever experienced that . I'm usually in a bigger theatre . Tonight , i was in Theatre 1. You would think that spending $80 for two people to enjoy a night out at the movies would at the very least include some decent AC! This is the second time I go that I have this problem, last time, besides the hot theatre, there was also a bunch of kids making all sorts of noises and yelling and even jumping around like animals (I see this is a recurring problem for this theatre) and no one from the clean up crew did anything about it. Mind you they cleaned it mere moments only before the movie began. Tonight I had to go ask them to turn on the AC TWICE during one movie because I was literally sweating buckets! In the main area it feels nice but they keep the actual theatres super hot to save on electricity, although the price tag does not show it! Do better! read more

My review is not on the cleanliness or staff. My issue was the previews on a PG-13 movie (Five Nights at Freddys 2). While the movie was rated PG-13 the movie trailers shown at the start of the movie were extremely graphic beyond PG-13. Every trailer was a horror film. People getting murdered and sliced up, screaming. By the time the trailers were over I wanted to leave. Five Nights at Freddys wasn't nearly as graphic. I had my 9 year old granddaughter with me as she likes scary movies but they were more graphic than a PG-13 should allow. I just wish they would tone it down a little. The previews should also be rated appropriately to the rating of the movie you paid for. read more

I have been to this AMC a few times when the movie we want to see if not playing at our local AMC in Dolby. West Shore's Dolby theater is on the smaller side compared to Veterans or Woodlands but I still like it, sometimes when there are too many people in the big ones you feel like so packed in there. This AMC is connected to the West Shore Mall so you can plan dinner at one of the many restaurants that outline the mall and then grab a movie afterwards for a fun movie date night. Those are Ben's favorite so we do them whenever there is a movie that I want to see. LOL. read more

Has been a couple years since I've been to this theater and it's definitely improved since I was there last. Big upgrade in terms of the quality and comfort of the seating. Also like that it is now reserved seating. Went here to see Barbie and the place was absolutely packed but staff kept the ticket and concession lines moving. The parking is still a point of confusion, finding the right garage to be just outside the theater isn't obvious if you haven't been at this mall before, but there is tons of parking elsewhere if you use a different entrance. read more

This is the closest big movie theatre to my home. Now that my kids are "old enough," I decided to venture in to bring them to their first in-person movie. The theaters are in decent repair with comfortable velveteen seats. I like that you choose your seats when you buy your tickets. They have a McGuffins for alcohol, but we were there for a kids movie, so we stuck to soda and popcorn from the normal concession stand. During my visit, there were no live people at the ticket counter. I guess no one pays with cash any longer? There are big touchscreens for ticket purchases (or to print up tickets bought online), and they worked quickly and easily. Bathrooms were kept in reasonable cleanliness. There's plenty of parking if you park on the 3rd floor of the attached parking structure that's on the northern end of the Westshore Mall complex. read more

AMC Westshore 14 is a great movie theater! I went last week to see Licorice Pizza film. I love the hallways filled with neon, the big concession stand and the friendly staff. I had a great time and used my phone to reserve seats. Will return very soon. Movies are 30% of on Tuesdays when you reserve on AMC app. read more

While there is a certain amount of charm in a movie theater that feels like it hasn't been touched since the late 90s, that charm runs out once you realize you aren't getting the modern movie going experience you have paid for. First of all, for someone who isn't a regular - this theater is VERY confusing to get to. Make sure you allow extra time if it's your first. Expect almost no staffing anywhere (somewhat standard for AMC theaters these days) and lots of burned out neon. The carpets and kinda gross and your worries about the cleanliness of the seats are likely justified. Sound and picture quality were fine - but if there are better theaters in the area - I would probably visit them next time instead. read more

This is a decent enough theater attached to a decent enough mall, so it deserves a decent if underwhelming review score. From the sound of it, they remodeled somewhat recently and this does feel like they tried for a few more of the fancy modern options like self-serve drink dispensers, decently comfortable seats, and a spacious layout in the theaters themselves. It's not a huge multiplex, but when we were there on a Friday afternoon it was obvious why. It's not highly-trafficked even on what I'd expect to be a busier day of the week. There were a fair few people for a showing of Dune in the early evening, but not overmany. I'm not from the area so I don't know how much in-person attendance dropped off because of the pandemic and associated protocols, but since almost no one in Florida seemed to be wearing masks for the most part, I'd expect it wasn't affected as much as it may have been in other states. The snack bar doesn't accept cash, just so you know. They have signs informing customers of this ahead of time, which is more consideration than some businesses will afford. They also have a full bar in the lobby so you can get an alcoholic drink before entering the theater if that's what you're into. I've always been a fan of the fact AMC names their theater bars "MacGuffins" so that's a mark in their favor. Overall, we saw two movies on a Friday afternoon, ate some popcorn, had a good time. Nothing stood out as stellar, but nothing made me reconsider ever returning there again, so I'd probably see a movie here if I was in the area with some time to kill on a future trip. Not a place to go out of your way to, but not a place to avoid. Perfect middle-of-the-road. read more

Nice theatre. It's connected to the mall and near seasons 52 so there are plenty of dining choices. My little one and I go for the latest children's movie often. The staff is generally kind and good dealing with the crowds. They have theaters for real 3d, the the digital and the fil y experience with the plush seats. I always confuse them but it's fine. They have deals for the early shows and it's conveniently located. read more

I was worried about going here after reading some of the reviews. Maybe our experience was a little different bc we saw Dr. Strange in the nicer theater (number 14...Dolby*AMC) they have. Its seats DO recline but a little less and a little smaller than others. There didn't seem to be as much leg room when reclined. You still have to move your feet if someone wants to walk by and you are reclined. The carpet is old but the popcorn was ok. There was a lot of small/broken pieces. The sound is WAY to loud for us but most are so we being ear plugs and are ok. The seats rumble with the movie. How to get there: it's in the mall. All you have to do is park under the large AMC sign on the building, walk in and ride the escalators on the right up. Base tickets were almost $20 per person for the "nicer" theater. Overall, it's not a bad theater, it could use some updating, but the staff is nice and some theater rooms have recliners. We will reserve this theater for when the one closer to home (which is updated and a bit nicer) doesn't have movie times. read more

I've been to a few different theaters at AMC Westshore that I would rate two stars. During my last visit, I scored a recently upgraded Dolby cinema I'd give five stars. For me it averages out to about three and half stars. AMC can be found on the second level of the Westshore mall. There is ample parking on the top of the three-story garage attached. The escalators inside are currently under construction, so if you're heading up to the third level be prepared to wait in line for the elevator. Some of the theaters are a bit run down and feel cramped. The renovated theaters are amazing though. Leather recliners, brilliant screen color, perfect timbre, and powerful subwoofers that rumble your seat! Had that new construction smell to boot. Overall I think there are better AMC's nearby but a movie theater at the mall is convenient, and the Dolby experience raised the bar. read more

I really only go to the movie theatres for the Dolby experience, and their Dolby screen has a defect (wrinkle) in the upper right part of the screen. Very noticeable too. I've been to this theatre 3 times in the past year and it hasn't been fixed. read more

I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't realize this was here. Normally when I fly in, it's dinner , sometime by the water, date night and exploring. It took 3 visits for me to realize there was a movie theater within walking distance of my favorite hotel. It is inside the mall, so either come early to shop or shop after. The prices were fair. I went to a matinee screening. The concession stand had individually wrapped hand wipes easily accessible. There were lots of sanitizing stations and it offered reserved seating. read more

You have been dodging my calls and emails for a very long time and passing off the problems that are currently occurring at my property since July. I have been without a bathroom for three months now. Hearing that you wanna put a shower rod when I have been waiting for the so-called glass doors to be replaced is crazy. I signed the lease for four bedrooms and two baths. I have reached out multiple times to see what my reimbursement amount is due to the fact that it is my Floridian right and received no answer. I have lost time off of work to attend your 17 different construction companies that still have not completed their job. You are supposed to be a management company and you're supposed to be the manager, but nothing has been managed. This morning I received the news that the miscommunication three months later is still happening and the two weeks that I have been waiting for the shower to be done are still not approved. I was not only lied to by Debbie from LCS construction, who then proceeded to get upset when I called her a liar. This seems like middle school and high school games I'm going to seek legal counsel as to what my legal rights are don't rent from this company regardless the market is going down and they can't even fill their houses. This movie theater is the absolute most filthy one I've ever been to. The fact we paid $117 for 4 tickets, 2 popcorn, and 4 drinks and this place was gross. The amount of people coming here and this place can't have the place at least have way decent. There is more popcorn on the floor than carpet. In the theater where there is tile, your shoes stick to the ground. Not just a little sticky, it's like there was juice spilled for a few days and no one cleaned. All of the trash was overflowing. We left in the middle of the movie when I went to use the bathroom and saw how gross they were. There was no toilet paper in any stalls, but plenty on the floors. Paper towels all over the place. However, the one thing that made me leave was there was no soap in any of the dispensers or sitting on the counter. This tells me none of the employees were washing their hands before going back to work after going to the bathroom. Never again will I come back to this location. read more

I like this theater because of easy access. The rooftop parking has the direct access to the cinema. It has long cover walkway that help you at the raining time. We were here for the previews of King Arthur. We have a chance to watch this movie 4 day ahead of the actual showings. The movie is certainly a interesting way telling about King Arthur with mystical and magic. The staff of the theater was very nice. The emergency exit is well lid event at the theater. I like the seat. I hate movie theater with reclining seat. Most of the recliner seat alway bounce back and your back uncomfortable. This theater has fix back seat with good slope back support. It do not require me to fight the spring of the recliner for good back support angle. Only thing I would said is the bathroom stalls is a bit less. It need to be more. Also, I like someone to sell tickets instead of I walk to automated machine. read more

You drive up 3 stories to get to the entrance of this place & upon walking in, they have updated to pick your seats, etc. There's a bar area & the refreshments as well. The restrooms were not very updated and not the best maintained. The aisles are supposed to be marked with letters but they're painted on the floor, so if you don't go to the movies often you'll want to be aware of that. The seats aren't updated to recline or anything like that. However, my experience was ok. If you want a new, sparkly theatre with fancy seats it's not going to be for you, but if you're ok with a regular movie theatre you're good to go! read more

Last night we saw Good Boys at the Westshore AMC. I tend to go to this theater out of convenience bc it's very close to where I live. It doesn't have the most comfortable seats compared to the theaters with recliner chairs. It was very busy as it was a Friday night. Previously at this theater I've had issues with the minors talking and being disruptive during movies and addressed it with the staff. They came in and handled the situation appropriately which has been a big reason why I continue to come to this location. I think the price is fair compared to other theaters however I could pay the same for a theater with more comfortable seating elsewhere. The best time to come to this theater is on Tuesday as they have $5 tickets on that day. It's a great price and they even have offered deals on popcorn and drinks. read more
