The Dealership quoted me exactly DOUBLE to make various repairs on my car. Jared and Arvada German Garage got back to me instantly by email and phone, suggested a tow-truck driver to retrieve my car (and they paid half of that). They made best of a difficult situation with a dying battery. In mid 2017, I had Wright German Motor, now Arvada German Garage (AGG), replace a 6 year old battery in my wife's Audi as a preventative measure. 18 months later the new battery died. I took it to AGG not knowing Wright had retired. It turned out the new owners use a different battery supplier and could not obtain a new no- cost battery under warranty. They did install a new battery for about half price, $153, which I thought was fair considering the circumstances. The first new battery cost $400, so the $153 looked pretty good. read more

I have had my 2006 VW Jetta 2.0T for over 7 years. Over the years I have developed so many issues that no garage has been able to diagnose (including the dealership). I found them through one of the providers I work for. She saw how frustrated I was having my car in and out of different garages hoping to find one that could solve the issues. Other mechanics just threw different repairs out there in order to diagnose a problem. I have spent over blue book value in the last year alone. My first impression was a preliminary phone call with Jared. He was very kind and detailed in his customer service. He had so many answers to questions I have been having for years. This was the first time I have cried to a shop before, and I have had a lot of ups and downs with this car. I was so overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude. This all occurred before even making an appointment. I have brought my car there twice so far this year. I had so many problems that I had to split the repairs for different days. When I walked through the door it was like they have already met me before. Clean lobby with plenty of refreshments and snacks. I am greeted by Mike (owner) and Jared. Mike took care of all of my questions and thoroughly explained the problem and the solution in detail. I am definitely a person who likes to know how things work rather than what will work. I have asked these same questions to 3 different garages (including the dealership) and NEVER got the answers that Mike was able to give me. Jared is so great and he works those phones like nobody's business. I have had a lot of major issues with this car and spent thousands of dollars. I would come here just for the customer service and great prices. Nicki was so helpful and got me a rental right away with a discounted price from enterprise (which had great service as well). I am a very meticulous person. Mike test drove the car himself and kept an eye on the repairs to keep me updated. I really appreciated the extra look. They also paid for my rental for that day. I am so blessed to have found these guys. It has been 4 years and 10 repairs at the wrong shops. I can't even remember when my car drove this well. I wanted to love Arvada German Garage. Jared, customer service, is amazing and responsive. He even went as far as picking me up when I could not get a ride to the garage. However, after my 1st appointment (where the car had a simple coolant leak), the garage recommended upgrades that I agreed to have done. They damaged the axle in my car causing a massive oil leak. I called them and Mike, the owner, took responsibility. I came in immediately only to learn that they ordered the wrong part. I came in a few days later and they repaired the axle... or so I thought. They installed it incorrectly and a few days later, I had transmission fluid ALL over my garage. I called and left messages at the garage and no one responded. Out of desperation, I had my car towed to Mini of Loveland. Mike promised that he would "do right" by going up to the dealership to look at the car, in addition to calling them. He said I would not pay a thing. Weeks later, after my car was repaired correctly by Mini of Loveland, Mike called only to rant about about the dealership work and costs (really? they fixed his garage's mistake!). He said we could discuss a fair price (I wasn't expecting him to pay the whole thing) and avoided my calls soon thereafter. He sent a check for 1/6 the price and suddenly became unavailable. I commute a lot (100+ miles a day) and I own 2 German cars - a mini and a MB. Do NOT take your car here. What started with a simple coolant leak ended up costing 3 separate visits to Arvada German Garage, a tow to Mini of Loveland, and over $3500 in repairs many of which THEY caused. They promise lower prices (which in fairness, they do offer) but their work is questionable. Find another garage! read more

After seeing Arvada German Garage get some negative publicity lately, I felt it was time to share my experiences. I have no professional or personal affiliation with them; my opinion is neutral and without hidden motive. I usually only write reviews after negative experiences, so taking the time to write a positive review should speak volumes. Here's the facts: 1. I've been to Arvada German Garage five times. Services performed include oil changes, brake replacements, A/C system repair, serpentine belt replacement, power steering service, major engine work, sensor replacements, spark plugs, and other small items. Needless to say, I've given them enough work (and a lot of money) to feel out how they do business. 2. Jared at the front desk is the epitome of flawless customer service and good communication. It does not get better than this. If you walk away from an interaction with Jared feeling angry, then you're probably a naturally angry person, or unreasonably hard to please. 3. Mike, the owner, is ethical, honest, and tries his best to please. He believes in providing reasonably-priced service, but still at a high-level so that us "regular people" can afford to own these great cars. That being said, don't expect him to offer you a latte', stroke your ego (just because you drive a fancy car), tolerate abuse of his people, or take a $3,500 financial hit just to "make it right" for an un-pleasable customer who took matters into his/her own hands and ran up a high tab in the process (see review below). If you treat him with respect and do business equitably, then the favor will be returned. 4. They are cost competitive versus other independent shops, and charge a fraction of dealer service prices. When I first moved into the area, I price-compared about a half-dozen common services between Arvada German Garage and all of the other independent German car repair garages around Denver. What I found is that sometimes they were the cheapest, sometimes they weren't; however, on average, they are very price competitive. That being said, trust is earned and cannot be bought. Even if they were a little more expensive than other independent shops, I wouldn't care at this point. 5. Sometimes they have been late in completing work on my car and it annoys me; sometimes they've been early and I'm pleasantly surprised. This is the nature of having work done at a best-value shop with limited manpower resources (as compared to the dealers or large, independent shops). If you want a guaranteed completion date for your car, bring it to the dealer. That's what you're paying 3x the cost for...sometimes I have to re-remind myself of this. In summary, if you want the best value in German car auto service, go to Arvada German Garage; just make sure your expectations are commensurate with the price (and no, I do not mean that the quality of work is bad here). If you suffer from having excessive amounts of money and are willing to pay for the frills and kiss-your-butt service offered by your typical German luxury car dealer, then don't go to Arvada German Garage. I have a 1993 BMW 325i that needed extensive work done. ( joints, oil valve, belts and hoses, brakes etc) Mike, Jared and Nicki were so amazingly helpful, even took me to work after dropping my car off. The cost was literally a third of what I was given estimates at 3 other European repair shops, and they took the time to educate my dumb ass on what I need to do for future maintenence. In most cases, you get what you pay for. But the quality of repair and customer service can't be beat in Colorado. Hands down, they are the best. read more

I actually loved the place at first. Seemed very honest and true to what they needed to fix. Unfortunately I'm not sure I can decide if they are trustworthy or not. I drove a Volkswagen Jetta that had some issues. I spent $1,300 bucks my first visit there because there were some oil leaks. Problem seemed fixed until my car broke down 4 months later with the same exact problem. Because they seemed so nice and trustworthy the first time, I decided to take it back to them and have it resolved. I then spent ANOTHER $1,000 bucks to have the same problem fixed again. Problem seemed fixed for 9 months, and then had the SAME. EXACT. PROBLEM. Took it to another garage and they told me the problem was never fixed, it was just delayed and patched. Absolutely infuriating that after labor costs and parts, I spent around $3,000 dollars that never went towards a solution. Ended up running me into he ground financially and had to cut my losses and get a different car. I can't guarantee that they lied to me, but it was quite fishy to every other car expert that I knew, that they charged me to many times and never fixed my car. read more

First of all a tip-of-the-hat to Mike Solis (owner). I recently brought in my 2006 Mini Cooper to 5601 Garage for a second opinion for various things which the local Mini dealership requested that I have done. I was not impressed with the dealership's service and was shocked by their prices; this is where Mike comes in. First, 5601 Garage quoted me well below others, about 30%-40% lower. Numbers like that are usually suspect, because you get what you pay for; however, in this case I was proved wrong. I dropped the car off, picked it up a few hours later and when I was handed the invoice it was actually lower than the quote. When I asked why, I was told that the strut mount that I was having replaced was "easy and went pretty quickly", so they deducted some labor costs. What!? This is the most honest and fair garage I have ever been to! $$$ SIDE NOTE: While replacing my broken strut mount Mike noticed that my vehicle still had shipping spacers on both front struts. (BWM installs these plastic spacers prior to shipping vehicles to the US. and they are to be removed as soon as the car comes off the boat.) I have had my Mini into 3 different dealerships, in 3 states, twice complaining about the ride of the car and twice for full-vehicle inspection and not once did they notice this. Mike said that the spacers more than likely caused my strut mount to fail. He gave me the blown-out strut mount and the plastic shipping spacers and told me to take them back to the dealership, where I bought the car new, and ask them to reimburse me for his work. UPDATE: as of last week R.S. Mini is supposedly cutting me a reimbursement check for Mike's work. Does it get any better than this? Conclusion. Go to 5601 Garage and ask for Mike. read more

Well "Arvada German Garage" now Wright Garage. I took my car in for repair because it sounded funny. They, diagnosed the "problem" told me it was my alternator, and suggested that I fix a few other things. I went ahead and spent $1200 on alternator, clutch fan and new drive belt. Got my car back and still same problem. its a very loud unmistakable squeaking sound, I asked if they had resolved the issue. Was told it was. But as soon as I started the car, the unmistakable sound was still there. I get that its trail an error sometimes but you didn't even resolve the problem at hand and told me that you had.They also drove my car 12 miles, broke my Mercedes emblem on the inside engine cover. Front window came back cracked. As well my passenger side window stopped working and my sun roof. Not happy... This was the second time I brought my car back to this shop and the second time my car came back with broken stuff. Although, the owner Mike did make it right the first time by replacing the parts that were broken and offering to shine my front head lights. Still doesn't hide the fact that the mechanic put broken parts back into my car and didn't say a word hoping id never notice. Why is it so hard, to find a honest mechanic anywhere? read more

I have gone to Dealerships (Too Expensive) I have gone to Bimmerhaus (they think they are all that and a bag of chips) but when I discovered Mike Solis and 5601Garage I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. He runs a great local business right in the middle of Old Towne Arvada. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and has very reasonable rates. He is a BMW Master Technician but he knows his stuff about all cars in general. I have had him work on all my cars. He wasn't afraid to go the extra mile and spend some extra time to track down some shorts I had in my 1988 535is and he has even helped me work on my daughters old 1971 Volkswagen Squareback. read more

Took my '07 Audi A4 here for a timing belt last week. I usually do most of my own car maintenance, but this job was a bit over my head. Their prices were very reasonable (~$300 cheaper than other places for the same work) and the service received was awesome. A timing belt is a pretty big job, and there were no issues and all OEM parts were used. I noticed they also filled up my washer fluid for no charge Jared was awesome to work with, and went as far as to drive me home and pick me up when the service was finished. Very simple: Take your car here. My X5 is now out of warranty, and I am tired of having the dealers eyes light up each time I bring my car in for something simple. After being quoted a small fortune at the dealership for a minor leak, I started looking around, and am quite pleased to have discovered Arvada German Garage. Keep in mind, what you're buying here is a good mechanic, friendly service (where you actually get to talk to the person who worked on your car to understand what was really wrong), and great prices. While lacking some of the amenities of a dealership, like having your car washed or a loaner car during service, I'll gladly trade those small things for a bill that is less than half of what I was quoted elsewhere. While visiting from out of town, the service engine light on my Passat came on. I called three local dealers and none of them would get me in on short notice. I called Arvada German Garage and they did their best to fit me in. The service was great, everyone very friendly and welcoming. My issue turned out to be a minor problem that was clearly explained and quickly corrected. If I lived locally I would quit using dealers for service and go with these guys - they're friendlier, more accommodating, just as knowledgeable (and probably more so because they service multiple brands), and fair and honest. I'm only giving this place one star because there isn't a lower rating option. After never having a single issue with my X3 in 8 years (always routinely serviced at Schomp BMW), I took it in to AGG for a minor window repair because I needed it done and the garage was conveniently located to my office. Within one (maybe two) week after collecting my car from them, I had to take it back to AGG for two strange behaviors that were going on with the vehicle. Slowly after collecting the car from them, one of my A/C vents wasn't working and my car was out of alignment (this was a previous issue that had gotten worse following this shop visit). I asked them to complete a thorough check and repair everything they found wrong with the vehicle. Several thousands of dollars later they had rebuilt the front end and repaired the A/C. I no more than picked the car up from the shop and the car was pulling from side to side much worse than it did before the repair. Additionally, the A/C completely stopped working. I took the car back to the shop and they sent me a quote for another $2,300...to replace the steering rack and the A/C. This place is unethical and will take you for everything you have. Do NOT risk your savings and give them a chance to repair (haha Ya Right) your vehicle!!! They claim they are "honest and care about their customers". If a company drops this line, multiple times, it's likely because they know it's FAR from the truth! Beware!!!!!! read more

These guys were so kind! My daughter was trying to get her Volvo's air emissions checked and the gas tank cover was stuck and would not open. (Of course, it was the last day before the temporary plates expired... ) We just swung in because this shop was close by the testing station, and they came out and worked at it and were finally able to get it to open. When contacting this garage my request was to remove the check engine light so that I could get my BMW smogged. 1 week later and 2500 dollar later the check engine light was still on. I did a stomp test to find out it was the o2 sensor. I replace myself for 45 bucks. Might try somewhere else next time. Nice people though. read more

I don't ever give reviews but people need to know how bad this shop is, They charge you for the parts they break. Let me start off by saying Mike the owner is a racist person. When I brought my car to him to get my valve gasket replaced due to a leak his shop (Arvada German Garage) cracked my valve cover by torqueing to hard. After a week my car started to smell like candle wax inside. I called him explained what's going on. Mike said bring it in I will fix it at no charge; Mike mentioned that their work is covered for two year if anything happens. When he took it for a ride with me to check if it smells or not he mentioned to me how he raises the price $200.00 for people with Indian accent over the phone because he knows how this culture likes to bargain (nothing wrong with that). That was an awkward conversation for me. That should have been a REG FLAG for me to take my car out of other. We got back to his shop he opened the hood and said it's the valve cover that's cracked needs to be replaced, then he went on and on about how everyone is doing this now replacing the valve gaskets along with valve covers because valve covers are not good after you change a gasket. (Ok why didn't you tell me that when I brought my car in to change the valve gasket?) So we scheduled a time for me to bring in my car. (Hint me thinking he is covering it under warranty for the valve gasket he replaced prior) When everything was done I come to pick up my car, he said as a good shop I won't charge you for the labor but I will charge you for the valve cover. The valve cover that was cracked by his shop. If I wouldn't have paid he threatened not to give my car unless I paid and insulted me in front of people, that the only reason I didn't want to pay is because I don't have money. I will never bring my car to him again, this is not even the whole story he lies a lot, overcharges people, and breaks their cars. Please take your beautiful car somewhere else. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I called up the place and asked if they could do a QUICK ecu reset for my 99 passat, the lady on the phone puts me on hold for a second, comes back and tells me it would be $118. I then told her that I already have the cable (which cost $14) and to register the software it costs $99 and they want to charge me $118 for a quick reset. I even offered to pay $60, because I know exactly what needed to be done. She said no, that is our service charge. I asked to speak to a mechanic and she said they were all busy. So I hung up. 5 minutes later I call up AUTOSPORT WERKS and the guy said if u can get the car here I'll do it for free. He hopped in my car and 45 seconds later my car is running perfectly! After arriving promptly and politely at the time suggested I was ignored for 15 minutes while the manager/owner? chatted about the weather with a customer and parts delivery driver. As a repeat customer I was a bit surprised. I'm not sure how long it might have taken to get a simple greeting or actual service because I decided to leave when they continued chatting about how much they liked using Uber to save money on parking downtown. read more
